Skylos heavy quad

I'm not a fan of quads, but given the recent designs posted here, I thought I'd dabble in them again. This started as a Lyran design, since they're the House that predominantly field quads, but after starting on the fluff I decided that seemed a little trite, so I thought about assigning it to another House. My choice of Advanced armor, a predominantly Free Worlds technology, pointed the way, and then the write-up of the Kopis sealed the deal: the Jihad cost the Free Worlds much of their traditional battle armor manufacturing, which forced them to approach StarCorps to finish the Kopis, so it seemed reasonable that they would accept a design proposal coming the other way, even one that doesn't completely match their tastes. The speed of the Skylos design also gives them a fast, heavily armored battle armor design lacking in their current lineup, allowing them to compete with the LAAF's Rottweiler, for example.

As per TRO: Proto, the Mechanical Jump Booster is rated as Advanced technology by 3084, prior to the introduction date of the Skylos.

Note: I've modified the HMBA outputs to adjust the movement to account for the Mechanical Jump Booster, which in turn modifies BV. Hopefully the modified C-Bill and BV costs should be correct, as should the basic stats. As per normal with HMBA, the BV value is BV1, not BV2.

==Overview:==
     StarCorps' Industries Skylos heavy quad has a checkered past
that almost stopped it from ever reaching active service. Buoyed
with the success of the Kopis assault suit, StarCorps decided that
they wanted to expand their battle armor portfolio by building a
quad design. Using their tried and true method of recruiting the
required expertise, the company headhunted engineers from TharHes
to help complete the project, much to the chagrin of the Lyran
corporation.

     By 3080, StarCorps had a fully working design to offer the
LAAF, the premier user of quad battle armor in the Inner Sphere,
but their sales pitches stalled within the Quartermaster Corps.
Suspecting that TharHes interference had soured the Lyran market
for the Skylos, StarCorps looked for another potential buyer,
finding a likely candidate with the Free Worlds.

     Already the prime customer for the Kopis, the Free Worlds
military were at first leery at what they saw as a purely foreign
design, and a Lyran one at that. Having established good
relationships with the Free Worlds during development of the
Kopis, StarCorps engineers were able to work with them to produce
a version better suiting FWLM requirements, making the Skylos
faster and more heavily armored, albeit no longer stealthy.
Problems implementing the cutting edge technology built into the
design created further delays and it was not until 3085 that the
first production quads walked out of the factory on Emris IV.

==Capabilities:==
     Massing a ton and a half, the Skylos is deceptively swift for
its size, matching the speed of the lighter Rottweiler with the
added ability of being able to jump up to 30 meters thanks to its
mechanical jump boosters, a technology that only finally entered
production itself just a few months before the Skylos.

     Using the same armor plate as is used on the Kopis, that is
also produced at their Emris IV facility, StarCorps reduced their
manufacuring costs while increasing protection, so that the Skylos
is the most heavily armored battle armor in Free World service.

     The armament of is currently built around a medium recoilless
rifle, a hard-hitting weapon which is well respected for its
dual-role capability. The standard model backs up this firepower
with a longer ranged David light gauss rifle, that is replaced by
a standard machine gun in the anti-infantry configuration, while
the Kylos Recon mounts improved sensors with an integrated TAG.

     Hoping to capitalize on the Word of Blake's introduction of
the Magshot to the Free Worlds with the Phalanx C, StarCorps have
suggested an armament comprised of a Magshot with coaxial heavy
machine gun or flamer. Closer to acceptance by the FWLM is an
upgrade to the Skylos Anti-Infantry, that would see the secondary
armament replaced by a pair of Firedrake incendiary needlers.
Development has also continued on the Skylos Recon, reducing
offensive capabilites to enhance scouting performance with a full
active probe array, leaving only enough mass for a Firedrake.
