After Tukayyid, the Inner Sphere knew a tentative peace.  The major powers, Inner Sphere and Clan, were no longer burdened by the terrible war of the Clan Invasion so they focused on finding ways to wage war better when the dogs of war were next unleashed.  Oh, and to take potshots at each other, of course, because it's what they do.  It wasn't all peace and sun and roses but it was better than the crisis of the Invasion.  Unless you were part of one of the endangered factions (Clan Smoke Jaguar, Federated Commonwealth, etc.).

A lot of new battle armor was introduced during the period between Tukayyid and the coming Jihad, what I'll call the "second generation".  Most of these were first seen in the Field Manual sourcebooks and were conveniently later collected in Technical Readout: 3058 Upgrade.  I believe most of these were originally available as sets of stands but are now available individually (or possibly in single stands).  (I have a few stands of Longinus Battle Armor on my desk right now.)
MW:DA also included plastic sculpts of all of these battle armor suits.

If you have any of these painted, points or squads or what have you, we'd all love to see pictures!

Like always, thank you for reading and espeically thank you to those of you who will post.

Our next two fortnights will be:
  • Inner Sphere (1/14): Catapult
  • Clan (1/28): Rifleman IIC

Okay, this could take quite a while... as i have painted most of the old ones (none of the newer).
So i will start with the Clans:
Gnomes are part of Hell's Horses Alpha galaxy (what else..?  :P ;D).
Salamanders as part of clan Wolf's Beta galaxy.

And some Salamanders and Undines in Lyran Guard colors. I won't say Diamond Sharks .... but Diamond Sharks.

Some Fenrirs, lyran Royal Guard (other emperors had a lion to cuddle with next to their throne...) as well as Lyran Guard.
The white base of the Royal Guard minis was intentional because they are playable parts of a winter scenario.
The Kage is a typical infiltration BA, so i painted mine as part of a Kurita DEST team.

Painted only one Kanazuchi BA so far. This one is part of the 3. Ghost regiment. It shows its personal, protective Bhudda on its back.
The Longinus BAs are part of the 1. Atrean Dragoons.

And finally some pictures of Raidens and Purifier.
The Purifier were an attempt at active camoflague, placing them somewhere between trees. I think i had to add those trees...
The Raidens are members of the 16. Galedon regiment of the DCMS.
