New technologies enhance the game, unless its just a plot device like tech used for the Fortress.
I'm slowing reading the through Bonofire of Worlds, get the vibe (i'm in early part the book) that Polar HPG Network doesn't won't work that Fortress Walls are UP.

My question is: did they tell you or hinted as to whom is the IlClan is? While you may not tell us... did they ask you authors to write about it in the newer novels?

This would be the lamest way to find out who the IlClan will be. I hope to find it out the old fashioned way - by futile guessing until the day it's revealed.

Writers fiat and all...

I'd still be waiting until they print it just like everyone else...

I just asked if they told him and if so, would he be writing about it, that's all.

Of course. Hell, I wrote the book - and now have to do some rewriting of it because of this meeting. I know who the ilClan is, aff. We all worked together to refine the storyline. It isn't a case of CGL dictating to us, it is a collaborative head-banging effort.

No, I won't tell you who it is.
