I notice that IlKhan is not listed in the upcomming products list. I thought for some reason it had been listed in the past. Am I wrong?

Are you sure that you are not mistaking "The IlClan" (upcoming sourcebook describing the conclusion of the 3145 Era) for the ilKhan (title of the supreme warchief of the Clans)?.
"The IlClan" is listed in the very first post of this thread.

Yes, sorry, I meant IlClan. It is not mentioned in upcomming products. I was under the impression that it was closer to release, than say the Historical Wars of the Republic, which is listed in the upcomming releases.

I think Historical is probably coming out the soonest. As much as we would all love to see the Ilclan book right now.

Sadly that doesn't mean anything. Especially considering that both the CCAF and DCMS 2765 field reports are still listed on there. The webpage getting updated has a very low priority at the moment.

Last word we had from CGL is that Historical: Wars of the Republic is likely to be the next print book out.

on Catalyst twitter they're talking about finally arting the Handbook House Kurita which has been finished in writing for a long time. They seem pretty serious about getting it out.

Anyone else rather annoyed/perturbed that the Upcoming products page on the official site hasn't been updated in a donkey's age?

In a recent interview over on another site, Ben pointed out that many other companies would have jettisoned the project long ago and moved on.

I'm not sure whether that puts it at "labor of love" or "we're finishing this if it kills us all" status for CGL, but it's nice to hear a commitment to getting the product out.

My impression is that almost every product reaches both of those stages at some point or another during development. :)

I am more excited and anxious than anything else, but yes I would like to see the webpage updated.

The recent technical hiccup Catalyst had made my brain think "This is it!  They are updating the page and releasing new books to read!"  Imagine my disappointment  :))

But, I will be patient.  I think this year is really going to be something grand.  We are truly in uncharted Battletech territory and I am loving it  :D

Yeah nearly every product that CGL has done gets to what I call "Star Trek fight theme" threshold as it gets further along development.
Agonizing, frustrating, locked in combat with developer and product until one finally goes down.
Right about now Randall is probably throwing a Paper mache rock at the Kurita book while it slowly swings a bad punch at him.
It's not about winning or losing, no it's all about how many chapters have you added to the rule books after your crazy antics.

I wonder if IlClan is still at the stage depicted by my avatar, or if it's gorn beyond the initial brainstorming... ;)

90% of IlClan is written.

But it won't be on the docket for a while.

So this still has to be done?:

- So the last bits of writing
- Illustrations
- Final fact checking
- Layout

Critical difference: I'm only writing maybe 5% of the book. The rest is a multi-author effort.

I get the feeling that the ilClan book is going to be about Clan Wolverine.

Turns out Devlin Stone was Khan of the Wolverines the entire time. And since they got Terra first…. I can already imagine Nicky rolling in his… well, he didn't get a grave, he's Clan, he got fed to a tank of fetuses, but that's beside the point.
