Title: Record Sheet Comparison 2.0 (Now Including RS: Clan Invasion)
Post by: Sartris on 02 April 2020, 01:28:51
In my so you bought the box set thread I have a comparison google sheet that walks you through how the companion record sheet book to TRO: Succession Wars compares to and overlaps with the various constituent books that it draws from. with the release of RS: Clan Invasion, I've incorporated that pdf. You can see what SW and CI take for their own contents as well as variants left exclusive to those books - including orphaned mechs that currently do not have an era TRO.

the primary purpose is to allow people (especially newish people) to see what you get in each record sheet pdf that supports the new TROs. Mechs featured in TRO: Jihad are currently found in the No TRO sections, but are marked to show which units might potentially end up in a possible RS: Jihad pdf.

The big thing I was reminded of while doing this is the sheer number of Marauder and Warhammer variants. Please, make it stop.

I'm getting some numbers not adding up, the MUL says that there are over 3,000 BM's with a BV, now this will include Omni bases and unique 'Mechs but even so the number's probably still above 3,000 or if not close to it. The problem is that that number, 3,000 doesn't seem to line up with how many 'Mechs are in your spreedshset, there's less 1,000 covered by the new RS, and I can't do the numbers easily on how many aren't covered but it doesn't look like enough to add up, so where could these extra 'Mechs be?

It’s meant to compare what you get in the new era tro record sheets vs the individual ones so it doesn’t take into account sources that don’t have mechs in TROs Succession Wars or Clan Invasion. Those RS books only furnish around 750-800 sheets because they don’t provide every variant for each unit - there are a number of Omni configs absent and a lot of the project Phoenix variants (around half) aren’t included.

I’d have to double check but I think certain equipment was avoided as well - iHLs, machine gun arrays, and UMUs to name a few I was noticing. They’re not designed to be comprehensive.

There are indeed over 3000 mechs with BV. After TRO: Jihad gets an RS pdf, a little under half will be covered by the trio of new TROs. That’s plenty to get people started

Where the TRO: 3145 related stuff? The XTROs?  XTRO: Republic, XTRO: Primitives are main stream stuff.

They’re not in TRO Succession Wars or Clan Invasion

XTRO: Primitives are main stream stuff.
This is just so absurd to read.

Sorry i was using phone when wrote that. I meant to say that XTRO Primitives sub-series had mechs/other units that weren't one-offs or unique like most of the XTRO entries a have been with perhaps exception of the entries XTRO Republic books.  I was mistakenly posted here thinking  the thread about all Record Sheets.
