The Ridgeway Medium Tank is built and used in the Republic of Crossroad.  Able to fit in a small vehicle bay, it is operated by the Republic Aerospace Force and the Republican Navy.

The Ridgeway is a fairly conventional main battle tank: A standard tank chassis equipped with a decent engine, capable main gun and anti-infantry secondary weapon mated to an advanced fire control solution.  The most exotic part of the tank is its armor, a thick coat of Ferro-Lamellor which provides effective protection against small arms and heavy weaponry alike.  The tank's weight at 50 tons is just small enough to fit in light vehicle cubicles and be rapidly deployed by the standard shuttles Crossroads uses in support of Airborne forces; an appropriate feature for a vehicle named after Crossroadian war hero Gen. George Ridgeway, who had spent his time as a junior officer in command of Airborne units.

Despite being a capable and highly strategically mobile vehicle, the Ridgeway lives in the shadow of the famous Charger MBT used by the Army.  While only five tons heavier than the Ridgeway, the Chargers uses lighter Ferro-Fibrous based armor to mount an electronics warfare suite and a strong secondary weapon suite of SSRMs.  More important than its technical specs, the Charger MBT is an ancient (by Crossroadian standards) design dating back to the beginning of the Republic of Crossroad's formation: As the first native Crossroadian-built design, the Charger is well recognized in the Crossroadian psyche, having participated in some form in every one of Crossroad's wars and even featuring in some art of the Skaret-Crossroad War.

While it may not have the renown of the seemingly immortal Charger, the Ridgeway continues to honorably serve the Republic of Crossroad.
