Overview:
A main battle tank developed for the AFFC by GM, RSB and Johnston, first
entering service during the Clan Invasion. Suspiciously similar to the Bulldog,
Quikscell launched several abortive legal actions to try and prevent Mastiff
production, or at least force the three companies involved to pay licensing
fees; none were successful, and the Mastiff entered service with the AFFC
(primarily in units from the Davion half of the Commonwealth) in 3054.
The example shown is "Old Strontium", a machine from the 14th Syrtis Grenadiers
that served during the FedCom Civil War and was in receipt of the 3058 upgrade
package; replacing the original's six Streak twin-packs with two Streak
six-packs.

Mastiff (3054)
The original production type, its sole difference being that the Streak
missile launchers were six twin-tube types, rather than two six-packs. All
examples in service have received the 3058 upgrade package that swapped out the
Streak launchers.
