Lore: Developed by a Sirus Corporation in 3047, the Kilo took the concept of the Wolfhound and scaled it up to 40 tons. Utilizing then relatively new experimental X-pulse laser technology(which the models used were originally developed in-house within the Lyran branch of the company). the idea was to give pulse laser like accuracy within standard laser ranges, which development started in 3038 and would not see fruition until 3047 when the first test batches started appearing in corporate security and were originally thought of as nothing but recovered lostech weapons at first, Until some pirates decided to attack a base on the periphery with a company of these stationed there. While they put up a good fight, they ultimately fell to what would later be known as the clans. More and more of these begun to appear after the clan hit full swing with some allegedly playing a small role in places like Luthien and Tukkayidd but neither ComStar, the Word of Blake nor the DCMS would confirm or deny the presence of such machines. However there was drawback of increased heat load from the X-pulse lasers at the time on top of high production costs initially. Would eventually become a limited production battlemech by the 3060s to 3070s but would then go on to be mass produced by 3145.
