I first saw him in Iron Eagle II and I liked him right away. It's such a shame he's gone.

Another cultural touchstone of my childhood ripped away.  RIP.

It's interesting how you tend to remember certain actors the way they were, and don't really think about how long it's been since you first saw them in that impression-making role(s), until they DO pass, and you're like "What?  He/she was only X years"--or better, "He/she was actually X years now?  Had no idea..."

 :cry: Well I just read about this yesterday what a bummer. RIP SIR!!! The first time I watch him was in ROOTS . I saw him at Comic Con in Novi Michigan and got autograph , I pick the SG1 Gerak pic. I really wanted the Pic of him the movie (Don't Look Back: The Story of Leroy 'Satchel' Paige) I love him in that movie. I love Baseball .
