3-D Maps
« on: 21 October 2012, 23:25:49 »
Hello.  Hope no one shoots at me for this.

With everything going electronic more and more, I was wondering, will the BT galaxy maps ever be converted to a three dimensional program?    This might be too expensive, or just not feasible.  But maybe not, advances happen and times change.

Just wondering about the future.  This may not be for many years yet, or might never happen, I understand that.  (edit: also, if this was asked about before already, sorry to duplicate a previous question)

Hi,

The BattleTech universe maps have always been 2D, and there are no plans to even think about converting them to anything resembling 3D. It is simply an impossible task, and besides our main avenue of showing the maps is in print form, so 2D is required.

with regards,

Thanks for the quick response!

Yes, it would be pretty much impossible without changing just about everything.  Just thought I would ask.
