Tried to get as close as I could to the Xenopedia's commentary on the thing; just no way to make it double energy weapons without going clan for chemical lasers or huge/fusion for regular lasers.  Why 15 tons?  Well, it does need to fit in the UD-4L Cheyenne...

I think the lightest you could go for dual energy weapons with inner sphere tech would be 2 small lasers and 1 laser insulator (you already have the one free HS to cover the other point of heat), for 1.5 tons total.

How much space does this thing have? Is endosteel an option? A combination of endosteel and slight reduction in armor could get that weight, if you have the space for it. Ferrofiber might even help make up the armor... again depending on space available. I know light vehicles like that can get tight on space pretty quick.

I'm not honestly sure, and two small lasers is basically a joke.  As it is, Magshots work for stats...now if only that damn MM/1 wasn't so heavy.  Though I like being able to suppress targets at 21 hexes...

The problem with adapting vehicles from pretty much anywhere to BT is that BT components are typically so mass-bloated that close approximations are often grossly overweight.

That is why my version of the Udie uses a full-size light vehicle bay capable of carrying a vehicle of up to 50 tons.  [brew]

As an aside... I do not see the total tonnage on the entry.  :-\
