(Answered) Campaign Actual Force Value
« on: 01 December 2013, 08:11:40 »
A small question, that occurs in my Alpha Strike Campaign:

A force has 128 PV and lost one Mech (Commando 5 PV) and a crippled other (Trebuchet 12 PV).

In the next track I could use 75% of my surviving force.

What is my actual force?
123 PV (128 - lost mech)
or
111 PV (128 - lost - crippled)
?

111. Retreat is a way to keep your force intact in the long run, even if the benefits may not be immediate.
The solution is just ignore Paul.

Thank you. I think that makes sense. A crippled mech would flee immediately. So it is worthless.

Okay, next question following :)

If I would raise the gunnery stat of one of the surviving mechs, I could improve my actual force value due to the skill modifier, right?

BTW.: Should pilots stick with their mech or could the change from a Spider to an Atlas free?

Personally I consider that very munchkin, but possible.

Yes.

Moving pilots around is permissible, though does require you track them.
I'm not sure I'd call it a munchkin move, after all, both in fiction and reality, you move pilots/crew around based on their skills. Of course, in your games, you're entirely within your rights to make such moves impossible.
The solution is just ignore Paul.

No it´s not impossible and not hard munchkin. But I (personally) wouldn´t switch a pilot from mech to another as long as the pilot of it is still alive. It´s more a roleplaying issue :)
