In the punter's defense, there was another Bear who could have fell on the ball for a touchdown if he didn't bat it.

You would think that after that game a couple years ago (Ravens vs Broncos I think) where there was a interception and the dork showboated and dropped it before the endzone, just to have it recovered by the opposing team that coaches would be telling every player "if you do something stupid like that, you are going to be the tackling dummy for the next month of practice"

I remember Deshaun Jackson doing it when he was with the Eagles, and I thought Andy Reid was going to kill him and cook him right there on the sidelines.

It's one thing if it's some big defensive lineman who recovers a ball, has to run 90 yards, and by the time he gets there he's just totally gassed. I get that- last few yards the other team catches up to you, makes a move for the ball, that I get. Just showboating like what this nimrod was trying to do though? Man, you don't EVER slow down until you've crossed that end zone line. Probably best to slow down after the OTHER side of the end zone just in case. Get the points, THEN act foolish.

Or even better. Cross the endzone with the ball.  Then hand the ball to the ref.

Counterpoint: showboating is hilarious no matter what the outcome ends up being.  Either you get the best Dumb Moment of the game, or you get a team getting royally dunked on.  Both of these are good outcomes.

Oh god, who was that idiot for the Bears returning the failed kick and slowing down at the end to show off? I didn't see his name, but I'm pretty sure I'd have strangled his ass to death if I were his coach. If they'd lost that game in OT, you look back at the four points he cost you and start drawing up firing squad options.

Only way it could have been more hilarious would be if they were facing Dallas.

As a San Diegan who worked at the Murph when they went to the Super Bowl, as long as the Chargers continue to lose, I'll be happy.
Preach it, amigo.  El Cajon reporting in, and thank you for remembering the True Name of the stadium.

So what're they gonna do with the place now that the Padres have that downtown park?

Preserve it exactly as it is, as a monument to Mark Spanos's shame when the league forces him back to San Diego after two miserable seasons of sub-10,000 attendance.

Ahahaha, okay, that was needed.  Thank you.  Wow, that's absolutely terrible; I just...well, someone's gotta be the forgettable losers, and Cleveland deserves a break.  Meanwhile, ugh, that holding call against the Cardinals in the first quarter really blew the team momentum.  Even with some epic catches by Fitzgerald, it just wasn't happening.

Closing it in 2018 some time, I understand.  Aztecs will play football at the Padres ballpark for a year after than. Everything else is up in the air.

I admit I only watched part of the second half last night, but... Larry Fitzgerald really isn't human. I refuse to believe it. No mere mortal could make some of those catches he was making.

Aaaaanywho, let's take our medicine.

So another stink up by the Bears and two questions comes to mind..

Why does John Fox still have a job?

Why isn't Glennon relegated to the practice squad?

If you dont want to start Trubisky then put Mark Sanchez in for chrissakes... I'd rather see the Buttfumbler than Napoleon Dynamite!  >:(
