 What is/are your favorite medium suit(s)? Why? Feel free to distinguish between your favorite, those you like using and those you may believe to be ultimately better. This is the single most prolific category by a good bit for suits, so I am allowing 2 votes.

Void mag shot variant.  Decent stealth general purpose suit.

This was a tough one. Specifically the second one, because the first vote was of course the Elemental and its various incarnations, still the absolute gold standard for medium suits. But the second vote took some thought. I think I'd have to go with the Salamander -- between the classic heatslinger and the monstrous beast the AI variant is when using swarm attacks, it just edges out the other contenders (the Buraq, Amazon and Purifier).

Elemental, no question, has to be the first selection. It set the standard.

For me, the second had to be thr closest the Inner Sphere ever got to that standard, the Longinus.

I also like the Grey Death suits.

Aside from the obvious choice of the Elemental, I chose the Infiltrator Mk II (Puma) for being the first attempt by an Inner Sphere faction to make a suit that was trying to be more than an Elemental knock-off (not counting the Sloth or the Mk I here since those were really prototypes).

 I am very glad that I added the second vote to this poll. Three might have been better yet. We have a clear first place and a fair second so far. I do not know if it is possible to make a good poll on medium armors as a whole. Perhaps it would be better in a future poll concerning this weight class to ask what suits people like and/or like using and allow unlimited votes. Asking what designs people dislike and why can yield good information, but it can also get a bit negative and even nasty.

Elemental was an easy choice. I also love Salamander BA as they have fire resistant armor. Meaning I can camp them out in woods without becoming marshmallows.

Given the small # of Clan Suits v/s IS flavors its not really a good poll IMHO.

Far too easy to split the votes just based on factional fans there, or by "power" v/s actual "favorite flavor"

I'm surprised by how well the Infiltrator Mk II is doing, given that it's both faction-specific and highly specialized.  The Elemental, well, there was no chance that it wouldn't win.  It's the original BA, it's the most versatile, and it really lacks any major flaws.

It's the fact that while it is "specialized" it really is a well balanced/optimized suit for being so specialized.
The Mag-Clamp version in particular is one of the best models you can get, IMHO.

Pretty much what Hellraiser said.

The Infiltrator II is in many ways better at being a general purpose medium suit than most IS medium suits. Certainly when it was released it was noticeably better than the IS Standard and made an interesting comparison with the Longinus.

I have a pet theory that the reason that House Davion never bothered making a proper replacement for the Cavalier was that they already had the Infiltrator II in production.

I went with what I play (IS) otherwise I would have voted Elemental for being the gold standard of Medium BA. I have played the IS Std the most so it go my first vote, followed by the Amazon for being IS standard done right.

I think that in the near future that it is important to the Capellans that it not be so.
