Royal speech challenge
« on: 01 March 2011, 04:58:51 »
So, a challenge was made within the Avatar thread, about speaking of yourselves only in the 3rd person.

We have thus decided to take someone's advice, and we have thus created a seperate thread for this challenge. Fatebringer has been challenged to do it for a solid week. Lets see if he can keep it up, shall we?

Even though this challenge is somewhat of interest, We shall not participate as it is below Our station. We have decided to allow Our lessers to participate in the level of buffoonery. However, while not particpating, We will allow Ourselves to be entertained by forthcoming antics.

Addendum: We believe that this thread should be transferred to Mechwarrior Hall were it should fit in nicely with its neighbours.

This one will see your challenge and attempt it as well. He doesn't post much outside of one thread, so this one will have no problem outlasting the other two. This one hopes you surrender first.

I thought the challenge was issued to ShadowRaven, not Fatebringer.  In any case, I wish the best of luck to all the poor fools who've taken up this gauntlet.

Isn't referring to yourself in the 3rd person a sign of a mental disorder?

Why does everyone "Fire at Will"? Is he really that bad of a person? And what did he do to make everyone want to shoot him?

It is. Watching anything with Charlie Sheen in it is also a sign of a mental disorder.

Even though we where once again mistaken with Fatebringer. In spite of radically different Avatars, one of which bears our name, we shall continue to carry on with this challenge.

We of the Gray Death Legion see no difference between ShadowRavens or Fatebringers. We believe names are unimportant. After all, in our personal experiance, one Snow Raven/Ghost Bear is as crazy as the next, except for the FGC62 version of Bryn Cooper. He has won our award for 'Most Psycho Clanner of the Decade', thanks to Fatebringer.

Or was that ShadowRaven? We can never remember.

You sir, have offended us greatly, with your attempts at trickery. We shall not stand for it. We hereby increase your challenge to 1 month in length.

We have come across a troubling dilemma. It is a well documented fact that all songs are bettered by an increased ammount of cowbell throughout their length. After much discussion, we have decided that these forums must likewise be lifted from their normally mundane beginnings.

Thus, we have decided that from now on, threads that do not meet our stringent standards of ludicriousness, require more Wombat. We have also approved the following statements:

We have a fever, and the only cure is more Wombat.

This thread must possess more Wombat.

This thread's lack of Wombat disturbs us.

Discuss!

Unless you are Phacade, then more Wombat is the cause of most problems, not the cure. If you ARE Phacade, then we have seen evidence to suggest that more Wombat is both the cause and the cure. If you are Achoo, well you have our royal sympathies.

This one rejects your claim of being offended and ignores you. This one only endures the third person as long as this one feels like it.

I find it interesting that while ShadowRaven and Deathknight have adopted a proper royal vocabulary, Your Name Is has started using a Gand-style third person speech pattern.

We concur with your conclusions, and we note that his boorishness in refusing punishment for his unfair tactics, is removed from the active challenge.

We applaud FateRaven(our new name for Fatebringer and ShadowRaven, so as not to confuse them) for his excellent vocalic skills. He truly does give the impression of a noble from an uncouth, barbarian society :P

Yes, but at least a rich trainwreck. It may be lonely at the top, but what a view.
