We're less than two weeks out for the convention. For those of you coming, what's your preparation process?
1. Scramble to finish any projects I need for events I've signed up for <stares at pile of primed minis needing paint before the AS tournament>
2. Buy backpack-portable, non-refrigerated snacks like granola bars sufficient to last the time I will be there.
3. Check the balance of any credit cards..and make sure they are physically sturdy enough to take the beating they are about to get.
4. Put all our events into a shared calendar or spreadsheet (preferably online) so that everyone in our group knows where they are scheduled to be.
5. dig out two or three water bottles, preferably insulated, and clean them up. While there are water fountains at the center, the pressure gets low sometimes and the taste can get a bit funky. I prefer filling up at the hotel each morning. It won't last all day, but it usually gets me an the wife to lunch where we can re-fill.
6. Pack all my goofy gamer shirts that I don't get to wear much at work.
Honestly, I don't do anything all that special. The real trick is getting a decent hotel in walking distance without going broke. All other preparations pale in comparison to that one!
