Society Deployment Methods
« on: 07 November 2011, 14:49:16 »
Hello there

When creating a Society Force how does one consider non Mech units.  please note I use the word Point to describe a single combat element.

for example

Conventional Infantry- are they still 25 men to a point, or do the society use SLDF standards, or do they do some multiple of 3 or 7 (30 and 35 come to mind)

Protomechs- is it still a point of 5, or in keeping with Trey and Sept is it 3 Protmech Teams per point, or is a single Protmech considered a single point

Battle armor- Same as above

Combat Vehicles- Presuming this is an asset they had, is it still two vehicles to a point?

Aerospace Fighters- Still a pair of Fighters to a point?

Ben may correct me on the following:

A single unit is an "Un", a phrase that wouldn't come up when talking about 'Mechs.

Conventional Infantry
Un: 7 troopers
Trey: 21 troopers
Sept: 49 troopers

Protomechs
Un: 3 ProtoMechs
Trey: 9 ProtoMechs
Sept: 21 ProtoMechs

Battle armor
Un: 3 Battle Armor
Trey: 9 Battle Armor
Sept: 21 Battle Armor

* Note that Battle Armor was exceedingly scarce for the Society. They would have rarely organized as a Sept.

Combat Vehicles
Un: 1 Vehicle
Trey: 3 Vehicles
Sept: 7 Vehicles

Aerospace Fighters
Un: 1 Fighter
Trey: 3 Fighters
Sept: 7 Fighters

The solution is just ignore Paul.

Their secret army was small, and didn't benefit from large quantities of infantry. Remember, they had to start early.
That said, that's just organization. If I send 20 Septs of infantry at you, that's 980 dudes.

There's quite a few mentions in WOR of fighting "abominations" of various sorts.

would the society rely entirely on Virotherapy augmentations or would they use mino cybernetcs, akin to low level Manei Domini Implants
