With the hall of fame game completed time to resurrect this thread with some predictions.
AFC:
East: Even if Darth Bill has decided to burn it all down I don't see anyone other than New England claiming this division.
South: Titans look the most solid but this one I'm prepared to be wrong on.
West: Kansas City. Only Oakland looks like they could challenge.
North: Steelers.
Wild cards: Oakland, Cincinnati
NFC:
East: Dallas. I expect Philly to fall off hard, the Giants are dysfunctional, and Washington is not only dysfunctional but I wonder if there is something in their water.
South: Tampa Bay. Cam will whine too hard for Carolina to focus and everyone else looks to be questionable at best.
West: Pains me to say this but San Fransisco. I don't think Seattle's improved their O-line enough and as much as I maintain Sherman has been succeeding more by reputation than ability for a while now that reputation is working for someone else now. Arizona is in rebuild mode and the Rams will certainly make it a good show this year but I expect them to fall just short.
North: Green Bay mostly because someone has to.
Wildcards: Rams, Vikings
Super Bowl: Steelers over the 49ers in what should be an overall good but ultimately dissappointing game.
Well I'm still convinced Bellicheck is playing a subtle game of "I want Brady gone but Kraft won't let me" but the AFC East is going to remain a gimmie for the Patriots until someone cracks their code.
AFC South I knew was going to be very difficult for me to predict but I'll admit I didn't see either the Colts or Texans being this good.
I knew KC was going to be good but dang did I whiff on Oakland.
The AFC North was the Steelers to lose this year. So of course they did.
Okay NFC East was easy to see coming for the most part. I'm not sure what makes Foles work so much better for the Eagles than Wentz but I could see Dallas coming even before the Cooper trade.
NFC South I just plain whiffed on.
NFC West I really though the distractions of LA would have kept the Rams more of a mess than they turned out to be and losing Jimmy G so early certainly curtailed San Fransisco's hopes and exposed a lot of other holes they still need to fill.
NFC North I can pretty squarely put my being wrong on the Mack trade.
