Mobile Gauss Trailer
« on: 20 January 2014, 14:07:34 »
So, after playing some MW4, the games mobile turrets got me thinking.  So I bashed one up!

The turret is a basic Gauss Rifle with TC on a trailer, with some extra spice, check it out here: http://bg.battletech.com/forums/index.php/topic,36635.0.html

As for the bash itself, the main gun is a Spare UAC 10 off of a Jupiter.  The base of it is an odd hip adapter to put a dasher body on Kit Fox/Puma legs.  Not sure what use there was for that...

The rest is some thumb tacks and craft beads for the wheels and part of a binder clip for the rest of it.  What do you guys think?

Very nice.

A couple of suggestions that might help. Gauss cannons are VERY power intensive weapons so some sort of battery pack on the binder clip or off to the side would really make it great.

Good idea, thanks!

For reference, this was my inspiration.

I kinda combined this idea with that of an 1860's cannon.  My intention that this thing rotates 360 on its base, and may be remotely controlled by a hard line and a nearby APC.
