The big 'problem' with the Titan CV is that its really titanic, the things 250 meters long. Its only a few meters shorter and narrower than a Vigillant class Corvette, a full blown WarShip. Even the Conquistadore, one of the biggest aerodynes and 5,400 tons heavier is 68 meters shorter. I think the Titan also looks huge because of its shape, its big and quite blocky and that just adds to the impression of size.

It makes me think that somewhere along the lines in the distant past, someone screwed up with the Titan's length or weight.

The titan was built with original WarShips was it not?  When building rules were more guidelines

The Conquistadors weight I think is more distributed in width and height with the command facilities and MASH

Aye the Titan's part of that era of Dropship, so it stands to reason that something went wrong along the way during any conversion. For her size, she'd probably be as heavy as something like the Conquistador, but yeah the weight difference could be described as the bulk as the large majority of the Titan's hull is large open spaces for the hangars/flight decks/servicing bays etc.

also.

Its still a good few months off but here's the front cover :D

Absolutely love it! here is a take on the 3057 Titan that actually looks not just good, but fantastic!
Epitaph on an Army of Mercenaries

These, in the day when heaven was falling,      Their shoulders held the sky suspended;
The hour when earth's foundations fled,         They stood, and earth's foundations stay;
Followed their mercenary calling,               What God abandoned, these defended,
And took their wages, and are dead.             And saved the sum of things for pay.

It is not the first time that I wished that I had a time machine so that I could include this art in the original TRO 3057, that would have had such a huge effect.

As far as I know that sadly that doesn't fit in the current policy. :(
However I can see the possibility of a three-way contract (You, Matt Plog & TPTB), and TPTB then paying Matt for making 'minor' alterations to make it sufficiently theirs.

Ahh! Yes that would work :) Perhaps one day eh? :) But with the KS and all the shenanigans in the world, they've bigger things to worry about. But...in hte mean time....

The kestrel looks cool but I take it theres a deck under the small craft bays to link to the engineering section?

Indeed, its not hollow, the bay is adjustable to fit the standard shuttle sor boarding craft. And yes the hull is solid underneath, think of it having an arrangement similar to a space shuttle's cargo bay.

I gathered that it is and interesting design I just found the top side launching bay weird. Bays that face away and "down" from a ship just make more sense. In space it doesn't matter but in an atmosphere if there wasnt a clean launch it could be nasty

Sorry, marauder, what is this Project Nelson?  Snow Raven upgrades?

How my Project Zhukov focused on the Hell's Horses and gave the 'tank Clan' some actual tanks and units of their own and other units, this is the same idea. This will focus on the Snow Ravens to give the naval/aerospace Clan some distinct units and bits and bobs. This includes

9 OmniFighters
5 WarShips
4 BattleMechs
3 DropShips
1 PA(L) suit.

Its set in the same setting as the Zhukov book where the Clans have a bit of a brain and there's 8 Clans involved in REVIVAL as each invader has a backup reserve.

Wolf - Hell's Horse
Jade Falcon - Steel Viper
Ghost Bear - Diamond Shark
Smoke Jaguar - Nova Cat

And the Reserve Clans are activated shortly after the Battle of Rasalhague. Many OTL things still happen, Showers becomes a hood ornament of Tyra Miraborg, Tukayyid still goes ahead albeit with the 8 Clans there and ALL of ComGuard pretty much, and the Truce line is enforced etc.

And, like the HH book this goes back into the past to make changes that would affect the Clan in the future that I hope are rational and not 'favoured faction-y' :)

Interesting project you've taken on

Inspired by you and other writers :) The setting is an AU one and i'm working with another chappy to work on a (fluff/stats) document that expands upon the SLDF's navy which is called the Fleet 2800 Project. Basically the SLDF's idealised fleet for the future.

And we've basically moved that into the same setting as this one, so when that gets done it'll include the SLDF's fleet, upgrades for current classes, sub-classes, new ships, etc as well as future developments based on experimentation, including the introduction of Sub-capital weapons (with different names) plans for enhanced tactical coordination systems (naval C3) as well as newer weapons such as ER Naval Lasers, Naval pulse lasers, even Ultra-type weapons and LB type weapons and more.

And we're doing the same kinda thing to expand upon the Great Houses fleets to give them more WarShips and the like with different flavours etc.

I really should do a write up or story kinda thing for this.

In this setting the Wars of Reaving don't really happen, instead what happens is the Wars of Refusal which goes along until before Bulldog/Serpent and then flares up for...reasons. It ends in the Grand Abjuration.
