Hi all,

2 quick questions in relation to AS rules.

1. If the ground unit does not physically move from its position in the movement phase, does it get to keep its TMM? For example, is the intention for the unit to at least move 1 inch to keep its published TMM?

2. A unit has base values to hit of 2/2/2 but possesses the LRM 1/1/1 ability. If the unit uses its base value to hit numbers 2/2/2, can it also utilise an LRM special ability such as swarm missiles? Or to utilise alternate ammo can it only apply the 1/1/1 damage? I’m not referring to combing the damage values.

1. Yes. A ground unit must choose a movmement mode, and ground movement mode that gives the unit it’s TMM requires moving at least an inch.
2.  You can attack a unit with the 2/2/2, using the Swarm LRMs with the LRM1/1/1 special ability.  If you hit the initial target, use the 2/2/2.  If you miss, the Swarm LRMs then make a new attack on an nearby target. If that hits, use the 1/1/1.
