What year is the 944 Mopar? Odds are it willbe something small but horribly expensive to fix.

It's a 1987 Turbo.  My son bought it and then couldn't afford to keep it so I ended up with it.

Well I'll give some updates:

My 99 W2500 Quad Cab Cummins Turbo Diesel just hit 200,000 miles.

I've got the 93 360 MPI engine running in my 1975 Trailduster.  Need to replace the transmission dipstick tube O ring and decide how I want to make the front axle part time.

The 1971 Challenger R/T is coming along slowly.  The undercoating has been applied.  We currently struggling to get the vinyl top on because it's just to cold.  Finished painting the dash frame so need to put that back together.  The transmission and sure grip unit should be back in about two weeks.

On a sad note my Porsche 944 Turbo has decided it doesn't want to start - haven't figured out why.
NP203 on the trailduster? Nice case but yea... Had an 84 K2500 with it. 6 MPG was doing good. I looked into kits to convert it (just putting on P/T hubs makes it do bad things) but sold the truck before I got too far.
Strong as heck though.

Nope.

I converted the whole thing.  360 MPI, 4 speed 518 with lock up torque converter and the NV-241 transfer case.

I'll probably take the axles from my 1972 W200 to use under it.  That's been converted to GM disk brakes.   O0

Ohhh, nice! I like old iron with new tech. I always wanted an older car (mmm, Duster) with a a fuel injected LA block. Never happen, but it's good to dream.

Updates from me!

Nothing really new.  The GTO is about 38,500 on miles, and tried to kill itself with a stuck thermostat which blew a small hole in the radiator.  It also got a new ignition.  All this happened over the summer.

Max speed I've driven at this point is still 142 MPH.

Well to make it all work I had to change over a lot of stuff as Mother Mopar changed a lot of things in 18 years.

Gas tank
fuel lines
wiring harness
heater assembly
dash assembly
steering column
brake booster
wiper motor
radiator
engine
trans
transfer case

and it all looks like it's supposed to be in there

I hope you'll post some pics sometimes! Of all the Big 3, I've never owned a Mopar 4x4. I had a sweet 77 D200 that was sea foam green with a 360, but she was only a two-by. A freind of mine had a 93 Ramcharger in High School, and boy was that sweet.

Pops had a '79 Dogde 200 Prospector Longbed 2WD that between him and Uncle Eddie had 600,000 miles on it before it met it's fate outside of Olympia, WA.

here's the motor going into the trailduster.  The rear transmission mount was the biggest challenge

With my current job I've been driving the new Fusions and Taurus around and I have to say, they are pretty damn nice.

Before, the only time "nice" and "Taurus" were in the same sentence was "Sure is nice to get out of this Taurus."  Now, they are something I'd be willing to pay money for.  Not that I have that money, but I'd be willing to pay it if I had it.

I drove a lot of Fords from Hertz.  The old Taurus was total crap.  The Fusion and the Mustang were both a pleasure to drive.  I got 34 MPG with the Fusion.   O0

I liked the first gen Taurus in the LX model. The rolling turd (95-whatever) Taurus though was garbage.

I got a TRUCK for Christmas!

2007 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab.
swiped this picture from the dealer's website.

already started a list of upgrades I'd like.
straighten out the exhaust system: I want dual headers to dual straight pipes.
add more light: quad set of fog lights in the grill

The Intrepid I had just started falling to pieces.  I wanted to wait til February, but the car wouldn't make it.

Well they are the least ugly.  However I wish they still had a quad cab (small suicide doors)

Right now, I actually like the look of all three brands of trucks. This hasn't happened in a long, long time. The Toyota and Nissan, however, are still pretty bad looking. :/

The Big 3 trucks don't look bad, but the new Rams drive so much better than the Silverados or F-150s.

Haven't dealt with Toyota and Nissan in a while, and that is just fine by me.

Had a Tundra as a loaner when my Yaris had an airbag ring failure.  Not bad, but frikken huge (compared to the Yaris)

Well, yeah.  The Yaris is designed to go in the bed of a Tundra.

I had an odd one.  The other day I'm at a stop light and it felt I had been just slightly rear ended in my truck.  The guy behind isn't close enough.  Look at the dash and the check engine light is on.  Check everything in the engine compartment and nothing.  So I make an appointment with the dealer.

Truck sits for two days.  Start it up and the light is mow off.  The dealer wants $105 to check if there are any code so I so no thanks.

Couple of days later the light comes on again but this time I see the tach has gone dead.  Then it came back alive and the truck sped up by itself.  So I'm thinking that the ECM is putting it into some kind of "limp" mode.  Very scary.

However I know what's wrong.  The Crank Position Sensor is going wonky.

$64 and an hour of my time and hopefully it's fixed.   O0
