These stats have yet to be published, so it could be wildly different from what I'm posting here. But this seems to make the most logical sense:
- Movement profile is moved from 3/5 to 4/6, accounting for the text's "increase in performance"
- AC/10 and ammo are replaced by a PPC
- SRM-2 and ammo are replaced by a single Medium Laser and three heat sinks
The last two satisfy the text stating that energy weapons were added. These are two, very simple swaps which keep the damage profiles close and give the vehicle enough of an edge that the SLDF would bother with this swap.
As a side note, the
Gallant is an odd duck on its own. Obviously, the wheels are intended to run on concrete ('urban'), so 3/5 is supposed to be 4/6. But with the engine upgrade, urban battles pump this guy to a 5/8, giving it the TH mods it needs to survive longer.
It's slow, but with its incredibly heavy armor, it usually becomes immobilized far before it's knocked out. This creates a big, heavy pill box in the middle of the field. And, unlike the worthless
Rhino "fire support" vehicle (I refuse to field them), it won't run out of ammunition before its lifespan is up. At 1,147, this tank is a bargain (the original is 1,056 -- still worth fielding in the right environment).
