This is the long overdue reposting of the unit from my game,
which is slowly coming back to life down in the Roleplaying section. Follow on posts will detail vehicle statistics, personnel rosters, and deck plans for the unit's Manatee (I haven't tried the Scout yet). I expect the whole effort to take a month or two.
Background: The Double Deuce was a ComGuard garrison unit on the Free Worlds League-Periphery border. They were rotated to Campoleone in 3050 and missed Tukayyid due to an upstream jump ship failure. Their headquarters units at the division (IV) and battalion (III) levels were destroyed on Tukayyid. They are now feeling the pain of the ComStar/WoB handover in late 3053. The Precentor of the HPG station they guarded was WoB leaning, and interpreted the hand over agreement to mean ComGuard equipment should have been turned over with the HPG. The Demi-Precentor commanding the unit disagreed, and called in some favors from his Explorer Corps days to transport the unit and all of its gear off-world. After a frantic last day that saw the death of their Commanding Officer and an even more dramatic departure, the unit is now outbound from Campoleone with a price on their heads. Unfortunately, their first day underway aboard their overstuffed ship has gone no more smoothly than their last day planet-side. First, the unit's second in command died in a suspiciously similar way to their original commander, followed by the discovery of possible sabotage of key repair parts.

Sure, though things really haven't progressed very far beyond where I summarized in the first post here. Bascially, I've added a new player (Maverick) who's first post covered the JumpShip end of the Omega and Nova calls exchanged between the Full House and Inside Straight. The other player who expressed interest hasn't gotten back to me in a while, but he's setting himself up on Astrokazy (which will be the next planetfall, though that's not in the PC's plans yet). I've also recontacted Failure16, who ably told the story of the discovery that the doors of 006 had been tack welded shut after the accident that rolled the jeep. That word will be circulating through the unit sooner or later, raising everyone's paranoia a bit more. For the time being, I'm working on reposting the TO&E while Maverick helps me flesh out the crew of the Inside Straight (and Ace of Drax). I should probably work on the crew of the Full House, too. That's about it, though if you have any more questions, I'll cheerfully answer them.
