I'll raise you a Clan Jade Wolf  :D

As a fan of the Refusal War, I second this ;D

Not a state per se, but the Word of Blake were a independent force from 3050 to 3085.

C* and the WoB are both mentioned in the OP.

Did the Jade Wolves last long enough to get repainted? Or would it be enough to take a classic Wolf scheme, like Beta's brown and grey, and add some jade trim?

And yes, I have C*/WoB/RotS as a single "entity" in my grand plan ;)

Hyper technicality is that the Post-Refusal War Crusader Wolves are the Jade Wolves, they just dropped the Jade part.

Everyone just likes the idea of the Wolves with more Jade Falcon trimmings. It's like Peanut Butter and Chocolate, it goes together better than it should;

You want flash in the pan? Go for the Free Star Republic! :D

They existed long enough for Defiance Industries to design and build a battlemech for them.  But if they had MegaMekLab or Solaris Skunk Werks to design the thing quickly, I guess the Free Star Republic truly was a flash in a pan!

If painting equipment in the 31st century is anything like painting stuff now, I doubt anything was re-painted.  So you could re-use your existing touman units!

Cool detail on the original cover of Malicious Intent, you can clearly see the Jade Falcon emblem is painted over the old Clan Wolf emblem.

They're from one of the GDL novels, Operation Excalibur. An attempt to carve a new nation out of Hesperus and a few surrounding systems. It lasted roughly a week.

Bannson's Raiders held a number of worlds for a couple of years from 3133-3135. So there you have a short-lived corporate state

They're from one of the GDL novels, Operation Excalibur. An attempt to carve a new nation out of Hesperus and a few surrounding systems. It lasted roughly a week.

That’s the Free Star Republic referenced upthread.  They were publicly active for a month, but they had dropships painted in their own colors at the outset, which indicates that preparations were underway for some time prior.  That prep might have allowed for a mech paint scheme, but I dunno if it’s referenced in the relevant novel or the associated GDL scenario pack.  Certainly not on Camospecs.

As already mentioned, they were the first users of the Defiance battlemech, giving their forces a little uniqueness.

I would say the United Hindu Collective, but I didn't see a canon paint scheme for their Battlemech/Aerospace regiment.

I second this suggestion—any Pentagon Power during Operation KLONDIKE. These powers would fit the Succession War era of your grand plan, quiaff?

My biggest disappointment with the Operation Klondike book was the lack of fluff about the warring nation-states.  The most we got was a sentence or two, with next to nothing about their color schemes or social beliefs (ie, how did the Levic Ascendancy succeed, what were these brutal techno-barbarian wars like, did any of these proto-states have any lasting effects on Clan space, etc).  The Camospecs examples were cool, but ultimately not enough.

Anyone got colour schemes for the Lothian League or Illyrian Palatinate?

I vaguely remember something yellow for the Illyrians, but am drawing a complete blank on the Lothians, unfortunately.

You couldn’t go wrong with arctic camo, since all Lothian worlds are essentially Hoth.
"We have made of New Avalon a towering funeral pyre and wiped the Davion scourge from the universe.  Tikonov, Chesterton and Andurien are ours once more, and the cheers of the Capellan people nearly drown out the gnashing of our foes' teeth as they throw down their weapons in despair.  Now I am made First Lord of the Star League, and all shall bow down to me and pay homa...oooooo! Shiny thing!" - Maximillian Liao, "My Triumph", audio dictation, 3030.  Unpublished.

Hmmm ... USDCWT snow, temperate plains, might be doable. Arctic MERDC came out ... too well; the mini didn't look good.

I did splinter for my FRR battalion. it came out OK, but ... drove me mad. Trying to get all those sharp edges ... gah.

Pity there's no other way to canonise a scheme than to become a CSO artist, which I know I'll never do.

(And no, I try to ignore the UCC; it's a great fan work, just like a fan TRO, but I'll stick to my own knitting ;) )

After I didn't see them in the faction listing, I used Camospecs' search. (On my smartphone if that makes a difference. )
