Iron Wind Metals - Record Sheets, Canon or no?

Hi all,

Let me start off by saying I'm not quite sure where to post this - apologies if this is the wrong place.

On the Iron Wind Metals wesbite here: https://www.ironwindmetals.com/index.php/downloads/battletech/record-sheets, they use the phrase "Official Record Sheets for BattleTech" to describe downloadable record sheets they offer for sculpts they sell.

Are these record sheets considered "canon", and are they usable in Tournaments and the like?

Official and canon are two separately things. They're using the term official correctly, and these are indeed official and can be used at official events as long as they meet any other requirements of the event. These are completely official and created by, or in conjunction with, Catalyst Game Labs.

Whether or not they're canon is another issue. "Sort of" would be the best answer at the moment, because it actually requires some context to answer fully.

If I'm understanding correctly, the units themselves have the potential to exist in-universe, but this will only be fully confirmed once they're released in an official CGL product?
