A common sight in clan-integrated IS territories such as the Raven Alliance or Rasalhague Dominion. This Clan spec version of the Vedette is used a cheap garrison or peacekeeping unit.
While the first Vedette IICs were extensive refits of old IS Vedettes, new models are of entirely clanner tech base. The old ICE engine is swapped with a larger fuel cell engine, not only saving significant mass, but increasing speed to a 60kph cruise. The 'main gun' is replaced with two Protomech Autocannon 4s in the turret, served by 2 tons of ammunition. The hull machinegun is retained, but an additional one is added to the turret; a half ton of ammo feeds both. A remaining half ton is added to the armor, spread somewhat evenly across the vehicle.
In larger engagements, these tanks often sport precision ammo to make up for the typically sub-par gunnery skill of clan vehicle crews.
The tank's overall appearance and silhouette generally matches that of its IS ancestor. Only the turret is significantly different.
