Overview:
The Kingfisher II, also known as the Caged Bear, is a rather recent assault
design forming up gaps in omnimech-focused Ghost Bear Dominion and Clan Hell's
Horse forces. While initial research finds that there's not many reasons this
may have occured, it is believed that somewhere down the line, a Trial occured
that resulted in the designs getting shared.
Either way, the Kingfisher II's reputation is very similar to that of its
inspiration, the original Kingfisher, but with added durability. Capable of
mounting a few extra precious tons of weaponry, the so-called "Caged Bear"
proves itself to be a formidable and hard-to-kill foe.
Notable 'Mechs & MechWarriors:
The Slayer of Bergundale; The so-called Slayer of Bergundale, an undidentified
Pirate in House Kurita territory, pilots a Caged Bear with a unique
anti-infantry weapon set. Currently, he or she is among the most wanted
criminals in Draconis Combine territory, as the decimation of several dozen
infantry platoons and police forces are linked to this battlemech. Said Mech is
identified by an emblem reminescent of a crudely drawn crucified cartoon dragon
on the front of the machine.
