      Altona

 Clan Smoke Jaguars counter offensive began with Clan Smoke Jaguar forces leaping into the Altona system. No Batchall was issued but the entire force began heading for the planet. Tai-sa Ishtar von Nielsburg, commander of the 5th Sun Zhang Academy Cadre, fired off the contact report to Luthien. He ordered his command to prepare to give their guests a proper welcoming. He then made sure Hauptmann General Jack Roberts, commander of the 20th Avalon Hussars RCT and General Melissa Coulier, commander of the 3rd Crucis Lancers RCT. Both units were on planet but hidden as well as they could.

  Gravenhage

 Clan Smoke Jaguar arrived in the Gravenhage system at the Nadir Jump Point. When they released the dropships and headed for the planet,  Chu-sa Dirk Hundingson, commander of the 10th Pesht Regulars, sent the message to Luthien. He then contacted Marshal Stephan Cooper, commander of the Davion Assault Guards RCT, located on the planet and in hidden positions.

  Hartshill

  When the Jaguar forces headed for the planet, Tai-sa Shin Oshiko, commander of the 2nd An Ting Legion, made his report to Luthien. All he could do now was await reinforcements. He had very well planned defenses to try and hold out in. He had been promised help would not be far away.

 12 June 3063
         Altona

  Galaxy Commander Devon Osis, commander of Tau Galaxy plus the added 43rd Jaguar Battle Cluster and 22nd Jaguar Regulars Cluster cursed his luck as he tried to count the number of Aerospace Fighters leaving the planets surface on intercept courses. From his count there were at least 5 Wings of fighters inbound on his forces. He only had 50 Omni Fighters to oppose the incoming fighter swarm. His only warship escort was CSJ Hell Fury, Fredasa Corvette. And he counted her 20 fighters into his totals. He was helpless to do anything but watch what was about to unfold.

 Commodore Shemp Harrangue, commander of the 20th Avalon Hussars RCT's Aerospace Brigade was aboard his newly issued Pentagon Dropship but still on the ground, along with 2 more Pentagon's. He and  Rear Admiral Dmitri Mollerskov, commander of the 3rd Crucis Lancers Aerospace Brigade had managed to convince Tai-sa Ishtar von Nielsburg to leave the Assault Dropships on the ground, for now. Sending them up with an active warship opposing them was asking to lose them. Today was going to be all Aerospace fighters whose primary target was the escorting warship.

 Captain Crissy Newdown, commander of the Fifth Crucis Lancers Aero Wing, flew her brand new Stuka K5b2C. To her left and right were the other fighters in her Wing. All were newly equipped with the Stuka K5b2C from Lycomb-Davion. Eighteen of the meanest Stuka's ever designed. They were the 3rd Crucis Lancers designated heavy attack Wing. The 6th Crucis Lancers Aero Wing were flying upgraded Corsair. She checked her on board plot and at the very edge of her radar range she could detect the incoming Jaguar fighters. She keyed the mic "Look alive folks, we have inbound hostiles. 5th, the moment they get in range we start loosing our LRM's at them. Remember our primary mission is to rip that warship apart if we can."

 Not long after, she saw that the leading Jaguar fighters were just entering her LRM range, she selected her LRM's and the moment she got a lock, she puled the trigger sending 40 missiles down range, the moment her launchers cycled, she sent another volley, then another and another. All 18 of her Wing's Stuka's were doing the same thing.

 Star Captain Nune's radar picked up the incoming swarm of missiles. He had been working on getting his Star properly lined up, he had too many warriors fresh from training. "Evasive maneuvers" He commanded as the missiles came on. He pulled his Sabutai into a climb and then angled hard down to try and throw off the incoming missiles. Even so, he felt his fighter shudder from impacts. He scanned his damage and saw that it was minor, but he also saw that he had lost 2 Bashkir to the incoming swarm of missiles. It was then that his fighter took several PPC hits "Stravag, these demons are using Clan PPC's." More impacts and he felt his fighter dying around him.

 Captain Crissy Newdown led her Wing right thru the oncoming Jaguar fighters trusting her escorting 6th Aero Wing to keep the Jaguars off her tail. She could see the enemy warship entering range and she started firing her remaining LRM's at the ship. The second she had exhausted her LRM's, she switched to her CERPPC's and really began tearing into the huge ship.

 Galaxy Commander Devin Osis could only watch as the enemy fighters ripped the escorting Fredessa Corvette to ribbons. Every now and then a enemy fighter was destroyed but they had accomplished their mission. The Fredessa commander made the call that his ship was badly injured.

         Altona

   With the Jaguar warship badly damaged, the 5th Aero Wing, 6th Aero Wing slashed into the Jaguar dropships. Galaxy Commander Devon Osis watched as a Union C came apart under the withering fire of the accursed fighters. But at least the withering return fire of his Dropships were having an effect as he watched several fighters destroyed. His dropships were finally beginning their descent into the planets atmosphere, at least then he could come to grips with his enemy on an equal footing.

 Captain Crissy Newdown was finally forced to break off the attack on the descending dropships due to low fuel. She started with 18 fighters, but only 13 returned to base.

 Tau Galaxy was finally on the ground and rapidly disembarked from their dropships. Galaxy Commander Osis gave the order to seek out the enemy and destroy them.

 Hartshill

  Star Colonel Hilliard Levi, commander of the 75th Jaguar Assault Cluster, had been given command of taking this planet and destroying it's defenders before moving on. His 3 Clusters had been on the planets surface 6 hours before they made contact with the enemy. A lone Battalion of the 2nd An Ting Legion struck the far flank of the 5th Jaguar Dragoons and then rapidly fell back. As he began turning all 3 Clusters to face this threat, another group hit the 63rd Jaguar Regulars. They then faded away as rapidly as they appeared. Star Colonel Levi had never commanded so large a force. This was his first Cluster sized command and now he controlled 3 Clusters. He figured this was going to be a long couple of days as night fell.

          Altona

  It took scouts until almost dusk to finally locate the enemy he so much wanted to destroy. Galaxy Commander Osis was no fool, he would launch his entire force on the enemy at dawn.

  Hartshill

 The night had been a long one for the Jaguar forces. Several artillery strikes had landed near the encamped Jaguars along with several probing actions. But now with dawn, the enemy strikes had ceased. Once again the Jaguars were on the prowl, they knew the enemy was near.

 14 June 3063
        Hartshill

 Star Colonel Hilliard Levi's scouts had finally located the enemies main defensive line late yesterday just before dusk. Now dawn was breaking over the countryside and he ordered the assault to commence. Artillery began falling amongst the rapidly advancing Jaguar Clusters. But it was not enough to halt the attack now enough to even seriously deter it. But the huge minefields were enough to cause the attack to falter as he lost 13 Omni Mechs to blown off legs. He pulled his forces back, he would have to use his Elementals to probe for a way around the mines.

 Altona

  Galaxy Commander Osis ordered the 5 Clusters in his command to attack. Almost 300 Omni Mechs surged for the enemies defensive lines several kilometers away. Artillery fire began falling all along his assaulting forces. His forces were almost within firing range of the enemy when he was alerted to incoming fighters. The Fifth Aero Wing came in on a strafing run at almost tree top level. Fourteen Stuka K5b2C let loose with their CERPPC's and several lighter mechs were destroyed outright, and several heavy mechs were badly damaged. Too little, too late was the thought that went thru Galaxy Commander Osis mind as his Clusters finally made the base of the long ridge the enemy occupied. As he watched, it seemed like the entire ridge exploded, but not up, but out. He watched as the 22nd Jaguar Regulars Cluster seemed to dissolve before his eyes.

 6 Regiments of Armor occupied the ridge line in heavily camouflaged fighting positions. The first wave of Jaguar Mechs had numbered 60, every Jaguar mech had at least a full platoon of tanks targeting it. As they reached firing range, just over 500 tanks were in range of the Jaguars. When the order was given, they fired almost at the same time. The effects were immediate, almost a full Cluster was down. The carnage gave pause to the other Jaguars.

 Galaxy Commander Osis was just about to order his forces to continue the attack when the call came from his landed Dropships. The enemy was attacking them in strength. He had only left a Elemental Trinary to secure his landing zone. "Stravag!!!!" He ordered the fastest Cluster he commanded to head for the landing zone. The 25th Striker Cluster was in mainly light and medium Omni Mechs and immediately took off for the landing zone.

 3rd Battalion of the 3rd Crucis Lancers RCT with their Battle Armor Battalion riding along swept into the Jaguar landing zone. Just behind them came 2 Regiments of Infantry in their Hover transports along with a regiment of empty Hover transports. The Jaguar Elementals tried desperately to halt the Lancers, but they found themselves being overrun by sheer numbers.

 The 25th Striker Cluster was being spread out with the faster Omni's quickly out pacing their heavier but slower brothers. As the first Omni's entered a wooded area only 25km from the landing zone, they ran into the Battle Armor Battalion of the 20th Avalon Hussars RCT. In rapid succession, 7 light Omni Mechs were felled by the 20th's Battle Armor. Hearing the warnings of the first to fall, the commander of the 25th Striker ordered his Cluster to mass for a more prepared attack on the woods.

 At the Jaguar landing zone, 3 Union C's had lifted off, but 3 Overlord C, 2 Sassanid and 3 Union C had been captured. The raiding Lancers rounded up the captured crews and as many of the Jaguars captured support personnel and loaded them into the empty transports and then sped away. 3rd Battalion and the Battle Armor raced to assist the 20th Avalon Hussars Battle Armor Battalion.

 Star Colonel Kessly ordered his 25th Striker to attack the woods. Once his Cluster was in the woods, and searching for the cursed enemy Battle Armor, the 3rd Battalion arrived. With 2 Companies of Scarabus and a full Company of Nightsky, the 3rd Battalion quickly moved into brawling range and began causing near panic in the enraged Jaguars as hatchets began hacking at their Omni Mechs. The woods prevented the Jaguars from having any sort of range advantage and the massive ECM cloud hampered even their sensors. Physical combat in their Omni Mechs was not something Clan warriors trained for and that put them at a severe disadvantage. With almost 2 Battalions of enemy Battle Armor in the woods also, the Jaguar Elemental Trinary was also at a severe disadvantage. Within an hour, Star Colonel Kessly ordered his 25th Striker, what was left of it to get out of the woods, only a Trinary worth of Omni's made it out.

 15 June 3063
        Hartshill

 Star Colonel Levi was just about to order his next attack when a message came over the radio "This is Galaxy Commander Elianna Deleportis of Clan Nova Cats Xi Galaxy to the Jaguar Commander, I challenge your forces to a Trial of Possession."

 Star Colonel Levi stared at the communication panel, he tried to recall what Clan Nova Cat's Xi Galaxy consisted of, but he was sure it was 2nd line and garrison units. He had almost 3 intact frontline Clusters. It would at least be a honorable fight, not like these cowardly surats and their mine fields and artillery. "This is Star Colonel Hilliard Levi, I accept your challenge Galaxy Commander Deleportis. I will defend with my entire command, 5th Jaguar Dragoons, 63rd Jaguar Regulars and 75th Jaguar Assault Clusters."

 "Bargained well and done Star Colonel Levi, you will face my 1st, 3rd, 10th, 11th Garrison Clusters." Galaxy Commander Deleportis said, she would hold her 12th Garrison Cluster in reserve.

 "I will pull my forces back to my landing zone and await your arrival. Star Colonel Levi out."

 Altona

 After losing his landing zone, Galaxy Commander Osis pulled his entire command back away from the enemies defensive lines. He was down 2 Clusters already. He knew he was in a really bad situation. He could not even flee this cursed world. At least not until he retook his dropships. He ordered his Galaxy to move to retake his landing zone. 5 Hours later, his 250th Assault Cluster retook the landing zone without incident and gave him the bad news, all of the dropship crews were missing and only 1/4 of his techs were found. Galaxy Commander Osis filled the sky with curses.

 17 June 3063
        Hartshill

 Galaxy Commander Elianna Deleportis and her Xi Galaxy landed just 100km from the Jaguar landing zone. Her selected Clusters disembarked and made ready for the Trial of Possession. Won't Star Colonel Levi be surprised when he see's us. One of the reasons Clan Nova Cat had been unable to fully outfit the gifted 57th Nova Cat Regulars was because Khan Carns had transferred 2 Clusters of Omni Mechs into her Xi Galaxy swapping out for her 2nd Line Mechs. Her warriors might be a little passed their prime, but they were to a warrior, veterans.

 She would keep her 3rd Garrison Cluster back a bit, it was Omni equipped and her strongest Cluster at 60 Omni Mechs and a Trinary of Elementals. Her 1st, 10th and 11th Garrison Clusters would lead off. The 1st Garrison Cluster had 5 Binaries of Omni's and a Binary of Elementals. The 10th had 3 Trinary's of 2nd Line Mechs and the 11th had 4 Binaries of 2nd Line Mechs.

 The Jaguar and Nova Cat forces clashed in a large plain, the 1st Garrison Cluster faced off against the Jaguars 75th Assault Cluster. The 75th Assault had a huge advantage in Elementals with 3 Supernova Trinary in it. But the 1st Garrison had the advantage in maneuverability and superior accuracy. The 10th Garrison faced off against the 63rd Jaguar Regulars which only had 3 Binaries in it. The 11th Garrison faced off against the 5th Jaguar Dragoons which had 3 Binaries also. After an hour of fighting, the 1st Garrison Cluster was losing against the 75th Assault, Galaxy Commander ordered the 3rd Garrison Cluster into the fray. The 3rd Garrison Cluster slammed into the 75th Assault like a sledgehammer. Star Colonel Levi began to lose control of his Cluster now faced with a fresh Cluster equipped with Omni Mechs itself. Checking the status, he saw that the 5th Jaguar Dragoons were almost spent, the 63rd Jaguar Regulars were being pushed back steadily. It was no use.

 "Galaxy Commander Deleportis, this is Star Colonel Levi, you have won the Trial of Possession and my commands are standing down."

 "Star Colonel Levi, I claim your forces as Isorla for Clan Nova Cat. I will await you at the edge of the battle field."

 Altona

 Galaxy Commander Osis had his entire force hunkered down in defensive positions around his landing zone. The seriously reduced technicians were doing the best they could to repair his damaged mechs. Could this get any worse, he thought to himself. It could and did.

 "Galaxy Commander Osis, this is Star Commodore Amanda Stiles aboard the CSJ Hell Fury, we have multiple incoming jumpship signatures. The size of the signatures is consistent with warships in bound. I have restored power to my ship, but armor is greatly weakened. I suggest you prepare for more hostiles."

 Aboard the FCS American Legion, Tarawa LF, Admiral Jonathon Steiner cleared his head as his ships emerged into the Altona system. Also in his small fleet were the FCS Ancon, FCS Cape Johnson, FCS Chaumont all Tarawa LF Transports. Aboard his small fleet, he transported the 3rd SLDF RCT, all 4 Regiments of what was once the Eridani Light Horse. He gave the order for the 3rd SLDF RCT to detach and his ships would escort them in.

 Gravenhage

 Khan Lincoln Osis had assumed personal command of the invasion of Gravenhage, escorted by the Sovetskii Soyuz cruiser CSJ Killing Strike and the Vincent Corvette CSJ Night Prowler, his forces made landfall without incident. All 5 of his Clusters were on the ground and ready to find the enemy and destroy them. He was in a foul mood, his other 2 commands had failed in their missions.

           Terra

 Archon Prince Victor Steiner Davion had just finished watching the broadcast of the ceremony on Mackolla. It had been broadcast all over the Inner Sphere and had taken this long to reach the HPG station at Okefenokee. Jesus Scott, you did not pull any punches. Just flat out called the Word of Blake murdering scumbags and announced it to everyone. Victor has been shocked at the totals of people lost to the WoB, he had heard the numbers long ago, but hearing them again, each broken out by incident had punched him in the gut each time.

 He looked over at Peter who had accompanied him to Terra for the Star League High Council meeting. On May 31, Peter had also worn a black arm band on his left arm, in memory of the Day of Mourning. "What are you thinking Peter?" Victor asked

 "Watching the actual ceremony was much more powerful. Right now, I am trying to think of a way to join Scott and the boys back in the Outer March in their march to Gibson against the WoB." Peter said firmly, but Victor could see the moisture in his eyes, the speech had hit him hard, he was there on Tortuga Prime with the 6th Davion Guards RCT.

 "Yeah, well for now, stow that thought away. The WoB is going to pay, mark my words, but only when the time is right. Because right now, all of the AFFC's free units are in the Combine supporting the Star League offensive there. It is going to be bad enough tomorrow in the High Council Meeting after this broadcast, not to mention the earful I am going to catch from Katherine and the possibility of protest all over the Federated Commonwealth demanding action against the WoB." Victor said

 "I am not going to do anything stupid Victor. Does MIIO have any more detail about the FWL military and estimates on possible rogue units?" Peter asked

 "Not much, they know SAFE is penetrated to such a degree that it might as well be WoB ROM. We know about the 5 Regiments that just up and vanished. The worrying thing is MIIO is confident that much of the FWL warship fleet is possibly compromised. To what degree, they have no clue. Best guess is 60% of the warships are compromised and possibly 40% of the FWL military is compromised. No one is sure right now of much of anything." Victor said

 "Damn, WoB has done a number on the FWL. I know we kicked their teeth in down in the periphery and they lost a ton here on Terra. I wonder just how much does the WoB really have?" Peter said

 "No one is sure, last estimate I saw was 10 Divisions as an estimate. But you couple that with half the FWL military and that is a bunch of trouble." Victor said

This brought an instant reaction from the Boss "Yeah, I was told about it. But let me tell you something and you can carry it back to your bosses. I take great pride in my work. The first time one of your quality control folks get;s in my face, I will throw him out an airlock and he can suck vaccum. I find it insulting and if I had anything to say about it, you SLDF people could buy your ships from the Free Worlds League. Might take them a year to build a dinky little Destroyer instead of the 6 months we do, but at least I would not have to put up with anyone looking over my shoulder. I expect your quality control people to be out in the slips, not huddled up in some office. We work around the clock, they better also."

  First Lord Candace Liao called the High Council Meeting to order. The Council had changed dramatically in the last year. For the first time, H.R. McIntyre was representing the Circinus Federation as a non voting observer, Julius O'Reilly was representing the Marion Hegemony and Grover Shraplen was representing the Taurian Concordat. saKhan Santin West was representing Clan Nova Cat.

 "This High Council Meeting is now in order, there have been several proposed items already scheduled by several Council Members, so let us get to work. Mitchell Avellar, I believe you have a proposal to make to the High Council today?" First Lord Candace Liao said

 "Thank you First Lord, High Council members, I would like to propose that Clan Wolf in Exile be granted non voting observer status in recognition of their unwavering contribution in assisting the Star League, first in liberating worlds from the Falcons and Vipers and now assisting in the removal of the Jaguars." Mitchell Avellar said

 "A proposal to admit Clan Wolf in Exile has been put forward, do I have a second?" First Lord Liao asked

 "I will second the motion First Lord." Haakon Magnusson, representing the Free Rasalhague Republic said

 "The proposal has been seconded and is now open for discussion." First Lord Liao stated

 "Why should we allow another group from the Clans into the Star League in any way? All they want to do is make war, they do not know the meaning of peace. Peace to them is rearming for the next war." Julius O'Reilly said

 saKhan Santin West decided to answer "While I cannot speak for Clan Wolf in Exile, I can speak for most Clan's in general. I am going to assume Clan WiE wants the same as Clan Nova Cat, a voice in how things should be. We are now a part of the Inner Sphere as a whole. Both Clan WiE and Clan Nova Cat have been removed from the Clan Home Worlds. Both of us have renounced the Invasion as a whole and Clan Nova Cat has promised to help defend the Inner Sphere, which we are doing at this time."

 "All well and good, but that still does not answer the claim that you Clan folks just want a war." Julius O'Reilly said

 This time Kai Allard Liao, representing the Capellan Confederation spoke up "From what I see, there is really no difference in either Clan Nova Cat and Clan WiE than there is in any of our nations. Take for example your nation Julius O'Reilly, your father was doing away with slavery, yet you have brought it roaring back. Where he once confessed to planning a war against the Illyrian Palatinate and then cancelling it, now I have seen reports that your nation is preparing to fulfill that plan of invasion. It is in the Star League charter and constitution that slavery is outlawed. Therefore you are in violation and in risk of being removed from the Star League."

 This caught Julius O'Reilly by surprise, he had not given the charter nor the Star League constitution a second thought nor even read it. Before he could speak, Kia Allard Liao spoke again, "First Lord Liao, Council members, we have a voting member in this Council whose nation he represents in clear violation of not only the Star League Charter but also the Star League Constitution. The Marion Hegemony is in clear violation and is continuing the barbaric act of allowing slavery within it's borders. I ask for censure and possible removal from this esteemed body."

 "You have no right to ask any such thing. The Marion Hegemony was a founding member of this Star League." Julius O'Reilly protested loudly

 "Yes it was, and your father signed and agreed with everything in those very documents YOU are ignoring. YOU have put your nation in violation of both the charter and the constitution. Both of which your father was trying so hard to uphold and improve before his death at your hands." Coordinator Theodore Kurita stated forcefully

 "Then why is Clan Nova Cat here, they have enslaved the entire Tortuga Dominions under their rule?" Julius O'Reilly countered

 "Clan Nova Cat has not enslaved anyone in the Tortuga Dominions. We have even transported 73,000 civilians who did not want to live under Clan Nova Cat rule to the Federated Commonwealth's Outer March per their request. All of those who live under Clan Nova Cat rule have free access to our medical treatment facilities at no charge to them, they have jobs, their standard of living is increasing monthly." saKhan West said, but he was growing very weary of this man heaping lies at his Clan.

 "The conquered a nation and tossed out the unwanted." Julius O'Reilly tried again

 "Actually, the Federated Commonwealth seized the Tortuga Dominions after my nation suffered a unprovoked attack by elements based there. We then ceded the worlds to Clan Nova Cat with no objections from any member in this High Council, your father included. It was a nation in name only, it was a pirate nest." Archon Prince Victor Steiner Davion said

 "Okay, Prince Davion, what about this loose cannon you have in charge of your Outer March. I am sure everyone here saw that broadcast last night. He all but threatened war against the Word of Blake. Do you condone what he said?" Julius O'Reilly tossed down the gauntlet

 Victor knew this very thing was going to come up in the Council Meeting, well best get it out of the way. "I have March Lords say stuff all the time, do I condone everything they say, no. But that is an internal matter and none of your business or the Council's business in how I handle that particular matter. So, let me go ahead and put this thought in your mind, the Federated Commonwealth will be offering the Illyrian Palatinate a mutual defense pact very soon. If the Marion Hegemony attacks the Illyrian Palatinate, I will offer to liberate their worlds for them and return them to the people of the Illyrian Palatinate."

 This caused Captain General Thomas Marik to flinch, the last thing he wanted was the Federated Commonwealth on another of his borders. This young fool was deliberately provoking Archon Prince Victor Steiner Davion. Time to put a stop to this quickly, but before he could speak, saKhan West spoke.

 "Clan Nova Cat stands ready to assist in keeping this Illyrian Palatinate a free nation." saKhan West declared

 Shit, that was worse than having the AFFC on my damned border, sure as shit the WoB will strike at them. Thomas Marik thought before speaking "The Free Worlds League offers to deploy the Knight of the Inner Sphere to protect the Illyrian Palatinate from aggression. Both Regiments. I can have them in place much faster than you Prince Davion or you saKhan West. The Free Worlds League does not wish to see a war so close to our borders."

 "That is very kind of you Captain General Marik, if you would prefer to deploy your Knights of the Inner Sphere to safeguard the Illyrian Palatinate, that makes things much better." Victor said, that is probably the only force you can say is truly loyal, plus now you have pissed off Julius enough that his vote is not a guarantee anymore.

 Victor was right, Julius was pissed at Marik for butting in. The Illyrian Palatinate was far enough from the Federated Commonwealth or the Tortuga Dominions that he was confident his forces could handle what ever token force they tried to deploy there, but the Free Worlds League was right next door. Should have stayed quiet Marik, you will pay for this.

 "Enough, let us return to the proposal at hand." First Lord Liao said "If there are no other objections, let us vote on this proposal allowing Clan Wolf in Exile as a non voting observer status.

 "First Lord, I have to object. Clan Wolf in Exile is not a nation state unlike Clan Nova Cat's status. If I am correct, Clan Wolf in Exile resides on Arc-Royal under asylum by the Federated Commonwealth." Captain General Thomas Marik said

 Mitchell Avellar inwardly cringed damn, I did not even think about that argument at all. "I believe Captain General Marik is correct First Lord, I must withdraw my proposal."

 "The proposal is withdrawn. Next order of business?" First Lord Liao asked

 "I propose we allow the Word of Blake in as a non voting observer." Thomas Marik said, might as well ride the wave a bit more.

 "Correct me if I am wrong Captain General, but the Word of Blake is not a nation state either. That is the argument you just used. Or have you ceded some of YOUR worlds to them and I missed that in my intel reports? Because if my intel missed that, some heads are going to roll back home." Victor said

 Shit, I did not even think that thru, dammit. Captain General Thomas Marik thought "You are correct Prince Davion, forgive me, I withdraw my proposal."

 "First Lord, I would like to return to my proposal for censure of the Marion Hegemony and possible removal from this body for clear violations of the Star League Charter and Constitution by allowing slavery to be both legal and encouraged. A clear violation of both." Kai Allard Liao said

 Julius O'Reilly had thought what Kai Allard Liao had said would have been forgotten, but no, he had to go and bring it back to life. Shit. Julius looked for some kind of support around the large table, but he only found hard eyes looking back at him. Screw it, at least we got a couple of warships and the ability to build shipyards out of this brief venture.

 "I concur." Thomas Marik said, at least then I can keep the Knights close to home.

 The briefing on the status of Operation Neutered Jaguar took up the rest of the morning until they broke for lunch.

 "I would be honored Prince Davion. It is technically Khan now, but until my warriors return from the front, it remains saKhan. Normally we would do a full recall, but I feel this mission is more important at this time. Khan Lucien Carns would have agreed with me." saKhan West said

 Khan Lincoln Osis and his 5 Clusters slammed into the defensive lines of the 10th Pesht Regulars which threw the first assault back but just barely. Chu-sa Dirk Hundingson, was worried, they had just barely been able to hold the line on that last attack. He quickly called Marshal Stephan Cooper of the Davion Assault Guards RCT for advice. "Marshal, we barely beat off that attack, the next is liable to break thru our lines, I must ask, do you have suggestions?"

 "Hold what you have Hundingson, we are on the way. We have kept our fighters on the ground until now, I think it is time to let them off their leash and raise some hell." Marshal Stephan Cooper said

 "I will give the order. We will hold until your arrival." Chu-sa Dirk Hundingson said

 Khan Lincoln Osis, was amazed that his troops had not breached the line. His Clusters had lost 42 Omni Mechs in that assault. The Inner Sphere troops are no longer the push overs they once were. But he was confident his forces would breach the lines in the next assault.

  The 304th Jaguar Battle Cluster had just forced a gap in the defensive lines of the 10th Pesht Regulars lines and were just pushing into the rear of the 10th Pesht Regulars when the 2nd Federation Heavy Armor Regiment of the Davion Assault Guards arrived on the scene. Equipped with 3 Battalions of Patton and Rommel tanks, the 2nd Federation Heavy Armor Regiment was a powerful force.

 Star Colonel Perry Taney, once a member of Clan Ice Hellion commanding the 53rd Striker Irregulars, had seen his Cluster of 4 Trinary's broken up after being taken by Clan Smoke Jaguar. Each of his Trinary's had been used to form the nucleus for a new Jaguar Cluster of newly graduated Jaguar warriors. He had been given command of the 304th Jaguar Battle Cluster. His new Cluster had 5 Trinary's in it, 4 Omni Mech Trinary and a Supernova Trinary. They had started the assault on this planet 75 Omni Mech and 75 Elemental strong, they had been the reserve for the first assault on this defensive position. This attack saw them in the lead. As he urged his Cluster to keep pushing, he spotted the rapidly approaching Tanks. "Star Captain Raphel take your Trinary and teach those tanks a lesson." Then without giving the tanks a second thought turned his attention back to widening the breach his Cluster had forced.

 Star Captain Raphel acknowledged the order and his remaining 11 Omni Mechs to follow him as he raced for the approaching tanks. Leftenant General Kent Frisk, commander of the 2nd Federation Heavy Armor Regiment saw the approaching Jaguars and his lead Battalion was already engaging them. Using massed fire, his lead Battalion was targeting each Omni Mech with a full company of tanks. His 2nd Battalion was equipped with Rommel Gauss tanks and they were right behind his Patton equipped 1st Battalion, which was his lead Battalion. The 2nd Battalion was now just coming into range of the Jaguar Omni's.

 Star Captain Raphel watched 3 of his Omni's quickly fall to the leading ranks of tanks fire. Then 3 more went down from fire. Screaming curses, his men launched themselves at the tanks, they had destroyed 17 tanks, and then 5 of his Omni's went down to a hail of fire. He killed another tank and then suddenly his ejection chair launched him from his Omni.

 Leftenant General Kent Frisk ordered his 2nd Federation to plug the gap in the defensive lines. Checking he saw that the 3rd Federation Armor was right on his heels, a full Regiment of Demolishers, 2 Battalion of new Demolisher Gauss and a Battalion of standard Demolisher. He called Colonel Lisa Nicole Schon, the commander of the 3rd and informed her of his intentions. "Lead on, we are right behind you, between us, we should be able to plug this gap."

 Khan Lincoln Osis had the 315th Battle Cluster stacked right behind the 304th ready to widen the breach, when suddenly the 315th began receiving heavy fire on it's flanks. Khan Osis watched in horror as over 100 Assault Mechs came over the ridgeline on his left flank and began attacking his 315th Battle Cluster. Marshal Stephan Cooper urged his Davion Assault Guards on, he had pulled each Battalions company of fast Mechs and formed them into a 4th Battalion. This adhoc Battalion was currently racing to assist in plugging the 10th Pesht Regulars defensive lines while his 3 Assault Battalions pushed into the Jaguars flank. Right as the Davion Assault Guards made their appearance, so to did the recently hidden Wings of Aerospace Fighters. 3 Wings of fighters from the Davion Assault Guards and the 10th Pesht Regulars Wing swept over the massed Jaguar forces and dropped massive bomb loads before returning to strafe the bunched up Jaguars at will.

 The 315th Battle Cluster was the first to break and fall back without orders, allowing the assaulting Davion Assault Guards to cut off the 304th Battle Cluster. While 1st Battalion chopped up the 304th from behind, the 2nd and 3rd Battalions continued to press their assault on the Jaguars follow on forces, now being strafed mercilessly by the Assault Guards fighters. The 32nd Jaguar Regulars broke next under the combined assault.

 Star Colonel Perry Taney knew his Cluster was defeated, now cut off from retreat, down to just over a Trinary, he surrendered his remaining warriors to save what he could from certain death.

 A single Trinary of the 74th Jaguar Assault Cluster had just managed to break the far right of the defensive lines when the fast 4th Battalion of the Davion Assault Guards appeared and ripped into them. In less than ten minutes, only 4 Omni Mechs of that Trinary managed to rejoin the retreating Jaguar forces.

 After talking with Star Colonel Levi the previous night, she had been surprised to discover that all 3 Jaguar Clusters she had taken as Isorla had all been taken by Clan Smoke Jaguar within the last 2 years from other Clans. The 75th used to be Clan Cloud Cobra, the 63rd and 5th Dragoons used to be Clan Star Adder. Just what was going on in the Home Worlds?

 CSJ Hell Fury never stood a chance against the incoming warships and massive Aerospace fighter escort and was soon adrift again without power, Star Commodore Amanda Stiles surrendered her ship. The 3rd SLDF RCT was only a day from orbit.

  On the ground, Galaxy Commander Devon Osis, was purely on the defensive. With only 3 Union C's able to launch for orbit and the rest of his force stranded on the planets surface, all he could do was hunker down and await arrival of assistance. His landing zone was being bombarded almost constantly by artillery moved into range by the Inner Sphere units. He was tempted to sally his forces out to try and destroy the stravag artillery but knew to do so would be foolish.

 The High Council Meeting was back in session after a 2 hour lunch. First Lord Candace Liao had during lunch sent a priority HPG message to the Illyrian Palatinate via the Star Leagues HPG stations and HPG Relay Ships. Word had come back swiftly, the Illyrian Palatinate gladly welcomes the SLDF help in deterring any aggressive action. This afternoons agenda was on HPG expansion and it's situation. This briefing lasted 4 long hours.

 "In conclusion, the Star League has been working hard at expanding and upgrading it's HPG network in member states. The HPG Relay Ships have been a huge help in filling in the gaps. Currently, we have the needed material and personnel on the way to Bamburgh and Mackolla to construct HPG stations there. Mitchell Aerospace and Shipyards at Demeter is assisting us on building the HPG Relay Ships, the personnel on the way to Mackolla are also carrying the needed mobile HPG's to construct 20 HPG Relay Ships for use in the Outer March and to assist us in connecting Clan Nova Cat with our existing HPG network. Though expensive, these ships are proving vital to maintaining HPG coverage in the existing network and also allowing us to upgrade and perform extensive maintenance on existing stations without losing coverage." Director Sharilar Mori said

 "Thank you Director Mori, anyone have any questions for the Director?" First Lord Liao asked

 "I still do not like that the Star League is doing nothing in come member states" Thomas Marik said

 "Please Thomas, let us not go down this path again. Expansion and upgrading of HPG networks inside your realm and a few others is a matter for the Word of Blake. The Star League has nothing to do with the HPG networks inside the Free Worlds League, Taurian Concordat, Magistracy of Canopus or even the Circinus Federation." First Lord Liao said

 "I still don't like it, my people pay taxes to the Star League and so do the nation you just named off." Marik insisted

 "90% of the Star League budget comes from the HPG network revenue stream and also transportation revenue. Last time I checked, the Free Worlds League and certain other nations HPG revenue stream goes to the Word of Blake, not the Star League. Got a problem with your service, talk to the Word of Blake. This ends the discussion Thomas." First Lord Liao said firmly

 "If there is no further business, we will pick this meeting up in the morning, it has been a long day." First Lord Liao said

 As everyone started packing up to leave, Victor slid a note over to Coordinator Kurita, it read "Now". Coordinator Kurita nodded to one of his aides who handed a note to one of Thomas Marik's aides.

  Captain General Thomas Marik arrived at the estate Coordinator Kurita was staying at during the High Council Meeting. He had been surprised when his aide gave him the note, all it read was:

 Thomas,

 I think we need to talk, my estate at 8pm. If you would please.

 Theodore

 As he approached the front door, it opened as if by magic and there stood Theodore Kurita. "Thank you for coming Thomas, I thought it was time we discussed a few issues that might concern us both, but might not want out in the open so to speak. Please, come inside, welcome to my home."

 "Thank you for the invite Theodore. Very lovely house." Thomas said

 "Thank you, we have had some difficylty restoring it to it's former glory after all these centuries of being vacant, but I find it quite comfortable. Please, this way to my private study, have a seat. Get you anything to drink?" Theodore asked

 "Some water would be very nice." Thomas replied, when Theodore had passed over the glass of ice water and sat down opposite him he asked "So, what shall we discuss Theodore?"

 "Several things actually, first, my intelligence service is hearing some distressing things about possible loyalty issues within the FWLM, including your warship fleet. That concerns me, concerns a lot of people. Care to comment on the rumors?" Theodore asked

 "I am in full control of all of my military units and assets Theodore, of that I am sure." Thomas replied, I have no clue who I can trust, SAFE is useless, was all he could think though.

 Lie number one, Theodore thought, you need to come clean Thomas, we might be able to head this off somehow. "I do hope you are sure of this Thomas, loose warships is not something anyone wants. The second item is a bit more personal and a rather touchy subject, please bear with me. One of my operatives on New Avalon long ago managed to get access to samples of Joshua's blood, we were looking for something to discredit Victor with is we needed to, like maybe Joshua was cured and actually a hostage. My agent did not just take Joshua's sample, but also samples of yours, his mother and Isis's samples.

 Now, by the time we actually had the samples in our possession, Joshua had passed away, so I ordered the operation terminated. But seems scientists like to poke things, so they decided to use the samples for running new DNA sequencing techniques. Some of the results came back with surprising results, do you know what they showed?" Theodore explained, carefully watching Thomas for a reaction. He thought he saw a small twitch bit was not sure.

 "I have no idea Theodore, but I am sure your going to tell me." Thomas said, I knew this day would come, this is where everything begins to fall apart.

 "Well, it seems that Joshua matches you perfectly, to be expected of course. But it seems that Joshua does not match Isis. They then compared Isis to your samples, they did not match either. They dug thru many samples collected over the years, we had your father Janos Marik's sample, so we compared Isis to Janos, and they found markers, they then compared you to Janos. Nothing. No match at all. So Thomas, care to fill in the blanks for me?" Theodore said, again watching carefully for any reaction.

 "Maybe the samples were contaminated, I am not a scientist." Thomas said, Damn, he knows.

 "Really? That is the answer your going to go with? Look Thomas, or whoever you are, I need to know who I am dealing with. Right now I have no clue, you love the Free Worlds League, that is shown by your actions, but right now, I am not comfortable with not knowing. I am going to bring in my other guests now, neither of them are comfortable with this situation." Theodore said

 Thomas turned to the door as it opened up, Archon Prince Victor Steiner Davion and Kia Allard Liao entered the room and closed the door. Both went to seats and sat down. Theodore spoke first "He denies everything."

 Victor shook his head, "Thomas, I am going to call you that since none of us is sure who you really are, but we are sure you are NOT Thomas Marik. Now is the time to tell us what is going on. All 3 of our Intelligence services know SAFE is so penetrated by WoB ROM that they might as well be a regular section of ROM. All also agree that loyalty of the FWLM is shaky at best. We know you lost 5 Regiments not long ago that just "vanished". So far, you have done nothing to really threaten any of us nor have you really rocked the Star League boat too bad. Talk to us."

 Thomas was being backed into a corner, if he told the truth, neither he nor his family would live much longer. But if I keep denying this fully, they are going to inform the High Council or go public and I am done for. Maybe I can control this somehow. "My name is Thomas, my real name. I do not remember my last name. The real Thomas Marik is alive but horribly disfigured. Comstar inserted me long ago to be the face man so to speak. The real Thomas Marik runs the Word of Blake from the shadows. He gets me messages when he needs me to do something. Please, my family will die if any of this gets out."

 "The truth is better than lying to us Thomas. Now tell us about the FWLM. How bad is it?" Victor said

 "I am sure both Regiments of the Knights of the Inner Sphere are loyal, also the 1st and 2nd Free Worlds Guards. Other than that, I have no clue what units are still loyal to me. Not even my warships. The WoB is into everything. Ever since Terra was retaken, the WoB pulled back many of their operatives in other nations and they have been hard at work in the Free World League." Thomas answered truthfully

 Shit, it is worse than any of us suspected, went thru Victor's mind. "How big of a force is the actual Word of Blake military Thomas?"

 "I only know of the public units, same as you. But, if the FWLM expects say 100 of something, only about 75% of it ever arrives, it is recorded as order complete but a hands on count will show the missing equipment. I suspect that missing 25% goes to the WoB. That is a massive amount of equipment. When you basically quit buying our refit kits, I had the FWLM buy them and start upgrading our equipment. Even 25-30% of the refit kits went missing. It had been going on for years now." Thomas said

 "Okay, thank you for coming clean with us. What about the Magistracy of Canopus and Taurian Concordat? How penetrated are they?" Kai Allard Liao asked

 "Before Grover Shraplen, the Taurian Concordat was not heavily penetrated, but now? I suspect they are fully penetrated by ROM. The Magistracy of Canopus, not as bad, but they are penetrated to some degree. The Circinus Federation is completely penetrated. McIntyre is a WoB stooge, worse than I ever was. If any of this gets out, my family, my real family is dead and so am I." Thomas said

 "Work with us, and we will do what we can to keep your family safe. Now, tomorrow, attend the High Council Meeting as though nothing has changed, one of us will be nominating Clan Nova Cat to full membership. I am telling you this now. In recognition of their selfless serve during the ongoing operation against Clan Smoke Jaguar. I expect the usual resistance from you, but we need this to happen Thomas. Too much is at stake right now for it to not happen." Victor said

 "I understand." Thomas said "I must get back, I know ROM watches."

 The SLDF 4th Battle Squadron arrived in system and quickly destroyed 3 Jaguar Jumpships and captured 4 Jaguar Jumpships. The systems recharge stations took 2 days too declare secure. The invading 143rd SLDF Division and 323rd SLDF Division were supported by the 1st Wolf Strike Grenadiers. Star Colonel Hampton Schroeder, commander of the 1st Wolf Strike Grenadiers issued his Batchall for the planet in the name of the Star League. Galaxy Commander Elyssia Furey, Nu Galaxy commander, accepted the Batchall. Her Nu Galaxy Command Trinary, 4th Jaguar Regulars and 12 Jaguar Regulars would meet the Star League on Mitsuhama Ridge.

 After making their landing, the 143rd SLDF Division engaged the 12 Jaguar Regulars, the 323rd SLDF Division engaged the 4th Jaguar Regulars and 1st Wolf Strike Grenadiers engaged the Nu Galaxy Command Trinary. The 143rd SLDF Division successfully pushed the 12th Jaguar Regulars off the ridge and begun assisting the 323rd Division in pushing the 4th Jaguar Regulars off the ridge when Galaxy Commander Elyssia Furey declared defeat and surrendered her remaining forces to the Star League. The battle lasted 8 hours.

 The 1st Battle Squadron of the AFFC 3rd Fleet jumped into the system and quickly secured the system. The 250th SLDF Division and 4th Wolf Guards Assault Cluster arrived shortly after. Khan Phelan Kell issued his batchall for the system in the name of the Star League. The 143rd Garrison Cluster refused to answer.

 Landing, the combined SLDF and Caln WiE forces overwhelmed the defending 143rd Garrison Cluster leaving few of the defending Cluster alive.

 The 1st AFFC Carrier Squadron of the AFFC 3rd Fleet had no difficulty in securing the system and called in the ground forces. The 3rd Donegal Guards RCT, St. Ives Cheveau Legers, 1st Davion Guards RCT and 5th Sword of Light jumped into the system and began their burn for the planet.

 Landing on 29 June 3063, the combined forces overwhelmed the 124th Garrison Cluster and basically wiped it out over 4 days of fighting. Minimal losses were suffered by the Star League forces.

 Galaxy Commander Devon Osis was having a very bad week, the arrival of the 3rd SLDF RCT really made things bad for his forces. He had been pushed out of Landing Zone and his remaining forces were low on food, water and ammunition. Repeated and constant Aerospace attacks had seriously hurt his command. He had no choice, he finally answered the constant calls from the commander of the 3rd SLDF RCT that asked for his surrender.

 Khan Lincoln Osis was furious,  he had lost contact with Tau Galaxy and his invasion force on Hartshill. He still had the CSJ Dark Cat, Sovetskii Soyuz, CSJ Hunter's Pride, Congress, CSJ Osis' Pride, Potemkin and CSJ Queen Lynx, York in orbit. He was contemplating a orbital strike on these cursed defenders when word arrived from orbit that enemy warships had entered the system.

 Admiral Kristoff Farfalken led his 5th SLDF Battle Squadron and the DCMS Strike Force into the Gravenhage system. Once he was sure everyone had made the jump, he gave the order to head in system. His force consisted of:

 When the two Fleets clashed it was one of devastation. But the Star League forces had more ships and Aerospace Fighters. CSJ Hunter's Pride was the first ship to taken out of the fight, left a drifting shell of it's former self, but it destroyed the DCS Night of Agony before it was removed from the fight. CSJ Osis' Pride was boarded and captured by the large marine detail from the SLS Manchester. CSJ Dark Cat and SLS Star League hammered each other until the CSJ Dark Cat surrendered after several DCMS frigates entered the fight also. CSJ Queen Lynx was seriously damaged trying to fight off 2 DCMS cruisers and 2 DCMS corvettes and finally surrendered.

 With the space around Gravenhage secured, Admiral Kristoff Farfalken called in the awaiting relief forces. The 2nd Night Stalkers, 3rd Night Stalkers, 1st Ghost, 6th Ghost and Davion Heavy Guards RCT came in at a pirate point 2 days from the planet. The reinforcements landed on 1 July 3063. Over 6 days of heavy fighting, Khan Lincoln Osis was killed in action and Star Colonel Ti Freelander, the ranking surviving Jaguar officer surrendered the remaining Jaguar forces to the Star League. Losses to the Star League commands had been heavy with all commands suffering 20-30% casualties.

  The High Council Meeting was called into order right at 9am by First Lord Candace Liao. "This High Council Meeting is now in session. Before we begin our scheduled briefings, is there any business we need to conduct?"

 "First Lord, I would like to put forth the motion for Clan Nova Cat be granted full membership in the Star League and High Council. I know it is in very short time frame since being granted observer status, but I consulted with Commanding General Cocus last night and Clan Nova Cat has returned 6 worlds to Draconis Combine authority during the recent offensive. Their selfless actions warrant a reward." Kai Allard Liao said

 "A motion to grant Clan Nova Cat full membership has been proposed, is there a second?" First Lord Liao asked

 "I will gladly second that motion." Coordinator Theodore Kurita said

 "And I will make it a third." Archon Prince Victor Steiner Davion announced

 "The motion has been seconded and even given a third, is there any objections to moving to a vote?" First Lord Liao asked

 "I feel it is too soon First Lord, though Clan Nova Cat has proven dependable in battle, how do we know they are ready to join the Star League on a more civilian nature?" Captain General Thomas Marik asked

 "Clan Nova Cat merchants have been plying the space along my border for several years now. We have found them honest in their dealings. Their civilians in the Dominions have seen a marked increase in their overall lifestyle and health since they took over. They have assisted my Outer March in upgrading hospitals and clinics, along with assisting in providing food and aid to the ever growing colonies there until they can fully provide for themselves." Archon Prince Victor Davion countered

 When no one else said anything for several minutes, First Lord Candace Liao spoke "If there are no other objections, let us vote on the motion to admit Clan Nova Cat as full members with voting rights?"

  The question is will this provide enough leverage to institute a culture shift?
It sounds like the expulsion of the jade Falcons almost caused a meltdown.
  Cloud Cobras, Ravens, Sharks, and Scorpions will be looking to exit as a organization, or be stuck fleeing as refugees.
   Ironic if the New star league is asked into clan home world as peace keepers.

Luzerne

 The SLDF's 4th Battle Squadron leaped into Luzerne and quickly captured or destroyed 5 Jaguar Jumphips. The ground forces came in barely 4 hours later. The dropships began burning for the planet under escort from 2 SLDF Suffern Destroyers.

 On 22 May, the 208th SLDF Division, 3rd Davion Guards RCT and Ryuken-roku began making their landings on the Jeremiah Highlands. The 6th Striker Cluster, 4th Garrison and Kappa Galaxy Command Trinary slammed into the 208th SLDF Division with like a tornado. Within 2 hours of fighting they had broken the 208th's lines. The Ryuken-roku swung around on the Jaguar left flank and lost a Battalion in less than an hour. The 3rd Davion Guards RCT hit the Jaguar's right flank and managed to halt the penetration of the 208th's lines long enough for the 208th to reform a decent defensive line. Only massive artillery fire managed to beat back the Jaguar attack. General Gravely Zane of the 20th was in overall command of the invasion forces and ordered everyone into strong defensive lines while he called for reinforcements.
