“Recon 227 to militia control. Recon 227 to militia control.”
“227 this is control what is your report?”
“Control we have a lance of vehicles moving in the Kiso Mountains. We cannot ID the vehicles.”
“Can you send video of the unit?
“Roger that control. Video is on the way.”
“Any markings on them 227?”
‘Negative control. Just a basic camo.”
“Keep them in sight 227. Give us an update every 30 minutes.”
“Roger control. Follow and report every …. What the?” The sound of rotor blades and then machine gun fire.
“Control to 227 report! 227 come in! 227!” looking over to the other officer on duty. “You better get the CO on the line. Looks like 227 ran in to something bad.”

“Elisio Tekeda to all G.S.F. commands you will need to prep a task group. One of the militia recon teams has run in to some unknown forces in the Kiso Mountains. You will need to locate this force and deal with them. The recon unit spotted four (4) vehicles our war books have not ID them as of this time. The recon unit is coded 227. Good luck and good hunting.”

OK so this is your next mission.
It will be on terrain. I will be running the OpFor.
all units that were on the last mission are still out on that mission.
all commanders normal unit make up. 1 'Mech, 1 armored unit, 1 infantry unit and you pick the last.

start working out what you are using I would like force lists by March 21 so if people need minis I can have them on hand.

Inside control rooms of all the major video broadcast stations on Nejiro.
“We cannot stop the signal.”
“Do you know how it is over riding out controls?
“No. The feed is on all carrier waves, and it is bouncing off all relay satellites.”
“Can we trace to origin and try to block it at the source?
“As I just said it is bouncing off all the satellites. We have no idea as to the origin point.”
As they watch the live feed. It shows a battlemech warrior working hard at getting the escape release open. You can see the vibrations as the ‘Mech is hit over and over. Smoke is filling the screen, than it goes dark.

We should think it over before committing troops.
Based on the dialog, we are dealing with a minimum of 4 vehicles.  Whoever shot 227 down was a surprise.

While we're on the subject, Shadhawk, what type of machine and model was 227?

227 was a ground recon unit. They were not shot down.

kiah requests the files of the recon 227
what ride were they in
she also requests there jackets and personnel file pictures to feed to the personnel going into the area so correct id's can be made

damn my real good scouts are on the other mission and are not yet back

once kiah gets a head count of the recon 227 she will feed it to the other commanders so we can plan for attack as well as possible rescue

just looked at the maps is nit the kiso mountains were my base is???

kiah sends an inquiry to the command center and the governor asking if any facial recognition programs can id the warrior in the vid

she also has all of her techs start reviewing the footage to see if any can determine from anything in the images what type of mech this warrior maybe in

she also increases the patrols around her base and around the clan build site

227 is a small 7 person squad. they were out on a standard sweep. the were using small ATVs.

Camp Kaki is the closest FOB. it is in the same mountain group.

form the limited video looks to be the XO of the Arkab.

need to know as they can not be used for this mission.

The footage was from a while back.  The Arkab XO was killed or chipped when their base was over-run by the WOB.

according to the information and live video feed that all members of the arkab received it was THE DATE that the GSF dropped artillery on that mercenary base.

Should I make my own fiction explaining why I won't be there?

What is the current status of the officer in question?

date and time stamp of video says differently

That was not stated by the news feed or by Anthony in his reply to me

It could be an old feed from the attack of the base

Dose kiah get any further information on the news feed?

Kiah dose make an inquiry on if the arkob's body was ever recovered

Kiah also asks as to what ride he was in and she asks her people who are reviewing the footage if they can determine anything helpful
(Any reflections off of things in the cockpit, anything visible out of the view screen etc)

Interesting but kiah has no knowledge of this and I do not see that information posted

And how would the arkab personal get this information ? They are in intense training and rehab I thought

Kiah makes sure the personal names and pictures of the squad are feed to the other commands so ids in the field can be done

Hey guys

So how should we approach this?

It seems to be a combination of scouting and possible recovery of the ATV squad
Any thoughts as to what we should field and our strategy?

At Camp Kaki the alarm is sounding. “All personal we have a security breach in bunker 4. All personal are to report to security stations. Security teams report to the XO. I Say again we have a security breach in bunker 4. All personal are to report to security stations. Security teams report to the XO.”
“Sergeant what is the problem?” Lieutenant Tan asks.
“Mam we had an alarm trip in bunker 4.” Sergeant Exhume responds.
“Do we have any personal in that bunker?’
“No mam. The OP team was checking the woods.”
“How did the intruders get in?”
“We do not know at this time. Lieutenant Abreu has Echo and Foxtrot squads moving to the bunker.”
“Who is backing them up?”
“Lieutenant Ash and Sergeant Bobbi in there rides.”
“Have Sergeants Sato and Kingsley mount up and walk the back side. No more than half a click out. Tell them to stay frosty.”
“Mam Lieutenant Baines and Sergeant Barcenes are on the horn and they have the armor unit warming up. They have techs in the Boom Stick just in case.”
“Good. Have Alpha and Bravo Infantry stay on their security sweeps.” Tan looks over the maps. “Tell them they may have to get back this was P.D.Q.”
“Roger that mam.”
“Inform GSF command what is going on and then make sure the boss is up to speed.”
“Roger that Mam. I know he is in bound from the mission but is a long way out.”
“Have Sergeants Rey and Sighn on standby. Have the techs get my ride warmed up. Last off get some warm bodies on the new toys the boss got.”
“Roger that.” The sergeant gets back on the radio. “Mam my squad and Delta have the security here handled.”
“Last off make sure that all our support personal are armed and that all locals are in the shelter.”
“Already done mam.”

I just got word that the party that forced me to skip the game has been cancelled.  Instead of having too much to do that day, I've got zilch. xp
Well, I have minis still in their blisters.
