quistion about TP Tokasha and Vega 3039
« on: 20 May 2019, 21:46:22 »
I saw on Sarna.net that Tokosha has some new mechs.  does the TP have some of the back story for them?  Does Vega 3039 have any new (or modified) mechs with back story in it?

no fluff in tokasha. the vega mechs have super short blurbs that are more pilot-centric.

Tokasha gave us a Omni Corvis?  what else did it offer up?

Various early Clan 'Mechs, ASFs. The Mongoose C, Lancelot C, new Coyotl and Lupus configs, the Fox and Minsk.
I believe someone said TP Tokasha is really a companion to TRO Golden Century. Figure that it will tell us about the 'Mechs more once it is out.

Sorry, my bad, only the Coyotl has a new config, the B. The Lupus merely reprinted all existing configs (Prime, A, B).

Various early Clan 'Mechs, ASFs. The Mongoose C, Lancelot C, new Coyotl and Lupus configs, the Fox and Minsk.

A lot of the "C" 'Mechs appear to be the results of experiments with improved technology. They function like the originals, but are built with Clan Endo Steel, double heat sinks, and weapons. Pretty nice.

The Fox and Minsk appear to be the first attempts at full production with improved technology. Sort of a shakedown design to work out the kinks of producing 'Mechs with the new tech. Also pretty nice.

I believe someone said TP Tokasha is really a companion to TRO Golden Century. Figure that it will tell us about the 'Mechs more once it is out.

I hadn't heard that, but the aerospace designs do list "TRO: Golden Century" in the "Era" block, so I guess it makes sense.

Maybe not officially a companion, but because they were developed around each other Tokasha was able to use and highlight some of the TRO:Golden Century tech in a way that usually isn't possible to a few years after publication.

The TRO offers more variants, more units, and unit fluff, and unit art.

Oooh :)

And yeah the TP Tokasha is a playful fan dance, a tease to whet our appetites for TRO Golden Century when ever it comes out :)
