Uh, I was under thee impression these forums were rated PG-13.

At any rate, this s7 newbie needs similarly new targets to shoot at.

Well, what happens on Solaris, stays on Solaris. Despite that, the RP side of the game is PG-13 and will remain so.

Update: The Arena Games are now up and running. Any character that is created by April 30th will be allowed to make up the matches they missed so they can claim participation in the full 3076 season.

The grace period is not over. Anyone who has not already contacted us about joing the game will jump in during whatever session is up. There are a few people still in talks about making characters, they will be the last ones allowed to start from the beginning of the season.

But we are still accepting people to play. :) There's still mechs to trash and money to be made and pissed away on gambling XD

I don't play over the net, but let me know if you're ever up in the Tulsa, OK area.  We do 3025 - 3050ish era quite a bit.  (We're more about the RP than the combat; though, the combat does make it interesting)

is it too late to hop into a game? I have never, repeat NEVER played in an RPG forum format. Have no idea how or what is expected of me, but I would like to get some roleplaying in. Can we choose our rides? I want a Wasp if a 1-A is available. I'll bring my own inferno ammo, lol. :)

what about the 3M wasp granted I am not a big fan of the MPL but it adds case for less self destructs and only looses 3 points of armor (upgrading to endo and ff armor)

personally I would have preferred 2 std mediums instaid of the 1 mpl or a second srm2 but hey shrug

It's a good start. Not a bad idea actually. If it's roleplaying then I will get a chance to upgrade right? So maybe do this and get it to something I could use halfway effectively. Like an LRM-5 and ER ML instead of SRM-2 and MPL. Keep the CASE though :)

well ya if you look through the solaris thread.. my charactor is Karen, who has a 3D phoenix hawk and frankly when I started looking close at that mech...

my main issues withthe 3D hawk are frankly its limited armor, and IMO ... excessive ams ammo especially with the new rules for ams systems

of course I have some thoughts for a really sick refit... (I personally hate IS mpl's) but I love er weapons especially clan er weapons ... of course clan LPL's are kinda too good, but how about a refit that downgrades the mpl's to std, or er ones (clan if I could get them) and then put the extra weight into the er larges swapping out for either C ERPPC, or C lpl  that could be kinda scary

where is the Solaris thread? Also, I love Pulse Weapons! But on the Wasp it's kinda dumb. It's such a tiny mech you should focus on staying away from an enemy. I could see it working alright on Solaris VII arenas, because it would be another light mech you are facing off against, but still. I would rather a little more firepower and range. I dunno, doesn't have to be a Wasp... it's just such an interesting little mech.

Necroing the thread here, sorry!

So I see the Solaris RPG forums have apparently disappeared... What's the word? Are we canning it? Moving it elsewhere?

Poofing is unacceptable! We demand less poofters permitting poof-baggery!

This saddens me but is not particularly unexpected. It's been sitting idle for quite some time now =(

If the posters persist in perpetuating a post-less parity, then poof is predictably probable to proceed.

Or more clearly, we've always been happy to support well-run, active RPG sub-forums. Solaris VII was well-run, but the activity had regrettably dropped off. We the management can't really do anything about that side of things.

As some of you have noticed, the CBT Solaris 7 game was taken off the boards. The game has never been the same since the Jihad Started. We lost a lot of players who did not want to get involved in the RP, however I must say that Steinhelden did an excellent job of it. When we lost Stein to Real Life situations, a lot of our momentum had died. Eventually the decision was made to move forward and jump to the end of the Jihad to continue.

We have had 3 semi-successful or failed attempts to revive the game. My attempt met with essentially the same fate as the other 2 and for nearly the exact same reason. I must apologize for my part in the games ending and hope that people recognize the other S7 Chronicles that are out there. I know of at least 2 others that have had good success on other boards and encourage you to keep on dueling ;)

Regards,

Jonathan

Not true! You're posting on a board dedicated to general roleplaying. Generate the interest, show the participation, and - foop! - new subforums can be created.

I trust you can understand why we'd like to see the involvement first.
