How many bomb slots do the Small and Large Fuel-Air Bombs occupy in Battleforce games?

Do they work the same in Alpha Strike?

Thermobaric weapons take 1 bomb slot, regardless of small/large.  They do the stated damage (3 or 5/2) in Battleforce or Alpha Strike.
