The old one looked like the Enterprise with legs.

Sorry, but those pics make my point.  (Nice work BTW)

The JJs on the legs are ridiculous and IMO the original RP mini is a better representation.

Proportions are off as well.

But, these are my observations and opinions.

If you are happy with it, great, enjoy it!

I'll stick to the original Enforcer mini.

I almost forgot another nominee for worst resculpt: the Vindicator!

WTH happened?  The orignal was PERFECT!!!

Goofy pose, crappy job on the head/cockpit...seriously, why even bother?   [soapbox]

I never like the Darth Vader look of the old Enforcer.

Agreed that the resculpted Vindicator was a step backward---perhaps if the arm were straighter or something.

Exactly.  8)

Re: the new Vindy - I agree that the old one was better. The old one looked like a cool robo-trooper from some 1950s sci-fi comic book. The new has a more ape-like feel to it IMHO.

(P.S. - It's very hard for me to say anything bad about the Vindicator in any of its incarnations.  ;))

Never! The new one is a far far more dynamic model with a great deal more detail. The old Battlemasters always looked chunky and bloated like they need to lay off the cheese cake.

I do miss the old Charger model... I wish we could have both the new and the old sculpt of it.

Just seems too skinny. It's an assault mech. It should be big and beefy looking.

It's beefy enough.  Not every assault mech has to look like a Fafnir.

I would weight in on the Marauder, but not that it is ugly.  I like the sculpt.  However, it seems to me, of all of the Phoenix designs, the Marauder is the one that departed most from the original's theme.

When I think of a Phoenix Marauder, I see the Marauder IIC Phoenix design in my mind due mostly to the more sweeping curves and general appearance.

It's the curves, it's missing all the curves and rounded, sleek edges.  :(

Mostly the Liao Marauder. Not only a totally different design (an affront to many people) but also a horrible mini. The one legged Liao Marauder is even worse than the Davion variant (maybe there are some lessons learnd).

But another atrocity would be the Behemoth. Although noone could really tell me were the gauss rifles of the old model were, it was cool looking. The new one is just fat with unproportioned weapons.

Blood Kite...the lack of a current scale resculpt makes the lack of said resculpt horrible and the worst resculpt
by its absence!

I mean..come on! the Adders got 2 Resculpts of their signature Assault Mech(the Blood Asp), and we Spirits are stuck
with one, dinky sculpt?

I agree but its not a resculpt, its the original. It would be perfect for a current scale big medium or light heavy...compare the wolverine II to it.

Other than it looking like the artwork, it needs a resculpt for a size adjustment.

the sculpt of the blood asp is actually really nice IMO, good detail for a funny looking thing, and works with one of the pieces of art quite nicely, it is just really small like Col and Mara said. i'm not a stickler for scale so i don't want the sculpt to be bigger for that reason, i just want a mech as chunky as that on paper to feel that chunky in my hands. plus a blood kite 2 would be cool  8)

You'd be more sensitive to scale if you wanted to have a regular Catapult and an L.E. Catapult in the same lance---the L.E. Catapult looks 20 tons heavier.  I was so disappointed when I saw its scale but otherwise I think it's a great miniature.

You could get another LE and cut the guns off and replace them with missile pods.

It actually came with both guns and missile pods.  But the L.E. (a.k.a. Limited Edition) are kinda hard to come by.  I tried to see if I could attach the guns and missile pods with rare earth magnets, but it didn't work out so well for me.  C'est la vie.

Hengist..you missed what I said: Because the Blood Kite does not have a resculpt, it makes the non-existant resculpt the worst because
it does not exist.

if that LE catapult ever became available as a regular mini it would be like a dream come true for me. that was one of the first minis i saw when i started collecting minis for the game, and when i ordered the catapult i thought it was that one. not that the one we have now isn't decent, i i was still disappointed, cause the LE one is amazing

I agree with you---I really like the L.E. and wouldn't lose too much sleep if it replaced the current iteration of the Catapult.  But its is still out of scale---they would need to put that thing on a 20-ton diet.

The LE Catapult was my first sculpt, and while I was under a tight schedule - it was my lack of experience that lead to it's huge size... :-[
