Given how small the Locust is (mind that the mechs aren't scaled very well right now), the MG would be around 6-feet long, based on the cockpit size. Since I understand that Mech MGs can go up to the size of vulcan cannons, which too, is around 6-feet long, so I'd say the scale is about right. I can't scale it 100% accurate from mech to mech without 3D modeling, that and BT mech seems to have a giant spectrum of sizes for the same weight. So pretty much, if it looks good and is relatively reasonable, I stick with it.

As for the optical sensor, while true that the pilot has a wide viewing range, he's still looking at the targets by sight - limited by his own vision in the human eye's visual band. The Optical sensor would provide enhanced range (zooming) and night-vision and other wavelengths of viewing. I'd imagine it would be slaved to his helmet, like the Avionics helmets in the F-22, to give him added combat awareness.

And yes, the gun pod below is lose in the details after I had to move the upper torso back, in photoshop. I drew it in the wrong location in paintchat. :P

The under-body gun has almost always been a medium laser, however.

Sorry, I misinterpreted what you were saying about weapon sizes to say that the ML was a MG.  My mistake! I like the optical sensor turret, and think it makes sense too.

This latest series is pretty sweet. Are you intending to clean these up a bit like  the others, or is there a long term goal here? If not, are you planning on trying to "fix" the Locust?

Hmmm, I went and looked at your DA account, what happened to all of your Battletech imagery? Something up chief?

They will be inked digitally and then be opened for public usage. All the mistakes that I find will be corrected during this stage. Won't have time to do any of this for a while; not until organic chemistry is over for the summer.

All my monochrome or sketch art have been thrown into my "Scrapbook" folder on deviant art. Since most of my stuff is monochrome, they ended up there. All the battletech stuff are there now. I want to have a more colorful primary gallery. :P

I'm taking Organic Chem I right now. So far it's ok, but the summer sessions crams a lot of stuff in just a single day. But on the other hand, I don't have to study very much since it's still fresh in my head prior to exams.

I love these incarnations of the Unseens...  namely because they still try to live to their original namesakes without trying to gussy them all up with the newer variants' stuff while still looking really great!  Fantastic work!  You make it look easy.

These are all awesome so far, only the Goliath, the Shadow Hawk, Ostscout and possibly the Marauder II left to complete the "classic" unseen, and I'm sure those will be great too.

I believe I only have the Ostscout, Goliath, Shadowhawk, Valkyrie, and Thunderbolt (although the reseen Thunderbolt is badass as it is, imo)? I don't plan on making the IIC mechs at the moment. Also, to make these legal to be used freely, I must also change the names, if someone could help me brainstorm some names, it would be cool. here's my current list.

Battlemaster = Battlelord
Warhammer = Bardiche
Rifleman = Grenadier
Archer = Scorpio
Stinger = Dagger
Wasp = Rondel
Crusader = Paladin
Valkyrie = Aspara
Phoenix Hawk = Garuda
Griffin = Ophan
Scorpion = Dragoon
Ostrol = ???
Ostsol = ???
Ostroc = ???
Longbow = ???
Marauder = ???
Wolverine = ???
Goliath = ???
Locust = ???

Might have to change the weapons load slightly as well.

I always wanted to take TRO 3025 and update it for the first generation of InnerSphere Omni's. The Battlemaster became the Warlord, the Archer became the Grenadier, the Grasshopper became the Mantis, the UrbanMech became the Citymaster, the Catapult became the Warcat, the Goliath was the Mastodon, the Valkyrie became the Einhenjar, the Stinger became the Mosquito, the Marauder became the Vandal, the Locust became the Swarm, the Wolverine was the Badger, and the Longbow became the Arbalest.

Arbalest is already the name for a mech.

Maybe call the Longbow the Yumi?

How about the Van series by Van Fleet Industries to replace the Ost series.

Vanguard (Ostscout)
Vanquish (Ostroc)
Vandal (Ostsol)

Ostroc = Reaver
Ostrol = Balista

The Reaver has already been taken by a custom mech from the Mechwarrior 4 MekPak. Not an official mech yet, although it might be sometime in the future. Don't wanna end up with the same name. The Balista/Ballista is also taken by a canon mech, although no art of it exists on the BT-Wiki.

Thank you all for the contribution. Here is a semi-finalized list:

==================
LIST OF CUSTOM UNSEEN
==================
Battlemaster = Battlelord
Warhammer = Bardiche
Rifleman = Saker
Archer = Scorpio
Stinger = Kris - (edited from "Dagger")
Wasp = Rondel
Crusader = Hierophant - (edited from "Paladin")
Valkyrie = Aspara
Phoenix Hawk = Garuda
Griffin = Ophan
Scorpion = Dragoon
Ostscout = Gungnir
Ostsol = Gaebulg
Ostroc = Verutum
Longbow = Hurlbat - (edited from "Bombard")
Marauder = Xiphos
Wolverine = Kampfer
Goliath = Chiron - (edited from "Carabinier")
Locust = Gnat
Shadow Hawk = Peltast
Thunderbolt = Brontes

I have numerous other custom mechs that I plan eventually use for a fan-made TRO. Some of these needs some updated artwork, while most of them should be ok.

IS-Mechs:

-Vicar - (edited from "Myrmidon")
-Sorcerer (art needs update)
-Halberd
-Inquisitor
-Diablo (art needs update)
-Revenant
-Death Incarnate (art needs update)
-Marduk (art needs update)
-Firestorm
-Kappa
-Lei Shen

Clan Mechs:

-Hellknight (Goryo)
-Archon (Typhon)
-Faun (Yurei) - (edited from Satyr)
-Tarasque (edited from "Leviathan")
-Apophis (art needs update)

I however known basically nothing about the lore or of Battletech. If someone is willing to help me write up some fluff, it would be appreciated. If you're interested in teaming up with me, send me a PM or post here.

Note that all the mechs' weapons load are set, so there is no need to design them (weapons load designed to resemble the art). The art is, however, not finalized for some of these, as they are old and require updating; although their general shapes and weapon location won't change.

All the art are located in my Deviantart Gallery.
