It's our turn in Quebec to have it. Only 15 cm at my place but 80 cm in the Gaspesia peninsula.  ??? The worst is the high winds and the bitter cold at the same time. Lucky for us, it's sunday.  :))

80cm?  Now that's a lot of snow!  The storm apparently just missed DC this weekend, though it is pretty windy.  We're off tomorrow any way (MLK day).

Well much like last weekend, didn't get much snow. I figure about 1-2 inches.

But it was the wind and blowing/drifting snow that was gonna be the issue. At least it's not as bad as I worrying about.

Big swing-and-a-miss over the weekend here in Lincoln, but we're lining up for a good hit Monday night into Tuesday.  Fingers crossed!

That's definitely a good thing.  Our company has no observed holidays between New Years Day and Memorial Day.  Most of the time, holidays like tomorrow, for everyone else, end up being the slowest days of the year because everyone thinks we are closed.

Too cold for snow right now. -24C (-11F), down to -33C (-27F) tonight. Tack on about another -10 with the windchill. 15-25 cm (6-10 in) of snow projected for later in the week.

Ouch, stay warm and safe

We have come off the worst of the heatwave from last week, forecast maximums of 34-39 deg C for this week. We also appreciate melted snow that you guys sent our way a couple of afternoon/evenings last week did a great job of helping to cool everything overnight. Keep it coming if you have any to spare  ;)

Got a whole 4 inches Sunday morning in the space of two hours.  The roads were only scraped when i left work at 6am so i was rather happy i had taken the Jeep to work.  The drive home was rather fun.

My grandfather was a hobby farmer and kept pretty detailed journals detailing weather, health of the cows, food usage and such.  This sort of thing wasn't unusual 50 years ago.

We have a predicted maximum temp of 39 deg C (102 deg F) today and 40 deg C (104 deg F) tomorrow. At least it got down to a nice 16 deg C last night so the house will start nice a cool this morning before the crazy heat sets in.

While I agree with your assertion, it could easily have been taken in Jindabyne or Adaminaby, just to name a couple of Aussie towns for whom that is a light dusting.

Yep, been there, done that in a couple of areas in the world, not for a while though, thankfully. Worst was in WA, there is no best when it's over 50C.

Hottest place I have been was Woomera.

45 deg C, dry heat but that was hot enough for me.

wind chill on its way down to over -50 tonight. the consolation is that it's too cold to snow
