Back in 2003 - 2004 ish a group of board members got together to write one of the longest running, complex RPs attempted on these forums (Well, we thought so at the time)
Much of what was posted was lost in one of the great crashes of old legend. However, some posts survived and were collected. Attached here is the start of the McNeil's Legion (MNL) RP - Galatea to Landfall.
Please note, this is posted unedited and there could be dozens of spelling and grammatical errors throughout.

Wow guys, this really IS a blast from the past. I stepped away from BattleTech for a bit when other priorities in life took over and the board wipe pretty much relegated me to lurker status. I've popped in from time to time but never quite got around to being as active as I used to be.
This was THE thread to get me posting again.. such a fitting re-first post! *wipes a tear from his eye*

Get one going! THe Battle Corps one ran for a good while, but the number of people involved meant it was hard for anyone to get anything done. Keep to company sized, or battalion with each player a company, I think - you should have less inertia.

Ahhhh, when I was such a tender young fiction writer.
Thanks for posting these, Malich. Great walk down memory lane - especially since through this RP I made some great friendships that still last today.
I'm contemplating running something on here once my workload eases at the end of this month. Let's definitely keep in touch.

Oh, see, you guys start talking about doing something like this again, and I start getting all sentimental about it.
Should the Legion rise again (or something of a similar quality) I'd be more than happy to jump in and play/help.

Not sure i'd like to rebuild the legion... but that's the kind of depth of character / detail i crave.

@Grognard - Yeah, 24 years for me.
I'm going to consider something in the new year potentially, depends if i can come up with a few ideas for what and when.
