Strange. The previous boxed set did include two. Perhaps it was a packaging error? I can't see why they take one out.

All these reports of the Thor being prebuilt have me worried. If I'm getting premium plastics, I want to build them myself in whichever pose I desire...

I only got one copy of the Tables Card too. The Quick Start Rules (p3) and the Introductory Rulebook (p6) both state that you are supposed to have two copies of this. PurplePawnBlog on YouTube doing an unboxing review only got one copy too, but I don't think he noticed.

For the record, i only got 1 reference card, and my Thor was assembled but the Loki was on the sprue.  And I got 2 quick-start books.

Two Quick-Start books; are you missing anything in your set? My Thor and Loki are the same as yours, too.

I checked and everything's there - unless I got it instead of a second reference card...

What am I going to do with these rulebooks that I'll never use?????

My last box set, I turned into a travel edition of Battletech, by adding some older plastic minis to the included ones, printing out extra sheets, and adding extra mapsheets, pencils, and dice. This way, I can toss that box in my trunk whenever I go on a road trip, and have all I need for a variety of Battletech games on hand whenever I can convince someone to play a game.

If all you've got to spare is the rulebooks, perhaps keep them for when you find someone interested in the game, and loan them the book so they can read it overnight and be ready to play the next day?

This conjured up an interesting mental picture because "travel edition"s of games are usually small enough to fit in your pocket.  ;D

Still no e-mail notification and I ordered it the day after it was put on Battleshop. I'm not worried yet, but if I don't see an e-mail inthe next 3-5 days I will be.

Have you gone and checked your account on the Battleshop?  Should be listed in there...

My preorder should arrive today or tomorrow and my FLGS should be getting in a bout half a dozen early next week.

I'm kinda looking forward to this for another reason: some of my mini painting is in one of the books  :)

Does anyone know why Catalyst went with the "fuzzy" version of the standard Battletech map?  I rather liked the "crisp" version.

Package received on Friday, though my BC account still says pending (hahaha). Same as with others, the second cheat card is missing, but that's not a big deal.

I just got both of mine the other day. These are great, fantastic job.
