Hey, I have a mech I would love to see a pic for if you wish to do it that is.

Not a commission though, as I am always perpetually broke, but if you want to tackle it let me know.

Thanks!!!!

That's debatable, but let's face it; some folks gave them a pass because they were big and claimed to be Scottish.

I'm generally reluctant to take any form of requests, since I know from experience, that if I deliver on one request, everyone will start asking. Elaborate on your idea, if it proves interesting and inline with my own path of practice, I will do so. If not, then I won't. No guarantees here. :P

Another two custom Unseens - Battlemaster and the Longbow. The BM is probably my best so far, but the LB came out rather
fat. :(

BattleMaster is very nice and many ways the Reseen taken to the next level.

The Longbow's "sensor-pod" thing looks very much like a VF-1 head, to me at least.

The original Longbow was based on the macross Phalanx, yah? Pretty sure it had a sensor pod similar to that, so I kept the general idea. I'll probably change it on the second attempt. I'm rather displeased with how fat it came out.

Here is the first attempt at BBlaney's Omni Mech. Didn't come out the way I want it, so will most likely redo it tomorrow. I do like the arms and the upper legs, though, so will probably keep those. And the jet-vents to the sides.

Custom Scorpion, Ostsol and Ostroc. Added a current to the weapon's area of the Scorpion to make it more versatile in combat (despite BT rules). used some Zendraedi battlepod influences for the two Ost-mechs. Hopefully the designs are more than different enough to keep HG off my back. :D

(Note: Mechs are not scaled)

EDIT:

Made a second attempt at Bblaney's Omni mech - came out pretty close to what I saw in my head.

Ost-Mechs are much closer to what I think of when they say walker-pod, while the Omni looks beefier now

Definitely getting a BattleMaster vibe off the Wolverine...

Also liking the more fighter jet nosed Locust too

It looks like you drew a little turret under the nose of the locust, but I think it should be accentuated.

Nope - that's the actuators on the far leg.  The Locust's ML turret is that little blister-turret above and behind the cockpit, on the 'Mech's spine - you can tell by the way it matches the ML bulb-turret below and before the Wolvie's cockpit.  ;)

I think you're right.  A locust needs an under-body turret, IMO.

There is an underbody curret, it's right below the nose (i guess it's kinda hard to see?  ???). Not as big as the one of the Unseen one, though. But it's just a media laser, I want to keep scaling as consistent as possible without violating the "rule of cool".

The Bulb on top is just a optical sensors pop, like on tanks.

I really like the Locust; it was always my favorite light 'Mech.

I think you're right.  A locust needs an under-body turret, IMO.

I do agree with this, though.

Yeah, it kind'a gets lost against that back leg - as I mentioned above, I took it for detailing of the leg actuators.

Not as big as the one of the Unseen one, though. But it's just a media laser, I want to keep scaling as consistent as possible without violating the "rule of cool".
In that case, should I take it that the arm-mounted MGs looking big enough to be a species of rotary autocannon is "rule of cool" in action?  :P

The Bulb on top is just a optical sensors pop, like on tanks.
With a canopy that large and granting such phenomenal visibility to the pilot, does it really need an optics turret?  Remembering how limited 'Mech sensors are in canon, I don't see it adding much to the baseline Locust's scouting capability - unless it represents an advanced model, one with an Active Probe of some sort?

I'm not trying to be difficult - in fact, I was hoping to yoink this very Locust for one of my own projects - but I'd just like to get the details nailed down, so I can understand the awesome as well as marvel at it.  :P
