That is very exciting. I enjoy books like this and would love to see a book on the history of BattleTech as well.

Is there any idea of a publication date?

The 25th Anniversary book wasn't enough?  ;)

Haha, it's never enough!

But I wanted to see more of a breakdown of what influenced BattleTech.  I just read LeGuin's The Dispossesed, which I wouldn't be surprised influenced BattleTech.  I know a lot of the original authors esteemed Moebius so I'd like to read about that.  Heck, one of the original guys that I met had a Tarkus tank that he sculpted in a display case so I want to read about what music they listened to.  The nitty-gritty, you know?

My first thought when I read the thread title was "Awesome!".  O0  (I don't talk out loud much, unless I'm talking directly to the cat, as she looks at me funny otherwise.  :D  )

I've got an old Ral Partha postcard, and I showed it to Mike Noe at GC '12 and he Loved it!  ;D  He said "I remember those!", but he didn't say how many they produced.  I pointed out to him someone listed the Crusader on the front of the card as a Phoenix Hawk!  ;D  I've never seen any others anywhere, or even heard of any others.  I wonder if Mr. Fathbruckner has any, or if he knows of any others.   ???

Is it too early to Pre-Order a copy?    ???  ;D

I also wonder, will he be able to have pictures of the Unseen in his book?  ???

It will also include a collector’s guide, with photos and release dates for the entire product line, including variants and resculpts.

To me, Repros are 100% Wrong, and there's NO  room for me to give ground on this subject. I'm not just an Immovable Object on this, I'm THE Immovable Object. 3D Prints are just 3D Repros.

I would send Jacob any question you have. The book is still in the development stages, though he has a lot of it completed so far.

I would certainly love to read this book and would love to see other, similar books on 80s gaming companies.

Very cool!  I would buy it.  I have the Grenadier book that someone made on CD, and I continue to wait for David Campbell's book on Heritage Dungeon Dwellers.

I will ask. The guy who is creating it has been busy with the Chaos Wars that he helped spearhead.
