So how long till the next classic is released? I know some are on hold, but the non-mcross will be in plastic soon enough, will any of those be in metal before the box releases??

I remember that was several times mentioned that there will be no IWM releases of minis that will be in new boxes before box release.

Maybe they should do a primitives lance pack instead. CGL would likely not hold back that.

the original statement was in the 2016 gencon thread and i don't recall anything from tptb that indicates they've changed their policy

(For reference everyone, if you see the sculptors and artists talking about a sculpt, it means it is probably being worked on)

I got an email from Michael (el Presidente) about 4 weeks ago:

Quote from: Michael "el Presidente" Noe
IWM will be shipping its 4th quarter 2017 BattleTech releases right after Thanksgiving, the week of November 27th.

4th Quarter 2017 BattleTech Release - November 2017

20-5155 Cougar Prime / B Mech - 35 Tons - TRO 3060                                                  MSRP - $11.50

Not sure if I have seen this announcement repeated here on the forum. I apologise if it is old news but I have been a bit busy at this end and have been struggling to stay abreast of all the latest and greatest news.

The Jaguar is listed in the catalog of an online retailer I use.  The other three are not, so I suspect that they are IWM online only.

I've preordered the Phoenix Hawk IIC 7 from my flgs and the cougar is in their catalog so I assume those are all retail

Those four are all available on retail distribution (ie should be available from your LGS or online retailer, even if it has to be by special order).

The IWM webstore exclusive minis have a BT-XXXX catalogue number whereas the retail distribution minis have a 20-XXXX catalogue number.

Could we hope for a warhammer IIC 7 to follow the phoenix hawk on a space walk?

On a related note, which other unit would could be made for a S-team?

Shadow Hawk IIC 5 (IIRC) and Dark Crow 3. Anyway, those were the units I wrote up as being part of the S-Teams in TR3085.

What's going on with the Catapult II?  One online store expects it to become available soon.

If my flgs has its Q1 preorders right (as it has for at least the last two years), the catapult II will release along side the Marauder 7D, HawkWolf, and Xanthos 7O

The next batch of New Releases will be the following...
20-5158 Xanthos XNT-7O
20-5159 Catapult II CPLT-L7
20-5160 Marauder MAD-7D / MAD-9D
20-5161 HawkWolf HWK-4F

As far as being released soon...probably not. Last I talked to IWM on this subject, it was going to be roughly around Mid to End of February that these would be released. THIS IS NOT A 100% THING...crap happens, schedules get pushed back, or on a rare occasion moved up. So it could be slightly sooner, or later.

Having managed to get a very kind person to send me the MAD 7D/9D from GenCon ... it's a lovely mini, very good to work with. Not quite as good as the Classic, but definitely worth adding to your collection.
