Well, there was an X8.9 flare today that looks like it'll miss us; talk about a whopper of an event.

I like having the medium as a secondary weapons it can switch to while cooling down from a couple rounds of Blazer fire.  Running and shooting the Blazer puts you at +4, so two turns of that and you’re looking at +8 heat.  That, a medium and running will leave you back at 0 heat again to repeat the cycle.

Wow, that does actually work pretty well, even with the loss of the two lasers.

Originally it was going to be called the Club, but one of the designers thought they were talking about Blackjack the Card Game, and used their own favorite game as the name. It won over the committee and so they ran with it.

401 Games (https://store.401games.ca/pages/search-results?q=battletech) has the mercs content listed for pre-order. If those prices hold, even with high shipping to Canada, this KS was a good deal for me.

Interesting. Couldn't refrain from doing the math...come out near to even as far as maps and miniatures are concerned, becomes a fair deal when you factor in the dices, posters and the like, this for roughly a battalion level pledge with quebec level taxes.

As long as there are no problems with the shipping, I'll be merry.

I suspect the Crater Cobras might come first... ;)

Building on that theme, you could probably make a poor-man's Blackjack too... :)

Agreed on it being Class B... I probably would have dropped the Medium for more armor, but that would still be Class B overall.

Nice to see other former SLDF units rallying to the Red Cameron Star! :)

Looking forward to seeing the Eridani Light Horse doing so.

Sticking to non-fractional accounting, I kind of actually like this more than the canon Vindicator thanks to shared logistics with the Locust.  You could even pair it with Whitworths as your poor army's Archer equivalent, extending out parts commonality more.
