(Research) Atmospheric Pressure Thresholds
« on: 28 July 2024, 11:02:51 »
On page 52 of the sixth printing of Tactical Operations: Advanced Rules, the following rule is provided under "High Atmosphere":

Quote
Airships: Each .1-bar atmosphere above 1.2 increases an Airship’s carrying capacity by 10 percent (round down).

This raises a few questions.

First, what exactly are the pressure thresholds for each category of atmosphere? When does High Atmosphere become Standard or Very High?

Second, while not technically a rules question, shouldn't atmospheric pressure be provided in pascals (the SI unit)? That would also avoid confusion with Barrier Armor Rating (BAR). It's an easy switch, too: 0.1 bar equals 10 kPa.
