So this militia unit "found" some high-quality leftover spare parts and enough money for some now engines. A little tinkering with their old tanks and these nightmares rolled out of the vehicle pool:

Hmm, 

Engine swaps means full factory required.

But this does make me wonder about taking the stock Scorpion & using a RAC-2 instead.

Makes for an interesting crit seeking vehicle killer at least.

For crit seeking an LB 5-X might be better. Longer range, and no jam chance with 5 potential clusters on every hit. Though granted it's less burst damage.

I love all things with a rotary cannon... :thumbsup:
When it comes anyhing but a Fusion engine, I ignore the "factory facilities" requirement. A determined engineer in a well equipped garage could swap out an engine fairly easily. Custom vehicle shops do it all the time. Only the hardness of the materials and the power of the tools needed are really any different.

Realistically the problem should be if you change the unit's speed, not the engine type. Engines are changed all the time IRL. Doing a significant rework of the transmission, not so much.
