Handbook: House Liao - The Capellan Republic founding date

I was wondering if it was possible to confirm the founding date of the Capellan Republic? House Liao (The Capellan Confederation) states on page 12 that Justin Aris stole aboard a JumpShip in January 2192, subsequently hijacked the ship and then vanished, before being discovered "three years later" when explorers from the Sarna Supremacy located him and his Capellan Holdfast, his single world state on Capella. That would put the discovery of the Holdfast by the Sarns in 2195, and page 12 further states that it was after this discovery that Aris reinvented the Holdfast as the Capellan Republic.

However, that's contradicted by Handbook: House Liao, which states on page 12 in the section entitled Timeline: Capellan Zone that Aris founded the Capellan Republic in 2194. I'm not sure if that means that the three years mentioned in the earlier House Liao (The Capellan Confederation) actually means "two and a bit years", or if the 2194 date in Handbook: House Liao is perhaps an error.

On a seperate but related note, if events are mentioned in House Liao (The Capellan Confederation)  but not in the timeline or text of Handbook: House Liao, but those events do not contradict anything in the later text - like the 2336-2338 war between the Terran Hegemony and the Tikonov Grand Union over the Chisholm Province - is it safe to assume those events still exist in canon, but weren't considered significant enough to make it into the more recent text?
