Warning: this is my first attempt at creating an alternate timeline, inspired by works of several others.  I was hoping to use said timeline to create new designs.  Grammar fixers and feedback most welcome.
I'll split the work in several posts, in hopes making it easier to read, and allow me to rest time to time.

With that, I present to you........

All Because of a Vision Alternate Universe
(i.e. Clan Nova Cat takes the other road)

Points of Divergence- year 3056:  A Vision Recognized
After the "Red Corsair affair", Clan Nova Cat Oathmaster Biccon Winters received a vision in early 3056, that both perplexed and troubled her.  Her vision started with the a wolf and a Nova Cat running together, only for the wolf to literally split into two, as it was attacked by a Jade Falcon.  The Nova Cat, now alone, encountered a forked road, with one path heading to the unknown, while the other showed a glowing icon of the Star League.  The feline curiously checked out the icon, only for the icon to embed itself onto the Nova Cat's forehead; at that point, several daggers assaulted the feline out of nowhere, who managed to get away, but is now horribly injured.  The Nova Cat, now bleeding, stumbled upon a Ghost Bear and a black dragon fighting each other, and tried to bypass the two creatures, only to get caught in the fight, and getting more injuries from both sides.  Eventually, the Ghost Bear left, and the badly injured Nova Cat could barely stand, as it saw the dragon closing in.  Surprisingly, a smaller white dragon came out of nowhere, and stood in front of the Nova Cat, and with a touch, gave the Nova Cat dragon-like scales, as well as rejuvinating the feline.  Both the white dragon and the Nova Cat then fought the black dragon, only for the black dragon  to sprout more heads and grow much larger; outsized and outnumbered, the white dragon was soon killed and eaten, and the Nova Cat could only look in horror as all of the black dragon heads attacked at once; that was when the vision ended.
After meditating over the vision, Biccon Winters managed to have a private meeting with ilKhan Ulric Kerensky, and discussed her vision with him.  Though not a believer in mystical visions, he recognized that the vision shows the current state of Clan Wolf and the possible outcomes.  With the help of the current Clan Wolf Khans, Ulric created the "Project 300" backup plan, hoping for the best, but planning for the worst; besides the Wardens of Clan Wolf, the plan included secret help from the Coyote, Diamond Shark, and Goliath Scorpion Clans.  As soon as the 3057 Refusal War began, "Project 300" was executed; this resulted in the majority of the Warden Wolves (also known as Clan Wolf-in-Exile) making their way to their new home in Arc-Royal, with the technical support and supplies arriving at later times.

Year 3059:  A Vision Realized
  • After the reformation of the Star League, Clan Nova Cat Oathmaster Biccon Winters looked back to the vision she received, as well as learning of rumors of Clan Nova Cat possibly joining the new Star League.  Realizing that this could lead to the destruction of her Clan, she managed to arrange a meeting with her Khans, and convinced them not to be part of the Second Star League, due to the fact that the revived Star League is still in its infancy.  Instead , she persuaded the Nova Cat Khans to leave their Clan's occupation zone, preferably  with their forces relatively intact; while this would make the Nova Cats look weak, the Clan would still have considerable strength to defend their holdings in the Kerensky Cluster.
  • With the help of Minoru Kurita, Biccon Winters managed to arrange a secret meeting with Victor Steiner-Davion and Anastasius Focht, the two leaders of Operation BULLDOG.  As a result, the Smoke Jaguars were the primary target during Operation BULLDOG; while the Jaguars were getting smoked, the Nova Cats made a colossal redeployment of all of their forces, with the help of their friends from Clan Diamond Shark.  By the time the OPERATION BULLDOG forces made their move against the remaining Nova Cats, the Inner Sphere side ended up facing mainly Solahma and Second-Line Clusters, as well as one Cluster consisting of all of the stubborn Crusader-minded Nova Cats; the Clan Wolf-in-Exile elements of OPERATION BULLDOG mainly dealt with the leftover Nova Cats, with the survivors becoming part of the Clan Wolf-in-Exile's touman.
    • Besides ensuring that her Clan survives, Biccon Winters also managed to share with Victor another vision in regards of his mother's death, and while it did not lead to the killer, the vision provided enough information that would  eventually lead to enough clues to implicate Katherine  Steiner-Davion of matricide.  When Victor asked about her motives for helping him, the Oathmaster replied that the Lyran Archon reminded her of a female Stephan Amaris.

    Task Force Serpent
  • Marshal Morgan Hasek-Davion would still be subjected to attempted assasination via poison, but laxatives proved to be a terrible poison of choice, and while the Marshal did suffer a degree of dehydration as a result, he would recover, swear off alcohol temporarily, and make the trip to Huntress;  coincidentally, at the same time, a crew member named Lucas Penrose was found dead sitting in the toilet, along with a spent hold-out gyrojet pistol, and a gunshot wound to the head.  Although an autopsy would reveal a toxin in his body, the investigators assumed that Lucas' death was due to suicide via gunshot, and never unearthed his Loki connections.  However, the incident did delay the trip long enough for the Task Force Serpent to intercept the "Voice of Kerensky".

Divergence-Kerensky Cluster situation in 3060:
Task Force Serpent
With Marshal Morgan Hasek-Davion still leading Task Force Serpent, the invasion of Huntress proceded as planned, albeit with minor hiccups due to Protomechs; but after achieving their objectives, the Marshal decided to selectively enforce "General Order 01051", much to his second-in-command's protests, as fully enforcing it would require the surviving units of Task Force Serpent to dismantle or destroy all military equipment and all military-industrial facilities in Huntress.  Instead, he made use of the captured facilities to refit and rearm the Task Force units, citing possible Jaguar units still unaccounted for in-planet and out of planet, although he had said facilities booby-trapped just in case.  At the same time, Morgan directed his intelligence teams to scour for maps of the planet, in order to gain a better understanding of the planetary topography.  The Marshal's pragmatism allowed Task Force Serpent to weather a ferocious counter-invasion from the Smoke Jaguars that retreated from the Inner Sphere, as well as the guerilla actions of Russou Howell-led Smoke Jaguar forces.  Unfortunately, by the time Task Force BULLDOG arrived to Huntress with reinforcements, Task Force Serpent had lost 50% of their forces, and Morgan Hasek-Davion was badly wounded during the last ferocious push by the Smoke Jaguars.  After the Smoke Jaguars (except for Lincoln Osis and two binaries' worth of forces) were put down, the Marshal  was able to accomplish three more objectives before succumbing to his injuries:
  • Convinced that Victor Steiner-Davion and Anastasius Focht that as a unit (with the exception of the 11th Lyran Guards; that unit was completely destroyed), Task Force Serpent is still viable.
  • Convinced "Trent" to join the Eridani Light Horse, and by extension, Task Force Serpent, assigning him a salvaged Warhawk Prime; this was done with the approval of the ELH leaders and leaders of the Task force BULLDOG.
  • Transferred command of Task Force Serpent to Brevet General Ariana Winston of the Eridani Light Horse.

Great Refusal
After securing Huntress, the reborn SLDF challenged the Clans to a Trial of Refusal over the invasion of the Inner Sphere.  While ilKhan Lincoln Osis accepted the challenge, the Ghost Bear Khans refused to participate, citing the Trial is primarily against the Crusader philosophy, before claiming the Warden mantle.  This set a precedent, and allowed other Warden Clans to not get involved as well.  Clan Nova Cat, Clan Diamond Shark, and Clan Steel Viper also joined the Warden side as well,  leaving  only the eight Crusader Clans and the remnants of the Smoke Jaguars to fight the SLDF forces.  Due to the Smoke Jaguars having only two binaries left to field, each participating Clan committed similar-sized forces as well.

The resulting engagements went as follows:
  • First Battle:  Clan Blood Spirit (Blood Guard Keshik) vs. Draconis Combine (1st Genyosha) - still fuming over being denied their vengeance against the Burrocks, Khan Karianna Schmidt and her forces took out their rage against the Kuritan forces; however, the Blood Spirit warriors were also distracted by their anger, and underestimated the skill and courage of the 1st Genyosha, leading to their defeat, and a victory for the reborn SLDF.  Score 1-0 for SLDF
  • Second Battle:  Clan Fire Mandrill vs. Capellan Confederation (Red Lancers) -  unit cohesion a major factor; the Fire Mandrill side was composed of warriors from different Kindraa, and the internal bickering of the Fire Mandrill forces led to them being easy pickings for the Capellan unit, notching another victory for the SLDF.  Score 2-0 for the SLDF.
  • Third Battle:  Clan Hell's Horses (Alpha Keshik)vs. Free Rasalhague Republic (3rd Drakon) - the Hell's Horses initially repulsed the 3rd Drakons, but the Rasalhague forces were not to be denied; Overste Joan Dahlstrom rallied her troops and crushed the Horses with a barrage of devastatingly accurate weapons fire.  Score 3-0 for the SLDF.
  • Fourth Battle:  Clan Star Adder (Adder Command Keshik) vs. Free Worlds League (1st Free Worlds Guards) - The Star Adders lured the 1st Free Worlds Guards deep into the Perium swamp using Elementals and light 'Mechs as bait, before springing their trap and crushing the Marik forces.  Score 3-1 with the SLDF in the lead.
  • Fifth Battle: Clan Jade Falcon (Turkina Keshik) vs. Comstar (Invader Galaxy) - The location of the battle gave the Jade Falcons the best position to defend themselves, and used it for all its worth; the Comstar forces pressed hard, but were eventually worn down and forced to accept defeat.  The momentum appeared to be on the Clans' side , with the score of 3-2 in favor of the SLDF.
  • Sixth Battle: Clan Ice Hellion (7th Attack Cluster) vs. Task Force Serpent (Eridani Light Horse) - With the consent of "Trent", Brevet General Ariana Winston revealed his presence in the battle; furthermore, "Trent"  also revealed his location, which was apart from the rest of the ELH forces.  This not only disrupted the Hellions' strategy, but also gave them a major target to fixate on.  However, "Trent" was piloting a Warhawk Prime during the battle, and inflicted a heavy toll on the Hellions, taking out 50% of their forces and even killing Khan Asa Taney by shooting down his Visigoth, before "Trent" himself and his Warhawk were finally taken down.  However, this allowed the ELH to finish off the rest of the Hellion forces, but not before nearly taking another major casualty; in the final moments of the battle, the last surviving Hellion aerospace fighter attempted to slam into the Ariana Winston's Cyclops cockpit, but the Brevet General shielded her cockpit with her Cyclops' arms; the ensuing crash claimed both the ASF and the pilot, and obliterated the Cyclops' arms, but Ariana Winston survived.  Regardless, this did not change the fact that the SLDF now has won four out of the six battles, leading by 4-2.
    • Sellen Cage would succeed Asa Taney as Khan of the Ice Hellions, with Raina Montose becoming saKhan.
  • Seventh Battle: Clan Wolf (Golden Keshik) vs. St Ives Compact (1st St. Ives Lancers) - Both sides were evenly matched; the Lancers had durability and marksmanship on their side, while the Wolves had mobility and fury on their side.  Even when Kai Allard-Liao's Stormcrow  managed to down Khan Vladimir Ward's Timberwolf, both sides were still at a stalemate.  In a surprise move, Kai and Vladimir agreed to a draw.  This nullified the Clans' chances of winning the Trial via the current score; however, there is still a chance for the Crusaders to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat on the eighth battle.
  • Eighth (and last) Battle:  Clan Smoke Jaguar (two binaries) vs. Federated Commonwealth (elements from 10th Lyran Guards and First Kathil Ulans)-fighting with their survival at stake, the Smoke Jaguars disregarded zellbringen, and the FedCom forces likewise did the same.  The Smoke Jaguars fought ferociously, but were cut down by long-range fire, until IlKhan Lincoln Osis was the only one left, lying prone on the ground, his Elemental battle armor shattered and barely functional.  Victor Steiner-Davion personally approached the Smoke Jaguar leader while inside his custom Dire Wolf (Promethius), and the two leaders conversed briefly.  Desiring a honorable death, Lincoln Osis willed himself to stand up, in spite of the excruciating pain, and made a threatening posture .  However, that was all he could do, as Victor double-tapped his Promethius' Ultra AC/20, and reduced the ilKhan to chunky salsa.

Having won five out of eight battles, the reborn SLDF claimed victory, and thus, by the terms of the Trial the Clan Invasion ended.  At the same time, Clan Smoke Jaguar officially seized to exist.

Kerensky Cluster Post-Great Refusal years - 3061-3063:
Wars of Possession and the Nova Cats
With most of their touman intact, Clan Nova Cat was not only able to properly defend its holdings in the Kerensky Cluster, but also get involved in the so-called "Wars of Possession", which often involved former Smoke Jaguar assets. That said, the Nova Cats still had to contend with certain Clans, who view the Nova Cats' retreat as a sign of weakness, and were ripe for the picking, only to realize too late and pay dearly for that view.

  • In Bearclaw, the Nova Cats retained their enclaves there, while the Snow Ravens took over the rest of the planet.  However, Clan Hell's Horses launched an offensive on the world, capturing 30% of the planet, all at the expense of the Snow Ravens; the biggest prize of all was the manufacturing complex that once built the Executioner Omnimech.  After several more clashes, all three clans reached an agreement on how to share the world.
  • In Circe, the Nova Cats made a play for the territories that once belonged to the Smoke Jaguars (which was 20% of the planet); it was a four-Clan slugfest, with the Wolves, Snow Ravens, and the Coyotes in the mix as well.  In the end, each Clan got 5% each, and the Nova Cats gained the Cudahy Assembly Plant Delta.
  • In Gatekeeper, the Jade Falcons'  53rd Battle Cluster made their move against the Nova Cats, motivated partly by the Cluster's feud against the Warden Clan, as well as seeing them as weak after the Nova Cats' withdrawal from the Inner Sphere.  Zellbringen was discarded and the fighting was brutal, with the Nova Cat garrison slowly being pushed back.  However, the arrival of the Nova Cats' Vision Keshik halted the Jade Falcons' advance, and the aggressors were pushed back so badly that they actually lost territory (after the conflict, the planet's ownership is split 50/50 between the Jade Falcons and the Nova Cats), and a Summoner production facility.  However, the Nova Cats suffered the loss of its leaders, Khan Severen Leroux and saKhan Lucien Carns.  They were succeeded by Khan Santin West and saKhan Karl Devalis respectively.
  • In Hoard, Clan Ice Hellion made forays into Clan Nova Cat holdings, only to be pushed back each time.  When the Hellions later made an ill-advised attack on Star Adder holdings, the Nova Cats struck at the Hellion enclaves, capturing most of them and reducing Hellion presence on Hoard to 10%.  However, they would lose half of those enclaves in subsequent Trials against Hell's Horses afterwards.
  • In Delios and Vinton, the Nova Cats and the Diamond Sharks joined forces to take possession of the former Smoke Jaguar territories; as a result, the Diamond Sharks own 70% of Vinton, while the Nova Cats own 30%, while Delios was split evenly between the two Clans.
  • In Tokasha, the Diamond Sharks and the Hell's Horses fought Trials of Possession over the territories that the Ghost Bears left; the Horses won, regaining the Tokasha Mechworks Alpha manufacturing complex.

Clan Steel Viper did not participate in the "Wars of Possession", instead preparing on taking a bigger prize; the rest of the Jade Falcon worlds in the Inner Sphere.  The ensuing conflict in 3062, known as the "Hegira War", initially went well for the Steel Vipers, but were eventually defeated, and ejected from their Inner Sphere holdings.  After returning to Clan Space, the Steel Vipers would suffer a loss in leadership, as Khan Perigard Zalman died from his injuries in 3063 after fending off another Trial of Grievance.  He was succeeded by Brett Andrews, with former Khan Natalie Breen returning as saKhan (she was supposedly KIA during the Hegira War); despite their differences, both Khans worked together to rebuild their Clan's shattered touman.

Inner Sphere Post-Great Refusal years - 3061-3063:
  • To her surprise, Ranna Kerensky discovered that she was 3 months pregnant in January 3061, with Phelan Kell as the father of the child; Ranna Kerensky would soon enjoy the wonders of odd cravings and other fun stuff, while Phelan Kell learned how to do proper footrubs and to use the magic words, "yes dear".  Six months later, a boy named Olcan was born.
  • While stopping by Luthien on the way home to New Avalon, Theodore and Omi Kurita would inform Victor Steiner-Davion that Omi gave birth to a son, Kitsune, while Victor was away, but the baby only lived for a few hours, before passing away, for reasons unknown despite extensive investigations.  Victor and Omi would spend several more private moments together, and both eventually believed that Kitsune's passing was a sign that they are not meant to be together; or at least, not yet, but maybe in the future.  By the time Victor left Luthien, he and Theodore reaffirmed their friendship, and promised Omi that she will always have a place in his heart, even if she finds another lover in the future.
  • The Detroit Incident- in  February 3061, an MAF/CCAF task force led by Naomi Centrella attempted to rescue the Taurian Protector Jeffrey Calderon and Magestrix Emma Centrella from Sherman Maltin and his group of rogue Colonial Marshals, who had held the two leaders hostage in Detroit since December of the previous year.  The task force succeeded in rescuing the Magestrix, but Jeffrey Calderon was killed in the crossfire.  As a result, Grover Shraplen took over as Lord Protector of the Taurian Concordat, and this would lead to the formation of the "Trinity Alliance".

Early to Middle 3061: The reformation of the Federated Suns
Prior to Victor Steiner-Davion's return from the Great Refusal, Katherine (Katrina) Steine-Davion attempted to ursurp the FedCom throne while he was away, but MIIO and pro-Victor forces arrested her in New Avalon, while pacifying any suspected pro-Katrina factions in the Davion realm (with only the 8th FedCom RCT offering a significant degree of resistance; in the end, the unit was completely destroyed).  After Victor's return, and several subsequent high-profile meetings later, he made two shocking public announcements:
  • First, Victor announced that the Lyran Archon is under arrest for treason and matricide (the murder of Melissa Steiner-Davion), and publicly provided copies of evidence to every Great House (with ComStar's help).  This eventually led to anarchy in the Lyran Alliance, keeping the LAAF busy in keeping the peace; only in the ARDC region and Coventry Province were spared from infighting.
  • Second, after making a speech about being abandoned by most Lyrans and supported by the Davions, he proclaimed the "official" dissolution of the Federated Commonwealth and the restoration of the Federated Suns, with him taking over his father's title as First Prince, as well as dropping the Steiner surname, and officially changing his name to "Victor Davion".  This was met very favorably by the majority of the newly-reborn Federated Suns' citizens (and even by some Lyrans).
After securing his new domain, Victor Davion used his political and military might to halt Sun-Tzu Liao's attempts at recapturing the St. Ives Compact, leading to a ceasefire in the Capellan-St. Ives Conflict.

Late 3061: The Second Whitting Conference and a new First Lord
Held in Tharkad, the Second Whitting Conference was anything but formal, as current First Lord Sun-Tzu tried to take credit for Operation BULLDOG , only to fail miserably; he was also accused of abusing his position as First Lord by Duchess Candace Allard-Liao (representing St. Ives), Victor Davion, and ComStar, and soon Sun-Tzu was getting verbally slapped around by the other representatives.  Sun-Tzu finally got a break when the attention was shifted to Victor Davion's arrest of Katrina Steiner, and how her trial would be conducted.  After some discussion, the following resolution was made; the imprisoned Lyran Archon would be tried in Tukayyid, with judges drawn from all over the Inner Sphere ,and if found guilty, Katrina Steiner would not be subject to the death penalty, and only be punished via prison sentence.  In the meantime, she would await her trial in Tukayyid, in a special prison cell, guarded by members of the Black Watch.  Transferring the prisoner from New Avalon to Tukayyid took three months to complete, due to the significant tension and danger involved, but the transfer was completed without incident.
  • During a private meeting between Archon-Regent Nondi Steiner and First Prince Victor Davion (with Anastasius Focht as mediator), the two leaders began negotiations regarding the formal breaking of ties between their respective factions.  While it became heated at times, eventually deals were made, with Victor coming out with the biggest prize of all; the schematics and production rights for the Battlemaster 'mech.

As for voting for the next First Lord, Christian Månsdottir, the Elected Prince of the Free Rasalhague Republic, ended up gaining the post of First Lord.  The new First Lord surprised everyone by acting immediately, demanding Sun-Tzu Liao to completely withdraw his troops from St. Ives, and return any captured planets.  The Capellan Chancellor tried to protest, but when even Captain-General "Thomas Marik" of the Free Worlds League refused to side with him, Sun-Tzu Liao was forced to comply.
  • ⦁Christian Månsdottir would later approach Ariana Winston, and asked her to become the new Commanding General of the SLDF; she accepted, and leadership of the ELH was transfered to Edwin Amis, who chose to hold the rank of Lieutenant General.

3062-3063: The Kokuryu-Kai Menage-a-Trois
The Black Dragon Society (Kokuryu-Kai), a group of hard-line traditionalists opposed to Theodore Kurita's reforms, initiated "Operation Batu" in early 3062, in an effort to destabilize the Coordinator's hold of the Combine, and eventually lead to his removal.  Operation Batu  was implemented in three stages:
  • Stage 1 - Incite the Alshain Avengers into an unauthorized invasion of Alshain; whether the invasion is successful was not considered, but the real goal instead was to gain the ire of the Ghost Bears, and tie up the DCMS.  This led to the conflict known as the Combine-Ghost Bear War.
    • As for the would-be invaders, the Alshain Avengers would be destroyed by the naval forces defending Alshain before even reaching the planet's surface; not a single member of the Alshain Avengers survived.  While the Ghost Bears warships were the primary naval force defenders, they were aided by a Nova Cat Warship (whose captain and crew were led there by a vision), and a Diamond Shark Warship (who joined in the fray when the merchant ships it was escorting were indiscrimately attacked by the Alshain Avengers).
  • Stage 2 - As soon as Theodore Kurita and the DCMS are focused on fighting the Ghost Bears, several DCMS forces under the influence of Kokuryu-Kai would attack the FedSuns worlds of Robinson, Markab, and Doneval II; regardless of how much damage the attackers would make, the attack would lead to the AFFS eventually striking back.  The ensuing conflict between  DCMS and the AFFS would later be known as the Marduk War.
  • Stage 3 - A direct attempt on assasinating Theodore Kurita, while the Coordinator was busy dealing with the Ghost Bears and the Davions.

While Operation Batu started as expected for the Kokuryu-Kai, things did not always go their way:
  • As expected, the Ghost Bears unleashed their wrath upon the DCMS, and were taking world after world at a frightening face, especially in the Irece Prefecture.  However, under Tomoe Sakade and Hohiro Kurita's leadership, they were able to force the Ghost Bears to overextend themselves, and launched counter-raids that wrecked havoc on the Clan forces' supply lines, slowing them down significantly; it also helped that the Ghost Bears did not have a cohesive invasion plan to begin with.  At the same time, the Ghost Bears had to deal with predatory strikes from Clan Wolf and Clan Hell's Horses.  Looking to end the conflict, both the Ghost Bears and the DCMS settled it all in a Trial of Possession for the planet of Courchevel, in which the Ghost Bears won, thus ending the Combine-Ghost Bear War in late  3063.  With the exception of Courchevel, all planets conquered during the conflict were returned to their respective pre-war owners.  The conflict inflicted heavy casualties on the DCMS, including the life of Tomoe Sakade, who died while fighting in Courchevel; at the same time, many of the devastated DCMS units were secretly aligned with the Kokuryu-Kai.
  • The Marduk War (the AFFS counterattack against the DCMS) started in early 3063, and unlike the Combine-Ghost Bear War, the AFFS targeted less worlds, albeit at a shorter timeframe.  However, under the leadership of First Prince Victor Davion, each planet was captured with overwhelming force, taking advantage of the reduced DCMS presence.  Theodore Kurita did attempt to send units to counter-raid and disrupt supply lines, and  while some damage was made, most of the raids ended in failure; the 3rd Benjamin Regulars, in particular, attempted to raid Kentares, but met fierce resistance, and were destroyed in a vain attempt to retreat. The capture and pacification of Marduk and Galtor III, with the First Prince personally leading the invasion of Marduk, closed out the Marduk War, in the mid-3063.  Afterwards, both leaders would hash out a ceasefire agreement, with Theodore Kurita surprisingly acknowledging that those captured worlds now belonged to the Davions, in exchange for the return of the bodies of fallen DCMS soldiers and cessasion of hostilities.
    • Speaking of Marduk, a holovid would later show Victor Davion, in his "Promethius" Dire Wolf, fighting alongside a Sagittaire (piloted by Arthur Davion, who had also dropped the Steiner surname), and a Templar Omnimech, whose pilot was unknown at that time.  Said pilot was later revealed to be Peter Steiner-Davion, who had come out of retirement to support his older brother.   After the conclusion of the Marduk War, Peter Steiner-Davion would travel to the ARDC and join the Kell Hounds, with Victor gifting him a new Templar Omnimech as a farewell present.
  • Prior to the end of both wars, the Kokuryu-Kai finally made their move to attack the Coordinator himself.  However, their plan was discovered by the ISF, and when the assassins made their attempt on the Coordinator's life, they were thwarted, with those assassins either dead or badly injured.  However, the ISF did not realize there are other targets besides the Coordinator, until it was too late; Theodore Kurita  escaped with his life, but his daughter Omi was killed by members of those assassins.  On the other hand, those assassins that ended Omi's life were captured by the ISF, and soon subjected to torture, partly in order to gain information, and partly for revenge.

After the cessation of hostilities, the ISF and O5P would then only notice that Minoru Kurita has disappeared as well.  Despite conducting intense searches and questioning of captured Kokuryu-Kai assassins, the Kuritan intelligence agencies were unable to locate him.  It would not be until 3065 where a hand-written letter somehow made its way to the Coordinator; the letter mainly states that Minoru has gone on a mystical journey, and asked not to worry about him.  At that point, a highly exasperated Theodore Kurita can only shake his head in frustration.

3062-3063 in the rest of the Inner Sphere:
Nondi Steiner suffered a heart attack in early 3062, and though she survived, it is clear that she was getting strained by the recent events.  At the urging of her children and her advisors, Nondi appointed Adam Steiner, a renowned war hero, to be her official deputy (although in reality, Adam will handle the duties of the General of the Armies, while Nondi could focus more on the political side of her Regency).  Seeing the Jade Falcons as the primary threat to the Lyran Alliance, Adam Steiner made an agreement with Morgan Kell that would keep the ARDC independent from Lyran internal affairs, in exchange for helping defend against their common enemy.  Adam also moved more units to the Melissia Theatre, in order to further dissuade any Jade Falcon adventurisms, and managed to convince Caesar Steiner to resign from the SLDF, and take command of the Melissia Theater, becoming its Margrave; Caesar was succeeded by his hand-picked successor, Archer Christifori.

Year 3064 Developments
Early 3064: Trials in Tukayyid
The year of 3064 began with the formal trial of Katrina Steiner on charges of matricide.  Initially, the imprisoned Archon was very confident that she would come out victorious, due to her vast knowledge of the legal system.  However, even with a cadre of high-priced lawyers at her side, every attempt to defend herself has blown up in her face, and after four months of failures, found herself in danger of being convicted. Just as it seemed that all hope was lost, her salvation came in the form of a Clan Wolf armada's appearance in the Tukayyid system, which consisted of the CWS Dire Wolf and several other Waships , as well as various jumpships.  Khan Vladimir Ward, who was aboard the CWS Dire Wolf, declared an ultimatum; he demanded a Trial of Possession be held with Katrina Steiner as the prize, or else he would bring the full wrath of Clan Wolf against the Star League forces in Tukayyid.  After intense negotations, it was agreed upon that Clan Wolf's Alpha Galaxy would face off against ComStar's Invader Galaxy in the area outside the city of Skupo, with the Trial being held 20 days from the Wolves' arrival.  The ensuing Trial saw both sides fought brutally against each other, with Alpha Galaxy eventually winning in the end.  As a result, Katrina Steiner was transferred to the CWS Dire Wolf, and the Clan Wolf forces retreated back to their occupation zone.  The immediate rammifications of these events are as follows:
  • In the Federated Suns, the irate First Prince Victor Davion used the trial results as a way to vindicate his and his officers' actions in arresting his treasonous sister, painting her as a "wolf in sheep's clothing".  This view was shared by many FedSun citizens, especially after a video clip was shared in FedSun space, which showed Katherine (Katrina) Steiner-Davion haughtily sauntering into the arms of Khan Vladimir Ward.
  • In the Lyran Alliance, anarchy and riots once again flared up, especially in the Skye Province.  The Estates General officially (and frantically) confirmed Nondi Steiner as the new Archon, while Adam Steiner officially became the new General of the Armies; he and the LAAF then began purging from its ranks any officer that had shown even an ounce of loyalty to the fallen Archon.  Once again, the ARDC and Coventry Province as a whole were spared from the violence; instead, the forces in there are preparing for a possible attack from the Jade Falcons, who have become more aggressive after their victory in the Hegira War.
    • There was one notable exception. In the planet of Coventry, the First Coventry Jaegers tried to follow Katrina into Clan Wolf space, but were attacked by Kristen's Krushers, while supported by the Bakanekos, a mercenary unit that has spent time fighting in the Clan border front; the Jaegers were virtually destroyed by the mercenaries, with only 14 Coventry Jaegers infantrymen surviving the onslaught.

Mid-3064: Clan battles
  • As expected, Khan Marthe Pryde and the Jade Falcons made their move to Lyran space, invading the Melissia Theatre just north of the ARDC.  While initially capturing several planets in the first wave, the Falcons faced increasingly heavier defenses and suffered heavier casualties as they continued their push towards Melissia.  By the time the invaders reached the Theatre Capitol, their offensive had stalled.  That was when a task force consisting of SLDF, ARDC, and Lyran units, and led by Archer Christifori, executed Operation Audacity, re-taking the captured worlds while crushing any Jade Falcon garrison forces encountered, as well as cutting off the invaders' supply line; most notable losses include the warships Black Talon and White Talon (both were captured by Clan Wolf-in-Exile).  Faced with this situation, Khan Marthe Pryde and her remaining forces retreated from Melissia and escaped through the Periphery, before returning to the invasion corridor.  But rather than lick their wounds from the unsuccessful expedition, Khan Marthe Pryde redirected her restless warriors' aggression towards the Clan Wolf invasion corridor, as their neighboring Crusader Clan was also dealing with reprisal attacks from the Ghost Bears.
  • Besides Clan Wolf, the forces of Clan Hell's Horses in Endagin, Stanzach, and Voralberg were also the target of the Ghost Bears' ire; the ensuing battles led to all three worlds being captured by the Ghost Bears, and subsequently ejected the Hell's Horses from the Inner Sphere.  At this point, the Horse Warriors begin to see Malavai Fletcher as unfit to rule as Khan.

Other Clan Developments
  • Clan Diamond Shark and Clan Nova Cat would begin Operation SWEEP in early 3064, which involved invading select planets and areas in the Chainelane Isles.  Clan Diamond Shark focused mainly on the Chaine Cluster and Far Reach , while Clan Nova Cat would focus on Idrmach and Syrstart, as well as a naval expedition to Paran (once again, due to a vision).
  • At the same time, a Clan Snow Raven expeditionary fleet would reach the Outworld Alliance.  After the Alliance fighter pilots surprised and impressed the Snow Ravens by winning a Trial of Possession for a Jumpship, this led to the Snow Ravens offering their hand in friendship, that eventually led to a make-shift alliance between both factions.
    • A fairly small Clan Nova Cat delegation (in a single jumpship) also joined the Snow Raven expeditionary fleet, and after reaching the Outworlds Alliance, made its way towards the Federated Suns; eventually, they reached New Avalon, where they were allowed to establish an embassy in the planet.  Besides acting as emmisaries for the Nova Cats, the delegation also acted as liasons for the Snow Ravens expeditionary fleet, ensuring peaceful relations between the two sides.

Late 3064: The Third Whitting Conference and a New First Lord
Held in Marik, the Third Whitting Conference resulted in Christian Månsdottir stepped down as First Lord, with the selection of his successor rife with quiet tension.  Surprisingly, Nondi Steiner, Victor Davion and Theodore Kurita declined to nominate themselves, appearing to leave the door open for "Thomas Marik" to become the First Lord.  However, that opportunity dissipated after Duchess Candace Allard-Liao was nominated for the position of First Lord by Victor Davion, and seconded by Nondi Steiner and the other leaders, with the exception of Sun-Tzu Liao.  With a majority vote, Candace Allard-Liao becomes the new First Lord of the Star League.  However, "Thomas Marik" manage to get the other leaders to admit the Word of Blake Protectorate and Taurian Concordat as provisional members, under the sponsorship of the Free Worlds League and Capellan Confederation, respectively.
  • Prior to the conference itself, Victor Davion and Anastasius Focht  met privately with Theodore Kurita.  It was during the meeting that the First Prince would learn of the Ghost Bear-Combine War, and the personal losses that the Coordinator had suffered at the hands of the Kokuryu-Kai; Victor was clearly saddened by the loss of Omi, and given the recent hostilities between their realms, could only offer his condolences, in which the Coordinator graciously accepted.  Theodore also warned Victor that Hohiro Kurita, Theodore's son and heir, has become colder and distant, and maybe becoming more of a traditionalist Kurita, which would not bode well for the future of both the Draconis Combine and the Federated Suns.
  • Isis Marik would also make an appearance in the conference, to the surprise of "Thomas Marik", Sun-Tzu Liao, and others (except Victor Davion).  She then provided evidence that further implicated Sun-Tzu Liao as the aggressor in the Capellan-St. Ives conflict, and also exposed the Capellan Chancellor's extra-marital affairs (with other men).  This led to the censure of Sun-Tzu Liao, with "Thomas Marik" no longer in the mood of any alliance of sorts between the Free Worlds League and Capellan Confederation.  However, Isis Marik refused to return to the Free Worlds League, and when "Thomas Marik" threatened her with disownment, she replied in three simple words; "Go #v(& Yourself!" .  After the conference, Isis would stay in the St. Ives Compact for a few months, before moving on to her new home in New Avalon.

Year 3065  Events
Clan Developments
  • Clan Wolf made a deal with the Ghost Bears, trading away several contested worlds in their invasion corridor, including Rasalhague, in exchange for a halt in hostilities.  Afterwards, the Wolves would turn their attention to the Jade Falcons, who had captured several planets and are poised to attack Tamar.  Fighting with sheer ferocity, Clan Wolf forces pushed backed the Jade Falcons all the way to their invasion corridor border, resulting in both Clans suffering heavy loses.  An uneasy ceasefire soon followed, as both Clans had to rebuild their forces.
  • Clan Steel Viper raided Lum, Clan Snow Raven's  homeworld.  Led by saKhan Natalie Breen, the Steel Viper forces beseiged the planet for five weeks, plundering a great deal of supplies before the Snow Ravens forced them to retreat.  During the retreat, the dropship carrying the saKhan was destroyed, leaving no survivors.  Nicole Hoskins would take over as saKhan of the Steel Vipers afterwards.
  • Sellen Cage's time as the Khan of the Ice Hellions, while more successful than her predecessor, was short-lived.  During her leadership, her Clan made limited gains, and were more effective defensively.  However, she died in July during a Trial of Possession against Clan Cloud Cobra in Tanis, though her forces prevailed in the end.  She was succeeded by Raina Montose, with Connor Rood as the new saKhan of  Clan Ice Hellion.
  • After returning to the Kerensky Cluster, Malavai Fletcher was challenged by James Cobb for the Khanship of Clan Hell's Horses.  The ensuing Trial of Possession, which was fought with sabers, ended with Cobb killing the incumbent Khan in an unconventional way; by shoving his saber up Fletcher's ass, thus claiming the Khanship of the Hell's Horses.  With the help of incumbent saKhan Tanya DeLaurel, the new Khan purged the leadership of any Crusader-aligned forces, returning the Clan into the Warden fold.  At the same time, trade talks between the Hell's Horses and other Warden Clans increased.
  • In an unusual trade, Clan Diamond Shark gained ownership of the Twycross system from Clan Jade Falcon; in exchange, the Jade Falcons will gain the enclaves in Lum that were once owned by the Sharks, as well as some supplies.
  • The expedition in the Paran system by the Clan Nova Cat led to the recovery of the SLS Pioneer, an old and derelict Avatar-class Warship, which was later upgraded and converted into a Liberator-class Warship, although the Paran system and its people were left to their own devices.
  • In Thun, the retreating 3rd Drakons were "rescued" by the First Rasalhague Bears Cluster from the pursuing Clan Wolf forces, though the Inner Sphere unit would suffer the loss of its commanding officer, Overste Joan Dahlstrom, during the retreat.  While the presence of Star Colonel Ragnar (formerly of Magnusson), the commander of the Cluster,  prevented open fighting between the Bears and the 3rd Drakons, there were still hostilities between the two sides; this was settled through several "Trials" involving lots and lots of alcohol.  The 3rd Drakons were eventually able to return to the Free Rasalhague Republic, with its surviving members returning with major hangovers, and one of them somehow getting married to an Elemental.  The surviving 3rd Drakons also returned to FRR space with a message from Ragnar himself.
  • Ranna Kerensky found herself pregnant again in March; Phelan Kell soon found himself banished to the couch (or its Clan equivalent) for the next few weeks, before being allowed near Ranna again.  A few months later, Ranna would give birth to a girl named Selena.

Inner Sphere Developments
  • Two years after it was delayed due to the Marduk War, the Federated Suns launched Operation Tortuga (i.e. the capture and annexation of the Tortuga Dominion, as well as the elimination of pirates residing there).  Beside the AFFS, the FedSun forces were supported by an aerospace contingent from the AMC and Clan Snow Raven, who shared the same goal of taking out the pirates.  The campaign started in March and was completed in April, with all of the objectives completed; also, all the pirate leaders were killed/executed, a majority of the pirates were dead or fought to the death, with the rest surrendered early and faced lifetime imprisonment.  The AFFS formally claimed the Tortuga Dominion (which was renamed the Tortuga Region) as part of the Federated Suns, while the AMC/Snow Ravens claimed any Jumpships they captured as isorla, before returning to the Outworlds Alliance space.  The ensuing reduction in piracy also fulfilled a promise made by Victor Davion to the Federated Suns, when he first became its First Prince.
  • First Prince Victor Davion married Isis (formerly of House Marik) later that year, who formally changed her name to Isis Davion.  The wedding was held in New Avalon (with HIGHLY increased security); unlike his late father's wedding, Victor's is more traditional and more private.
  • Anastascious Focht retired from ComStar, and is succeeded by Gavin Dow as Precentor Martial.
  • After dealing with another heart attack, Nondi Steiner realized that she needs to name a heir soon, and she is torn between her son Ivan, or Adam Steiner; while Adam has proven himself to be an adept military man, Ivan is more experienced with politics.  She would wrestle with this decision for the rest of the year.  However, Nondi made one more powerplay move to ensure that the Lyran realm remains stable, directing Loki agents to assassinate Free Skye leader Robert Kwelsa-Steiner; the assassination goes successfully, and without its leader, the Free Skye movement flounders and is rendered harmless for the time being.
  • Jamie Wolf formally created the Allied Mercenary Command, to counter the Blakist expansion in the Chaos March; besides the Wolf's Dragoons, the other founding members were the Northwind Highlanders and the Dismal Disinherited.
  • In a secret deal between the Word of Blake and the Taurian Concordat (specifically Lord Protector Grover Shraplen), the Word of Blake agreed to sell 5 refurbished Pinto-class corvettes to the Taurian Concordat at discounted prices; the ships would arrive by 3067.  Combined with signing on as part of the Trinity Alliance, Shraplen's ego soared higher than before, as well as his paranoia against the Federated Suns.
  • Three years after taking the reins of Free Capella, and using it to gain info about those who were involved in the death of his father, Treyhang Liao hired the assassin known as the "Dancing Joker" to kill Kali Liao, who was currently exiled in Highspire.  After several months of careful planning, the "Dancing Joker" killed Kali Liao by staging an accident that used Kali Liao's own nerve gas against her, as well as killing several Thuggee cultists as a bonus.  However, he was unable to get away from Kali's furious Thuggee followers, and despite his efforts, eventually met his demise at the hands of a Thuggee assassin.
    • Treyhang Liao would later slightly redirect the Free Capella movement; rather than focusing on unseating Sun-Tzu Liao as Chancellor, the Free Capella would focus on defending St. Ives from Capellan aggression.

Year 3066  Events
Clan Developments
  • Clan Blood Spirit expedition fleet discovered Colleen system, begins colonization of planets Honor and Haven.
  • Clan Snow Raven began the refurbishment of the Quatre Belle Naval Yards in the Outworlds Alliance.
  • Clan Steel Viper, Clan Cloud Cobra, and Clan Star Adder began secret negotiations that would lead to the eventual creation of the "Snake Alliance".
  • Guided by a vision (which involved snakes and fire), Clan Nova Cat began making plans and preparations to leave the Kerensky Cluster, with Syrstart and Idrmach slowly being converted into staging bases.  They also traded their Bearclaw enclaves to Clan Snow Raven for aerospace assets, and also arranged a series of "Trials of Possession" with Clan Blood Spirits and Clan Fire Mandrill for their enclaves in Brim, Hoard and Gatekeeper; while the Nova Cats "lost" all of the trials, the victorious forces allowed the Nova Cats to evacuate their civilians as well, as part of their pre-Trial agreement.

Inner Sphere Developments
  • The Free Worlds League was thrown in disarray when an apparent misjump in January led to the death  of "Thomas Marik".  Though Corrine Marik, the daughter of Minister of Intelligence Paul Marik, was quickly sworn in as the League's new Captain-General, it was barely enough to keep the League together, and nearly fell into civil war.  By the end of the year, the leadership of the Free Worlds League is no longer centralized around House Marik, and had to make deals with the rising powers of the Duchy of Andurien, the Duchy of Oriente, the Duchy of Orloff, and the Principality of Regulus, in order to keep the unity of the League
  • Victoria Parrdeau, Precentor ROM of ComStar, was assassinated by what appeared to be Blakist ROM operatives (in reality, a group of ComStar ROM agents discovered her Blakist sympathies, and took it upon themselves to get rid of the problem).  While this forced ComStar to finally purge their organization of any Blakist infliltrators at the expense of a reduced intelligence network and personnel, this also ensures that their next actions would not be compromised.  Anastacious Focht would temporarily come out of retirement to act as Precentor Rom, before Elise MacTaggart would take over a few months later.
  • After talking to both Ivan Steiner and Adam Steiner, Nondi ultimately chose the current LAAF General of the Armies as her successor.  The succession will commence in the following year.
  • Upon independence, Fronc Reaches gained official recognition from ComStar, Free Rasalhague Republic, Lyran Alliance, Federated Suns, and the Outworlds Alliance.  This also led to the secession of several Taurian worlds to form the Calderon Protectorate, which was led by Marshal Baron Cham Kithrong and Erik Martens-Calderon.

Year 3067 Events
Kerensky Cluster
  • Clan Blood Spirit begins transferring more assets to the hidden system of Colleen
  • Grand Council of the Clans began debating the next step after the Truce of Tukayyid expires.  Some want to restart the invasion of the Inner Sphere, others not so much, but there are also those with other agendas in mind.
  • Clan Hell's Horses gain complete possession of Tiber, capturing many former Clan Wolf enclaves.  However, the Hell's Horses opted to just keep the technicians and scientist caste that were captured, and traded the rest to Clan Coyote for additional supplies, putting Tiber under complete Coyote control.  Afterwards, the Hell's Horses began preparations for their return to the Inner Sphere, using Nouveaux Paris as their staging base.
  • Clan Diamond Shark accelerates timetable for Operation SWEEP by deploying more units; conquest of Chaine Cluster completed by the end of the year, while Far Reach was conquered by the following year.

Inner Sphere
  • After the formation of the Calderon Protectorate, Grover Shraplen sent forces to recapture the wayward worlds, but the combined fanatic response of the Protectorate defenders and the lack of motivation from invading forces made progress virtually non-existent; at the same time, Marshal Baron Cham Kithrong's friends and contacts in the TDF continually hamper and stymie Shraplen's efforts to retake the breakaway worlds.
  • Theodore Kurita suffered a heart attack in August 3067, and spent the rest of the year recuperating.  Hohiro Kurita temporarily assumed leadership of the Draconis Combine, until his father recovers.
  • Lyran Alliance goes through change in leadership; Nondi Steiner steps down as Archon, and is succeeded by Adam Steiner.  Caesar Steiner becomes the new General of the Armies.  Peter Steiner-Davion, at Adam's request and Morgan Kell's approval, takes over as Margrave of the Melissia Theatre.  Arch-Duke Morgan Kell also formally reintegrates the Arc-Royal Defense Cordon planets back into the Lyran Alliance.
  • Several mercenaries composed of Waco Rangers, Smithson's Chinese Bandits, the 51st Dark Panzer Jaegers, and the Tiger Sharks, launched a well-coordinated assault of Outreach, the home planet of the Wolf's Dragoons.  Facing of against the attackers were the Dragoon's own Wolf Spiders Battalion, Zeta Battalion, Beta and Epsilon regiments.  The Dragoons were further supported by pro-Dragoon forces such as Ace Darwin's Whipits, Battle Magic, and others.  The ensuing heavy fighting led to the attackers being completely wiped out, but also the complete destruction of several mercenary units, as well as the Dragoons' Home Guard and Epsilon regiment, and the death of Jaime Wolf.  The Dragoons' intelligence arm, Wolfnet, would later confirm that it was the Word of Blake that hired the mercenaries to attack Outreach.  Besides rebuilding, plans were being made to make the Blakists pay.
  • The Fourth Whitting Conference was held in Tharkad in December 3067.  Besides Adam Steiner, the other new members were Hohiro Kurita, who was representing the Combine in place of his still-recovering father, and Corrine Marik, who was representing the Free Worlds League.  Cracks begin to show on the Star League, as Hohiro Kurita and  Sun-Tzu Liao made their intentions to pull their respective realms out of Star League.  Outgoing First Lord Candace Allard-Liao was forced to call for a vote of no-confidence, gambling on the fact that the other member states would defeat the measure.  Prior to voting, the measure was opposed by both halves of the former FedCom, St. Ives Compact, Free Worlds League, ComStar, and the Word of Blake; on the other hand, the Capellan and Kuritan votes were in favor of no-confidence, while the Taurian and Rasalhague votes are undecided.  The Taurian vote ended up in favor of no-confidence (just to stick it to the Federated Suns), but was rendered moot after ComStar was able to gain the Rasalhague vote.  Hence, the no-confidence vote was squashed.  Voting for a new First Lord was also nearly stalled due to the Kuritan, Capellan, and Taurian leaders walking out in disgust over the failed no-confidence vote; after much negotiations, the remaining representatives agreed to extend Candace Allard-Liao's term as First Lord, until the next Whitting Conference in 3070.
    • The Kokuryu-Kai initially planned on invading the Imperial City in Luthien, expecting the dissolution of the Second Star League.  Since that did not happen, those plans were cancelled.

Year 3068 Events
The Clans
  • After much deliberation and voting in the Grand Council, it was decided that the Great Refusal was to be upheld, for now.  The primary forces that opposed the overturning of the Great Refusal were the Warden Clans, although they knew that it won't be long before this issue pops up again.
  • Snow Ravens captured Rezak's Hole and Antallos, completely annihilating any pirate activity, and intending to use said planets to secure the path towards the Outworlds Alliance.  Some thought was considered in raiding Kazanka for yttrium, but the Snow Ravens opted not to follow through with that idea, as they would rather minimize their presence from the Combine as much as possible.
  • Trials between the Jade Falcons and Steel Vipers have become more vicious, as zellbringen seems to be discarded when their respective forces collide.
  • To help speed up their preparations, Clan Hell's Horses made deals with other Clans, eventually resulting in Niles being their lone planet. They are as follows:
    • Clan Coyote - in exchange for a major amount of supplies, the Coyotes gain full ownership of Kirin.
    • Clan Snow Raven - in exchange for compact mobile shipyard, the Snow Ravens gain the former Horse enclaves in Bearclaw, thus gaining full possession of the planet.
    • Clan Diamond Shark - in exchange for supplies, the Sharks gain full control of Strato Domingo.
    • In addition, Clan Hell's Horses staged a couple of Trials of Possession with two other Clans, in order to help cover-up their migration plans:
      • with Clan Ice Hellion - lost a Trial of Possession for Clan Hell's Horses enclaves in Hoard.
      • with Clan Goliath Scorpion - lost a Trial of Possession for Clan Hell's Horses enclaves in Tokasha.
  • Clan Blood Spirit won several Trials of Possession against Clan Snow Raven, gaining the latter's whole Zeta Galaxy, a Warship (renamed CBS Red Raven), and enclaves in Bearclaw.  A secret deal between the two Clans would lead to Clan Snow Raven gaining access to the hidden Colleen system, while Clan Blood Spirit gains more enclaves in Bearclaw;  in the meantime, the Blood Spirit Zeta Galaxy was transferred to Bearclaw to garrison the newly-gained enclaves and get the new galaxy acclimated to their situation.

Outworlds Alliance
With the help of the MIIO agents, the Outworlds Alliance Intelligence discovered that the planet of Dante had become a haven for pirates and Blakist partisans. Knowing that any significant military action would leave a bad mark on both President Mitchell Avellar and his new allies due to the Omniss presence in the planet, the Outworlds Alliance ruler had to spend a month discussing with the Snow Ravens on how to deal with the situation.  In the end, a solution was found; the Snow Ravens would blockade Dante with their own naval forces, but at the same time not setting foot on the planet itself.  However, any dropship that leaves Dante would be intercepted and subjected to a thorough inspection, as well as any Jumpship that entered the system.

Concordant-Protectorate War
With his attempts to invade the Calderon Protectorate going nowhere, Grover Shraplen publicly threatened the breakaway state with his Pinto Warships, as well as a sizable invasion force, hoping to cow the Calderon Protectorate into submission.  However, the Protectorate leaders sought and gained help from the unlikeliest of allies, the Federated Suns, with  First Prince Victor Davion offering to mediate between the two sides of the Concordat.   Lord Protector Grover Shraplen, furious by  this "interference", responded by redirecting the Pintos,  along with a major invading force, into Federated Suns territory, hoping to not only make  the Federated Suns pay for said "interference", but also "liberate" former Taurian planets.
  • However, the AFFS was more than ready to counter any Taurian aggression.  Four out of the five TDF Pintos were completely destroyed by the AFFS navy, while one Pinto and its crew defected to the Calderon Protectorate before even reaching Davion space.  Also, 90% of the TDF invading forces were killed, with the survivors captured.  While the AFFS did suffer losses, the only notable damage that the invaders did was the destruction of several AFFS Fox Corvettes.
  • The failed invasion and the defection of the only survivng Taurian Pinto Warship (which was later renamed the TCS Independence) into the Calderon Protectorate not only gave a major blow to Grover Shraplen's hold of the Taurian Concordat, but also strengthened the Calderon Protectorate side.  With help from the AFFS (which came in the form of lending the mercenary units Hansen's Roughriders, Lexington Combat Group, and the Fighting Urukhai to the Protectorate leaders, as well as providing humanitarian aid), Marshal Baron Cham Kithrong and Erik Martens-Calderon then began a counter-invasion, and combined with many TDF units defecting to the Calderon Protectorate forces, led to many Taurian worlds liberated from the mad Lord Protector's control, until the planet of Taurus was captured by the Taurian VI Corps.  After narrowly foiling a scorched-earth plot by Shraplen's partisans (which involved nuclear mines), Grover Shraplen and his planetside allies (including known anti-Davionist Boris Tharn) were captured,  charged with a litany of crimes which included attempted genocide, and were subjected to public execution (via old-fashioned guillotine, despite the high demand for the "shotgun-on-both-ends" execution style from Taurian citizens).  The ascension of Erik Martens-Calderon as the Taurian Concordat's Protector of the Realm effectively ended the Concordat-Protectorate War, with the Calderon Protectorate worlds formally being reintegrated into the Taurian Concordat.  With the help of his mentor and new Prime Minister Cham Kithrong, Erik Martens-Calderon began undoing the damage that Grover Shraplen had done, which includes pulling the Concordat out of the Trinity Alliance, and signing a free-trade agreement with the Federated Suns, who agreed to help rebuild the periphery realms' economy, and a bit of its military; on the other hand, any surviving invading Taurians that the AFFS had detained as POWs were returned to the Concordat, as a gesture of goodwill.  Luckily for Erik, while damage to the Concordat's defense industries during the fighting was heavy, the situation was still salvagable enough to prevent the TDF from being completely defenseless against pirates.

Rest of the Inner Sphere
  • ComStar secretly made contact with the Wolf's Dragoons, and managed to get a contract with them; this also led to the Wolf's Dragoons cancelling their planned counter-strike to Mars, and instead focused on punishing Word of Blake forces in the Chaos March, alongside with the rest of their AMC allies.
    • While the Word of Blake was kept busy by the AMC, as well as dealing with the fallout from the deaths of "Thomas Marik" and Victoria Parrdeau, ComStar reinforced their defenses in their secret Naval Bases in Ross 248 and Luyten 68-28, having learned of imminent Blakist attacks from their ROM agents.  In the ensuing Blakist warship attacks on both bases, both ComStar and Blakists forces used nuclear weapons freely, resulting in heavy damage on both sides; however, none of the Word of Blake warships survived, and both Naval Bases were still in ComStar's hands.
    • Leveraging ComStar's economic advantage to its maximum effect, and with the help of the SLDF, the Terracap Confederation worlds of Capolla and Terra Firma became ComStar's new home planets in the Chaos March;  the 21st Striker and 19th Cavalry  Regiments of the ELH were transfered from Dieron to garrison the two worlds, supported by various AMC, SLDF, and ComStar forces.
    • ComStar's Primus, Sharilar Mori was diagnosed with Kilen Watts Syndrome in late May, which would eventually lead to her death a few months later.  In the meantime, she would ruthlessly groom Gavin Dow to be her eventual successor, with Anastasius Focht coming out of retirement, again, to take over as Precentor-Martial; but not before gaining a new aide in Lisa Koenigs-Cober.  At this point, Focht wondered whether he could retire at all.
  • After Theodore Kurita learned of Hohiro's antics at last year's Whitting Conference, he chewed him out accordingly, before re-taking leadership of the Combine.  During the remainder of the year, the Coordinator focused on keeping the peace between his realm and the other neighboring powers, as well as continually rebuilding his forces, and for good reason; according to his intelligence network, the Federated Suns had only gotten stronger economically and militarily, due to Victor Davion's reforms, with the Taurian invasion not even making a minor dent in the AFFS' overall strength;  Also, besides the Ghost Bears, the Snow Ravens seem to be making themselves at home in the Outworlds Alliance.  It also doesn't help that while the DCMS has improved significantly, its Warship strength shrunk due to the war against the Ghost Bears, and the DCMS leadership was still dominated by traditionalists.
    • Speaking of traditionalists, the Kokuryu-Kai attempted another assassination attempt by detonating three nuclear warheads inside a LAW facility, where the Coordinator was supposed to be touring.  Too bad they blew up the wrong facility, reducing the LAW Omnimech Production Facility and LAW City to rubble, while Theodore Kurita was touring the LAW's New Samarkand facility.  The bombing also inflicted major damage on the other LAW facilities.  The loss of their primary facilities in Luthien forced LAW to upgrade its other facilities, starting with New Samarkand.
  • After several months of negotiations, the Ghost Bear Dominion and the Free Rasalhague Republic signed the Ueda Accords; part non-aggression pact and part free-trade agreement, the Ueda Accords increased trade relations between the two entities, and also left room for further negotiations down the road.  A strange clause in the accord allowed for the Kungsarme to cross the FRR-Dominion border and conduct Trials against Ghost Bear forces, provided that zellbringen is followed by both sides, although no Ghost Bear forces would be allowed to cross the border; it is believed that this provision was made to allow the hotheads of both signatories' respective militaries to blow off some steam.
  • Despite the rising power blocs in the Free Worlds League parliament, Corinne Marik managed to keep the Free Worlds League united under House Marik; this all fell apart when her father, Paul Marik, along with Word of Blake forces and their symphatizers, made a coup attempt during a parliamentary session.  In the ensuing brutal battles, many parliamentary representatives were killed, but Corrine escapes capture and manages to leave Atreus.  Paul Marik assumes Captain-General position of Free Worlds League.

@Shadow Wraith -Thank you.  I still have several more posts to go; hopefully, they'll be just as enjoyable as well.

@Dragon Cat - Thank you.  By the way, I tried clicking on your AU links, but they don't seem to work.

Now... to continue the show.....

Year 3069 Events
The Kerensky Cluster
  • After deeming the new Zeta Galaxy ready to go, and using the Bearclaw enclaves' resources to help rearm their touman, Clan Blood Spirit struck at the Star Adder enclaves in Arcadia, capturing all of the Star Adder assets.  Afterwards, the Blood Spirits used their new strength and the CBS Red Raven to attack  the Adder forces on York, destroying a Star Adder Warship (CSA Constantineau) in the process, as it tried to block the incoming Blood Spirit forces.
    • Clan Blood Spirit finished off the year by gaining a foothold on the Star Adder's  Albion enclaves, capturing a local Chrysaor plant, and devastating the 343rd Adder Sentinels, as well as destroying the 87th Adder Dragoons.
  • Like the Clan Nova Cat, Clan Diamond Shark began relocating most of their assets out of the Kerensky Cluster; Elite units were transferred to Twycross and the Chainelane Cluster, while deals were made with smaller Clans in exchange for additional naval transport assets.
  • Clan Steel Viper was once again on the warpath, launching multiple Trials of Possessions against Jade Falcon holdings in the Kerensky Cluster.  At the same time, both Clan Star Adder and Clan Cloud Cobra, the Steel Vipers' "unofficial" allies,  launched their own limited Trials of Possessions against the Jade Falcons, stretching the latter's touman to the limit.  By the end of the year, the Jade Falcons are barely holding on to their remaining enclaves in Lum, Strana Mechty, and Huntress.  Only Ironhold was firmly in Jade Falcon hands.
  • In Arcadia, the Khans of the Ghost Bears, Hell's Horses, Diamond Sharks, and Nova Cats began a series of meetings, that would eventually lead to the so-called Arcadia Accords; these mainly involved a peace treaty between the Hell's Horses and the Ghost Bears, and details regarding the four Clans' exodus from the Kerensky Cluster.  Though Clan Snow Raven isn't a signatory member, they know that if the Accords are activated, it is time for them to leave Clan Space as well.
  • Though having technically concluded their campaign against Clan Wolf in the Kerensky Cluster two years ago, the Hell's Horses launched one final Trial of Possession against Clan Wolf, successfully capturing one more significant prize; a rather aggressive but formidable warrior named Quinn Kerensky.
  • Near the end of the year, the Clan Grand Council convened in Strana Mechty.  Once again, the issue of the Great Refusal was raised; however, the issue was shelved temporarily, when the Warden Clans demanded that an ilKhan must first be elected in a year's time.  That requirement was agreed upon, with only the Jade Falcons disputing the idea, though they did not demand a Trial of Grievance.

Inner Sphere
  • Despite the troubles in the Kerensky Cluster, Jade Falcon Khan Marthe Pryde was still keen on invading the Lyran Alliance, again.  However, in April 3069, a lone Jumpship carrying Nondi Steiner appeared in Sudeten, and Nondi challenged the Falcons to a Trial of Possession for the planet of Sudeten, bidding only herself and her 'mech (a modified Hauptmann with Clan-spec weapons).  Surprised and impressed by the moxy of the former Archon, Khan Marthe Pryde personally answered the challenge, along with her Summoner.  In the ensuing duel, the Jade Falcon Khan clearly dominated her opponent, using her Summoner's mobility to run circles around the geriatric former Archon's Hauptmann.  However, before biting the dust, Nondi's alpha-strike parting shot hit the Summoner's leg while in mid-air, damaging it enough to cause the 'mech to fall hard upon landing.  Though Marthe Pryde would survive, the neural feedback damage that she suffered would render her comatose, resulting in Samantha Clees taking over temporarily as Khan of the Jade Falcons.
  • In the middle of 3069, Gavin Dow, the new Primus of ComStar, held a meeting in Tukayyid with Victor Davion, Adam Steiner, Candace Allard-Liao, and Christian Mansdottir (this meeting was known as the first Tukayyid Conference).  In the meeting, they agreed that there's a high likelyhood of the Star League not surviving after the next Whitting Conference, and instead discussed possible plans moving forward should the Star League fall, and though nothing concrete was agreed upon, they agreed to meet again the next year to further discuss their future plans.

Fun time  azn

Year 3070: Lighting the fuse
  • Blaming the Snow Ravens for their recent losses to the Blood Spirits (as many of the Blood Spirits' equipment and personnel were former Snow Raven assets), the Star Adders sought revenge and deployed their Delta Naval Star to declare a Trial of Possession for the space surrounding the planet Lum, which was defended by the Lum Garrison Fleet.  The ensuing naval battle led to heavy losses on both sides, before the Star Adders retreated.
    • Clan Goliath Scorpion's Beta Naval Star would later make a trip to Lum themselves, declaring a Trial of Possession for the orbiting Lum Naval Yards. Despite bidding virtually everything, the defending Snow Ravens forces were defeated, with half of the shipyards destroyed.  The Goliath Scorpions quickly began to strip the undamaged sections of the yard for transport to their world of Roche, but left the planet of Lum to the Snow Ravens.
    • After the Lum naval battles, as well as the later activation of the Arcadian Accords, the Snow Ravens knew that their time in the Kerensky Cluster was up, and began their own evacuation process.  Their plan involves splitting the evacuation fleet in two, with one half heading to Ghent, while the other half making their way to the hidden system of Colleen.  Lum and Bearclaw were chosen as mustering points.
  • A Trial of Possession between Clan Nova Cat and Clan Fire Mandrill (specifically Kindraa Sainze) resulted in the Mandrills gaining possession of the Nova Cats' Barcella enclaves, although the victorious side granted hegira to Clan Nova Cat forces.  This leaves the Nova Cats with their enclaves in Vinton as the only remaining possession in the Kerensky Cluster (having given the others in earlier arranged "Trials").  On the other hand, the victorious Kindraa Sainze found that their prestige improved significantly.

Inner Sphere
  • Coordinator Theodore Kurita escaped another assassination attempt in mid-3070, but not before suffering injuries significant enough to sideline him, once again resulting in Hohiro taking leadership of the Combine in his father's stead.  At first, Theodore suspected that it was the Black Dragon Society (Kokuryu-Kai) that was behind the latest attempt, but a small part of him also suspected that Hohiro may had a hand as well.  Unable to do anything for now, all Theodore could do his recover, and hope that Hohiro doesn't do anything stupid.
  • ⦁   A month after the attempted assassination of Theodore Kurita, the Second Tukayyid Conference was held.  Besides the ComStar Primus and  the previous participants, this conference was also surprisingly attended by the Ghost Bear Khans, courtesy of being invited by both the FRR and ComStar.  In the conference, the Inner Sphere leaders had long realized that the Second Star League would be no more after the 3070 Whitting Conference; while certain Clans might consider continuing the invasion towards Terra, the Ghost Bears assured ComStar and the FRR that they had no such plans, and had other ideas instead.   As a result, deals and plans were made, which could be best summarized as follows:
    • The LAAF would focus on defense, primarily against further Jade Falcon aggressions and from the Free Worlds League front, as well as protecting their realm against any Blakist assault.  As a result, defense of key planets such as Hesperus II, Alarion, and Coventry are to be increased.
    • As soon as the Whitting Conference ends, ComStar would initiate CASE WHITE II, a campaign that would have the ComGuards eventually make their way towards Terra, capturing worlds in the Chaos March as they see fit.  Besides Capolla and Terra Firma, a deal with the Wolf's Dragoons and the remaining members of the AMC led to Outreach becoming another staging point in the campaign.  Another move made earlier was the recalling of the ELH and any SLDF forces back to Tukayyid. While the SLDF units returned with no problems, the ELH lost the majority of 71st Light Horse Regiment to the Goliath Scorpions in an unusual Trial of Possession; apparently, said Trial involved one massive orgy.  The 151st Light Horse Regiment returned to Tukayyid at the end of the year with no incident.
    • Wary of another invasion attempt by Sun-Tzu Liao, the St. Ives Military Command ramped up their defensive preparations, making sure that they would not be taken by surprise this time.  At the same time, there are AFFS units in the Capellan March that stand ready to support the St. Ives Compact's fight for their sovereignty.
    • Besides the Capellan March, the AFFS in the Draconis March stand ready to defend against any Kuritan aggression; the 3062 attack on Robinson had galvanized the AFFS to significantly improve their supply chain, to the point where it could engage enemy attacks in both Marches without significantly straining logistics.
    • The Free Rasalhague Republic and the Ghost Bears agreed on a mutual defense pact, mainly against the Draconis Combine and the Word of Blake.  The pact is rather one-sided; the Kungsarme was primarily intended to be garrisoning and defending the Rasalhague systems, while the Ghost Bear Touman  would focus on defending the Ghost Bear Dominion, AND supporting the FRR forces should the Kungsarme find themselves thoroughly outmatched by their enemy and ONLY if the Kungsarme requested their assistance.
    • Arcadia accords activated; Clan Hell's Horses begin invasion of Clan Wolf Occupation Zone in November (codenamed Operation Black Beauty), while Ghost Bears gear up for planned invasion of Draconis Combine's Irece Prefecture, as well as planning complete withdrawal from Kerensky Cluster.  Clans Nova Cat and Diamond Shark begin final preparations for departure.  Once the DCMS is committed to fighting the Ghost Bears, the Nova Cats would sweep in and invade the Draconis Combine's Bjarred and Albeiro Prefectures, as they intend to make their new home at those locations , using data from the Clan Smoke Jaguar Occupation Zone to help guide them.  In the mean time, the Diamond Sharks would act to ensure that both Clan Hell's Horses and Clan Nova Cat would be well-supplied for their respective campaigns.

3070 Whitting Conference
The Fifth Whitting Conference, held again in Tharkad of December 3070, went as expected.  Both Hohiro Kurita and  Sun-Tzu Liao made their intentions to pull their respective realms out of Star League, and just like before, current First Lord Candace Allard-Liao was forced to call for a vote of no-confidence, albeit in a more resigned way.  The vote passed, not just due to Hohiro and Sun-Tzu; the Taurian Concordat (represented by Baron Cham Kithrong),  wanted to focus on rebuilding the Concordat, while the Free Rasalhague Republic wanted to develop closer ties with the Ghost Bear Dominion.  As a result, the second Star League officially dissolved.

Year 3071: The Big Bang-up on Both Sides
The Clans
  • Marthe Pryde, having recovered enough, would also regain the Khanship of Clan Jade Falcon in January.
  • The Clan Grand Council reconvened in Strana Mechty in late February 3071, for the purpose of electing an ilKhan.  Somehow, in the midst of political wrangling, Khan Garret Sainze of the Fire Mandrill won the ilKhanship.  While certain Clans were still in shock, ilKhan Garret Sainze seized the initiative and addressed the issue of the Great Refusal, having learned of the Second Star League's dissolution.  In a surprising twist, even the "Warden" Clans were in agreement to overturn the Great Refusal, leaving certain Clans (i.e. the Wolves, the Jade Falcons, and the "Snake Alliance")  wary of any nefarious plots.  Nevertheless, a vote was held, and the Great Refusal was overturned.
    • As soon as the Great Refusal was overturned, the Ghost Bears launched Operation Snowstorm, targeting Mualang, Yamarovka, and Itabaiana in the initial invasion, followed by invasions of Kiamba and Kanowit.  Despite attempts by the DCMS to retake the invaded planets, all five of them were firmly under Ghost Bear control by the mid-year.  Asgard and Port Arthur were targeted next, and despite heavy resistance, captured both planets before the end of the year.
      • Two months after the Ghost Bears began Operation Snowstorm, Clan Nova Cat made its return to the Inner Sphere, making a blitzkrieg invasion and capturing the planets Richmond, Idlewind, Rockland, Schwartz, Tarnby, Bjarred, Almunge, Virentofta, Staplefeld, and Turtle Bay in the first three months.  The most notable actions were in Bjarred and in Turtle Bay, where the Nova Cats fought against the Tenth Pesht Regulars and the 2nd, 11th, and 16th Legion of Vega respectively.  The DCMS forces were routed by overwhelming firepower, with only the Tenth Pesht Regulars and 2nd Legion of Vega barely surviving to escape.  The Nova Cat Watch has also improved significantly, thwarting attempts by the Kuritan intelligence agencies gather information or incite rebellions amongst the captured worlds.  After a month of consolidating their gains, Clan Nova Cat would capture Nykvarn, Garstedt, Sawyer, Courdoux, and Chupadero within a three-month span, defeating and/or destroying any Kuritan defenders they faced.  By the end of the year, Kabah and Jeanette were also captured and secured by the Nova Cats.
  • Back in the Kerensky Cluster, not everyone was happy with the new ilKhan.  After the Great Refusal was overturned, the Goliath Scorpions' Khan Ariel Suvorov issues a Trial of Grievance against Garret Sainze, declaring him an incompetent leader who just got lucky and had delusions of glory.  A highly confident Garret Sainze accepted her challenge, and in the ensuing negotiations, reduced the trial to one-on-one combat; in the ensuing Trial, Suvorov would slay Sainze, requiring the election of a new ilKhan.  It would not be until late November that Khan Brett Andrews was voted in as the new ilKhan.  But rather than make a grand invasion plan, the ilKhan opted for the laissez-faire approach, challenging each would-be invading Clan to "go for it, if you can".
    • Clan Ice Hellion opted to answer the ilKhan's challenge, albeit cautiously.  In December, they dispatched a taskforce, led by Khan Raina Montose, to the Jade Falcon Occupation Zone, hoping to gain a beachhead in the Inner Sphere.  Codenamed Operation HAILSTORM,  Khan Raina Montose led the Alpha, Delta, and Zeta Prime Galaxies to the capture of Erewhon, Anywhere, Bone Norman, and Somerset in January 3072, followed by Von Strang's World, Botany Bay, Last Chance, Götterdämmerung, Lackhove, and Here during February and March.  During April, the Ice Hellions consolidated their gains and gained some much-needed supplies, although they lost the CIH Moore's Honor (an Essex-class Destroyer) when it defended a supply convoy from the CJF Emerald Talon (a Whirlwind-class Destroyer), which was also destroyed.  The next two months saw the Clan Ice Hellion taskforce capturing Apollo, Besinger, Toland, Golandrinas, and Wotan, as well as the Camelot Command inside the Dark Nebula; eventually, stiff Jade Falcon defence and counterattacks forced the taskforce to stop and focus on defending their gains.

Screwed up earlier, accidentally posted Clan side before adding IS side

Inner Sphere 3071
The dissolution of the of the second Star League leads into the ensuing results:
  • SLDF formally disbands; former SLDF units either joined the Com Guards, LAAF, or the AFFS, with a minority joining the DCMS.  The Royal Black Watch unit returned to Northwind, and rejoined the Northwind Highlanders
  • Terracap Confederation renamed ComStar Alliance, expanded to include Outreach, Hsien, and Elgin, as well as the Saiph Triumvirate.  In response, the Word of Blake successfully annexes Hall and other Chaos March planets, but fails to include Northwind; Blakists put up a Naval Blockade on Northwind after failed diplomatic negotiations.
  • Paul Marik, with the aid of forces loyal to him and WOB forces, begins campaign against Lyran Alliance in order to tie up the LAAF and prevent them from helping ComStar.  However, the Principality of Regulus, the Duchy of Oriente, and Duchy of Andurien refuses to recognize Paul Marik's leadership, and splits off from the League.
  • Besides the possible ComStar allies, the Word of Blake also targeted the Clans in the Inner Sphere.  Blakists Warships would appear in the systems of Tamar, Alshain, and Sudeten, and Arc-Royal.  Multiple nuclear warheads were launched by the Warships, before being driven back or destroyed by planetary naval defenders.  The planets Alshain and Arc-Royal were untouched, although both Clan Wolf-in-Exile and Clan Ghost Bear lost two ships each in its defence of their planets, but not before completely destroying the Blakists they faced.  Clan Jade Falcon also lost two ships in the defence of Sudeten; however, one of the ships, the Emerald Talon, was sent spiraling downward the planet, crashing into the capital city of Hammarr despite the desparate attempts of the fallen ship's crew.
    • Tamar proved to have suffered the worst, as Khan Ward did not expect the world to be targeted, and at the same time, was distracted by the Clan Hell's Horses and other Clans in the Kerensky Cluster.  As a result, the planet suffered heavily as 17 separate nuclear explosions killed over 2.5 million people. The First Wolf Assault Cluster and the Golden Keshik were effectively destroyed, with the rest of Alpha Galaxy taking severe losses with two-thirds of their defending ground forces wiped out. Multiple factories were annihilated, severely crippling the Clan Wolf's military industrial complex.  Besides these casualties, former Archon Katrina (Steiner) Wolf was also killed in the attack.
      • Also, some brat named Alaric was killed as well.

    • Four Blakist Warships also appeared in Tukayyid, intending to destroy and/or  blockade the ComStar forces there; except that there were no longer any ComStar forces in the planet or in the system.  Out of spite, the Blakists subjected Tukayyid to heavy orbital bombardment, targeting anything and everything in sight.  But before the Blakists could leave, they were attacked by Ghost Bear Warships, who started firing on their enemy as soon as they were in weapons range.  Only two Blakists Warships escaped, both of them heavily damaged; the other two were destroyed.
  • Death Commandos assassinate Candace Allard-Liao, as CCAF launches brutal invasion of St. Ives Compact, instigating what is known as the "2nd Capellan - St. Ives conflict";  AFFS Capellan March mobilize to bolster St. Ives Military Command.
  • DCMS considered making raids to Draconis March, but the invading forces of the Ghost Bears and Nova Cats canceled those plans.

Year 3072: More Fighting
Kerensky Cluster
  • The "Snake Alliance" unleashes its strength against its enemies in the Kerensky Cluster, rather than make their forays in the Inner Sphere.  Clan Steel Viper primarily targeted Clan Jade Falcon holdings in the Kerensky Cluster, while Clan Star Adder unleashed its wrath against Clan Snow Ravens.  By the end of the year, the Jade Falcons were completely driven out of the Kerensky Cluster, while the Snow Ravens only have their Bearclaw enclaves.
    • At this point, ilKhan Brett Andrews still believed in Zalman's ideas regarding Inner Sphere taint, but years in leadership have modified it somewhat.  Andrews believed that the best way to get rid of the taint was to conquer the Kerensky Cluster first (with like-minded Clans), then purge the taint afterwards.
  • In an unspoken agreement, Clans Cloud Cobra, Fire Mandrill, Ice Hellion, and Blood Spirit focused their aggression on Clan Wolf, with the aggressors often discarding zellbringen in the Trials.  As a result in the Clan Wolf holdings in the Kerensky Cluster were slowly and surely being reduced.
    • The losses in the Occupation Zone, especially in Tamar, and in the Kerensky Cluster, eventually drove Khan Vladimir Ward to activate Operation DAMOCLES II, a contingency plan for Clan Wolf to collect and transfer all the genetic legacies of Clan Wolf to the Inner Sphere, as well as any possible resources required, and abandon the Clan Homeworlds.  While DAMOCLES II was being carried out, Clan Wolf units in the Clan Homeworlds fought defensively, while slowly evacuating towards the Inner Sphere.  This was made possible with the help of Clan Coyote and Clan Goliath Scorpion.  By the end of the year, All transferable Clan Wolf assets were relocated to the Clan Wolf Occupation Zone.  The operation itself would be concluded by the following year.
  • Clan Burrock, with aid from the Society (a group of like-minded scientists)  and the Dark Caste, was "reborn" in secret, and made their new home in Tanite worlds.  The reborn Clan proceeded to go on a campaign to of raiding the fringes of the Kerensky Cluster and outposts on the Exodus Road, destroying all HPG stations within fifty light years of the Tanis system. Two major space battles fought against Clan Diamond Shark in the Salonika system led to the capturing of forty-eight merchant vessels.
  • Clan Nova Cat has moved its remaining assets from Vinton, effectively leaving the Kerensky Cluster completely.  Clan Diamond Shark, who is not ready to part with its assets in the Kerensky Cluster, opted to expand its touman by allowing those trueborns and freeborns who had tested out of the warrior caste the opportunity to retest.  Several new clusters were raised as a result.

Inner Sphere
  • Wave two of Operation Snowstorm led to the Ghost Bears capturing the worlds of Tarazed, Tan Linh, Baruun Urt, and Braunton.  DCMS attempts were made to recover those worlds but those were all for naught.  The focus on the Ghost Bears allowed the Nova Cats to capture and hold Shuyler, Savinsville, Albiero, and Hanover, as well as Brocci's Cluster.
  • Clan Hell's Horses continued their conquest of worlds in the Clan Wolf Occupation Zone, ending the year in Csesztreg;  There, Clan Hell's Horses' Omega Galaxy  faced off against Clan Wolf's Beta Galaxy.  Despite being relatively new, the Omega Galaxy would come out victorious in the hard-fought Trial of Possession for the planet, with Hell's Horses Star Captain Quinn Kerensky personally slaying the Wolf saKhan Marialle Radick, inflicting a major blow to the Crusader Wolves' leadership; at the same time, Quinn Kerensky gets promoted to Star Colonel.
  • The Alpha Galaxies of both Clan Ice Hellion and Clan Jade Falcon would face off in Golandrinas in November 3072.  The ensuing battle would end up in a Jade Falcon victory, even with the loss of Khan Marthe Pryde.  For the Ice Hellions taskforce, the death of Khan Raina Montose would be a death blow to their Inner Sphere ambitions.
  • COM-WOB conflict was at an impasse, even when the Blakists used nuclear bombs against ComStar forces, who did the same against the Blakists likewise.
  • FWL forces and their Blakists allies slowly gaining ground against LAAF, appearing to make their way towards Solaris and Hesperus.
  • Despite the loss of Candace Allard-Liao and the planets of Vestallas, Milos, Indicass, and Denbar, the CCAF found itself facing heavier resistance in the invasion of the St. Ives Compact,  especially now that AFFS forces had arrived to assist their allies.
  • Due to the manipulations of the Kokuryu-Kai, several DCMS units made unauthorized raids into the Draconis March, only to be beaten back every time.

Year 3073: More Gain, More Pain
Kerensky Cluster
  • An unknown force conquered the former Jade Falcon world of Ironhold, and annihilating the Steel Viper forces there.  The planet became their new base of operations.  There, a virus was unleashed that caused the Clan HPGs to break down at intermittent times.
  • First half of Clan Snow Raven evacuation convoy made it to Ghent, but was intercepted by Clan Steel Viper and Clan Star Adder Naval forces.  Despite fighting hard, all of the Snow Raven military forces in Ghent were destroyed, and the isorla was divided evenly between the two "Snake" Clans.  On the other hand, the 2nd half of evacuation convoy made it safely to Colleen, with Snow Ravens turning over their Bearclaw enclaves to Clan Blood Spirit.
  • Communications between Inner Sphere and Kerensky Cluster severed due to destruction of all HPG links to the Inner Sphere; the ones responsible framed the Star Adders as the ones who did the deed.
  • Clan Goliath Scorpion's Third Scorpion Seekers Cluster captures star system Waypoint 531.  The Scorpions began using the system as a staging point for their exploration campaigns towards Nuevo Castille, and established trade relations with both the Umayyads and Castilian; this also gave Clan Goliath Scorpion have a clearer picture of Nuevo Castille.

Inner Sphere
  • The death of Khan Raina Montose caused a power vacuum in the Ice Hellions taskforce; in the ensuing power struggle, Galaxy Commander Damon Hawkins became the leader of the taskforce, but at the cost of Alpha Galaxy having only half the forces it had initially, while Zeta Prime was completely destroyed.  Even worse, the Ice Hellions are barely holding on to the planets Lackhove, Here, Götterdämmerung, Last Chance, Botany Bay, and Von Strang's World.  Demoralized and caught between the irate Jade Falcons and the opportunistic Hell's Horses, Damon Hawkins found himself with three options:
    • Continue fighting the Jade Falcons, with eventual destruction a highly probable scenario.
    • Retreat back to the Kerensky Cluster in shame and uncertainty, as they had lost contact with the Kerensky Cluster.
    • Approach the Hell's Horses with an offer of "Harvest Trials", allowing the Horses to absorb the surviving Hellions while retaining the gained planets, albeit now in the possession of Clan Hell's Horses.
Feeling that the last option is the least wasteful, while allowing his remaining forces to save face, Galaxy Commander Damon Hawkins sent his aide  Jude Hildenrath to negotiate with the Hell's Horses for the "Harvest Trials"; the negotiations went well, and by the end of the year, the remaining Ice Hellions and their planets were absorbed by Clan Hell's Horses.  Unfortunately for Damon Hawkins,  he was killed in Lackhove helping fend off another Jade Falcon skirmish before the Trials were completed.
  • After the absorption of all the Ice Hellion taskforce's survivors and the worlds that they captured, Clan Hell's Horses began focusing on defending their new holdings, as well as choosing Csesztreg as their capital for their newly-conquered territories.  Besides Clan Wolf worlds, the Hell's Horses also managed to snag a few more worlds from the Jade Falcons.  At the same time, Clan Hell's Horses discovered something in their occupation zone that causes the Clan to undergo a phenomenon known as "Bronification"; said "Bronification" would later manifest itself in the Hell's Horses Touman in terms of increased interest in Quad 'Mechs and "QuadVee" Omnihybrids.
  • Clan Wolf's Operation DAMOCLES II concluded.  Due to the size of the operation, it was subdivided into several sub-plans:
    • Gladius - Secretly collect all Clan Wolf genetic legacies from the Strana Mechty master genetic repository for transport to the Inner Sphere, except for Kerensky and Winston; mission successful.
    • KOPIS - Secretly steal the Kerensky and Winson genetic legacies from the Strana Mechty master repository, while goading all Clans into attacking the Kerensky Blood Chapel to make them think that the Kerensky legacies had been destroyed; mission successful.
    • SPATHA - Secretly board the WarShip McKenna's Pride to steal General Kerensky's body during the commotion planned during Operation KOPIS, and replace it with a fake; mission successful.
    • PILUM - Should KOPIS and SPATHA be successful, take control of McKenna's Pride and steal the warship for Clan Wolf; mission failed as all the hijackers were killed before reaching the bridge.
  • Luzerne, Byesville, Wolcott, Bangor, and Jeronimo would fall to the Nova Cats by the middle of the year.  The Nova Cats spent the rest of the year consolidating their gains, choosing Coudoux as the new capital of their territories.
    • The Kuritan ISF would eventually gain some information from the Nova Cats, information that shocked them to the core.  They have learned that Minoru Kurita somehow joined the Nova Cats after 3065, and eventually becoming their Loremaster, adopting the name Minoru Nova Cat.  It was through Minoru's wisdom, guidance, and presence that allowed the Nova Cats to defeat any DCMS forces arrayed against them, and somehow win over the conquered populace.

Year 3074: More Gain, More Pain, Mk II
Kerensky Cluster
With the loss of communications with the Kerensky Cluster, no one outside of that area knew of the events transpiring there, until several stragglers from Clan Diamond Shark (as well as their Watch agents) made it back to the Chainelane Isles near the end of the year  (Clan Wolf has similar info, but was also too busy with its own issues).  According to them, an alliance (later known as the Dark Alliance) consisting of elements of the Dark Caste, the reborn Clan Burrock, the Society, and Blakists, waged war against the Homeworld Clans, freely using nuclear weapons, orbital bombardments, and virii of biological and technological nature.  So far, their actions have led to the following results:
  • Clan Fire Mandrill was eventually taken apart as the Kindraas lost all cohesion, with the former Fire Mandrill units and possessions either absorbed by other Clans or destroyed.
  • Several worlds were abandoned, either due to being stripped of resources rendered unhabitable, usually via orbital bombardment or Nuclear Strikes;  Delios, Vinton, and York were the first planets to fall, followed by Tranquil, Paxon, and Priori.
  • Near complete destruction of all the Blood Chapels in Strana Mechty.
  • High number of civilian casualties.
  • Clan Hell's Horses lost contact with their Zeta Galaxy and their remaining Homeworld assets, as well as their staging base in Noveaux Paris due to a combined assault from Clan Burrock and their allies.  Eta Galaxy, the planet's defenders that time, suffered signifcant damage before retreating to their Clan's occupation zone, having being reduced to virtually one Cluster.
  • After a lone jumpship reached Hector to report on the death of Operation HAILSTORM, Connor Rood became Khan of Clan Ice Hellion, but knew that his Clan was living on borrowed time.  Lacking enough resources to defend all of its assets, Khan Rood began talks with the remaining Hell's Horses, while withdrawing all of their movable assets and civilians to Hector and Londerholm.

Inner Sphere
  • Besides the homeworlds, the Society also targeted the Wolves, Hell's Horses, and Jade Falcons, as Etienne (Balzac), one of the leaders of the Society, felt that it was time to supplant the warrior caste in the Inner Sphere as well.  Unleashing biological and electronic-based viruses that wreaked havoc in all three Clan occupation zones, with Clan Jade Falcon suffering the worst, Etienne hoped to achieve the goal by the end of the year.  Instead, the Society attacks within the other two Clans proved to be ineffective (limited to Zoetermeer, Erwehon, and Lackhove), and the brutal response by Clan Jade Falcon (virtually annihilating half of their own Scientist caste) led to Etienne's downfall instead; however, all three Clans still were plagued time to time by attacks from smaller autonomous Society cells.  Clan Wolf-in-Exile, Clan Nova Cat, and The Ghost Bears did not suffer from Society infiltration, and were spared from their attacks.
  • Desperate to break the deadlock against ComStar, The Word of Blake dispatched warships to destroy targets of opportunity in the Federated Suns, Lyran Alliance, and the ComStar Alliance, using nuclear missiles; however, it was not as effective as the Blakists had hoped, and only led to loss of ships and manpower.
    • In the Lyran Alliance, the attacks on Alarion shipyards and Tharkad were repulsed, with the attack on Conventry Metal Works being the only considered successful, as the company was only able to operate up to 50% of its maximum output, including production of the Hauptmann Omnimech.
    • The attacks on certain Federated Suns worlds led to heavy damage, but most of them were spectacular failures, with the attacking Blakist warships either destroyed or crippled beyond repair.  The only successful attack was in Talon, where a heavily damaged Blakist Warship crashed into the Kallon Industries manufacturing facility there, and detonated all of its remaining nuclear weapons, completely destroying everything, and depriving the AFFS their primary source of Templar Omnimechs.
    • The Blakist attack on Outreach was considered a qualified success, even though all none of the nuclear missiles fired ever reached the planet; however, after destroying all of the aerospace defenders, the surviving Blakists warships proceeded to subject Outreach to repeated Orbital Bombardments, until they were eventually driven off by ComStar warships.  By that time, a majority of the industries in Outreach were heavily damaged or outright destroyed; the orbital bombardments also claimed a high number of civilian casualties.  As a result, Wolf's Dragoons was also partially crippled, due to the losses in Outreach.
  • Besides having to deal with the Ghost Bears and the Nova Cats, the DCMS also had to deal with an insurrection attempt in Luthien by the Kokuryu-Kai through the Second Sword of Light and the Sixth Benjamin Regulars;  unfortunately for them, besides the Otomo and the Izanagi Warriors, there were eight other DCMS regiments that were loyal to the Coordinator in Luthien at that time.  This resulted in both insurrectionist units completely destroyed and stricken from the DCMS rolls.
  • The St. Ives Military Forces under the leadership of Kai and Cassandra Allard-Liao began reversing the CCAF advance, with help from the AFFS.  By the end of the year, the CCAF was not only holding on to the world of Milos, but also lost the planet of Necromo and its Aris Memorial Yards to the combined St. Ives - Federated Suns forces. Sun-Tzu Liao found himself in a dilema; should he continue attempting to take over St. Ives, or go after Necromo and the shipyards?

Year 3075: Turning Point
Kerensky Cluster
Not all of the Society leaders were happy with partnering with the Blakists, a majority of them also allies of Khan Silas Kufahl of Clan Coyote.  With their help, the Coyote Khan was able to gather enough information about the "Dark Alliance", and managed to spread the information to the other survivng Clans.  Realizing that they were exposed, the Dark Alliance targeted New Kent and Sheridan, as the Khans of Clan Coyote and Steel Viper (as well as the ilKhan) were there at that time, and Clan Star Adder was gathering their strength; the Dark Alliance hoped that by the decapitating the Clan leadership and the second strongest Clan in the "Snake Alliance", the other Clans would be unable to coordiate attacks against them.  Like before, the Dark Alliance forces used everything at their disposal, and the ensuing battles in New Kent and Sheridan left the planet of New Kent sterilized and claimed the lives of everyone there, utterly crippling the Steel Vipers to near non-existence and leaving the Coyote leadership to saKhan Raven Clearwater.  In Sheridan, the Dark Alliance forces were not as successful, though Khan Stanislov N'Buta died while helping defend Sheridan.  However, both actions  came at the cost of 60% of the Dark Alliance's overall strength, and the Clans now know the identity of their true enemy, and have the ability to counter their technological viral attacks.
  • Besides the main stronghold in New Kent, the Dark Alliance also attacked other Steel Viper enclaves, heavily damaging the remaining Steel Viper forces; the degree of ruthlessness of the attack was as such that civilians were also killed as well.

Inner Sphere
  • Delegates from the Ghost Bear Dominion, Free Rasalhague League, ComStar, and surprisingly Titus Cameron-Jones of the Principality of Regulus met in Tukayyid (the meeting was known as the Third Tukayyid Conference), to discuss the threat of the Blakists, and coordinate on dealing with that specific threat.  At the consent of the Rasalhague leaders, ComStar handed over HPG control of the FRR to the Ghost Bear Dominion, while Titus Cameron-Jones would later learn that the Blakists struck at Regulus itself, killing his father, though his wife and child were saved from harm.  This spurred Titus to expand the Regulan military infrastructure.
  • The Hell's Horses, Nova Cats and the Ghost Bears focus the rest of the year on integrating their acquired territories, as well as fending off probing attempts and counterattacks.
  • Marik/WOB offensive makes its way to Hesperus, only to run into a wall of LAAF Aerospace and Naval defenders.  The "Sixteenth Battle of Hesperus" was primarily settled in space, with the defenders victorious; though some Marik forces managed to land onto the planet itself, they were scattered and were soon overwhelmed and destroyed to the last soldier.
  • Sun-Tzu Liao chose to attack Necromo and reclaim the Aris Memorial Shipyards, committing nearly all but one of his Warships to the attack, while demanding that the remaining CCAF units hold on to Milos at all costs.  However, the Capellan Navy ended up facing a significantly heavier Naval defence, and the ensuing Naval battle resulted in a Capellan defeat; only one heavily damaged Warship and at least three Jumpships were able to return to friendlier lines.

Year 3076: Fighting back
Kerensky Cluster
After a Grand Clan Council meeting in the early 3076, Hannibal Banacek of Clan Star Adder was voted in as ilKhan, and began planning the eradication of the Dark Alliance.  Known as the "War of Reaving", the significant degree of inter-Clan coordination was as such that it rivals even the likes of OPERATION KLONDIKE, culminating in the destruction of the Dark Alliance forces in Ironhold at the end of the year.  Some of the details were as follows:
  • Clan Cloud Cobra, Clan Star Adder, and Clan Goliath Scorpion acted as the primary forces in eliminating the Dark Alliance forces, supported by the remains of the Steel Viper touman under the recently-elected Khan George Mercer.  They first attacked Circe, another major stronghold of  the Dark Alliance, followed by several other notable locations, before the final showdown in Ironhold.  While successful in crushing the Dark Alliance, the end of the conflict also destroyed the Steel Vipers.
  • Clan Blood Spirit got the right to eliminate the reborn Clan Burrock; they were successful in eradicating the Dark-Caste-aligned Clan, but suffered severe casualties due to Clan Burrock using any means necessary to fight back.
  • Clan Coyote found itself in a civil war, with the majority of Tamaron-based forces aligned to the Dark Alliance, under the 'Paper Khan' Elliot McKibben, while the other Coyote forces, especially the elite ones, pledged their allegiance to Khan Raven Clearwater.  The civil war proved to be one-sided, as the Coyotes aligned with Clearwater mowed down their opponents with ease.  The battle for Tamaron proved to be the costliest, with several Warships and Clusters lost on both sides, and both leaders perishing in battle, though the Clearwater-aligned Coyotes won in the end.  Leo Koga would take over as Khan for the Coyotes, and chose to make Kirin the new capital world for Clan Coyote, in order to give his Clan a "fresh start".
  • The remaining Hell's Horses in the Kerensky Cluster, under the leadership of Galaxy Commander Magnus DelVillar, and the remaining Ice Hellions under Khan Connor Rood, worked together to secure there remaining strongholds, as well as purge any Dark Alliance enemies they encounter.  Negotiations began between the two Clans, and eventually both sides agreed to merge their Clans together, forming the new Clan Stone Lion.  Connor Rood was initially the Khan of the new Clan, while Magnus DelVillar was the saKhan.  However, Connor Rood would end up being captured and made abtakha by Clan Goliath Scorpion during a trial two years later, leading to Magnus Delvillar becoming the new Khan at that point.
However, even with the destruction of the Dark Alliance, the remaining Clans still had to deal with hidden Society cells, as well as the ever-present Dark Caste bandits.

Inner Sphere
  • Delegates from the Ghost Bear Dominion, Free Rasalhague League, and ComStar met again in Tukayyid, joined by delegates from Clan Hell's Horses, Clan Nova Cat, Clan Wolf-in-Exile, and Clan Snow Raven, as well as delegates from the Lyran Alliance, Federated Suns, St. Ives Compact, and the Principality of Regulus.  While the meetings (known formally as the Fourth Tukayyid Conference) were primarily about dealing with the Word of Blake and their Marik allies, said meetings led to a discussion about the creation of a post-WOB protectorate state.  In the end, a charismatic delegate from ComStar, Devlin Stone, suggested the resurrection of the Terran Hegemony, albeit with a more democratic leaning.  Thus, the idea of the creation of the "Republic of the Sphere" took root.
    • Delegates from Clan Wolf and Clan Jade Falcon were in the Tukayyid as well, albeit more focused on gaining a chance to get vengeance against the Blakists.  Theodore Kurita also was there as well, representing the Combine, but with an unknown purpose.  Finally, Corrine Marik was also there, as a representative of all FWL members against the current regime led by her father Paul Marik.
    • By the end of the meetings, two things were planned out; the anti-Blakist counterattack known as Operation SCOUR, as well as the establishment of the "Republic of the Sphere" should things go as planned.
      • Speaking of the "Republic of the Sphere", it is believed that Devlin Stone would be considered the leader of the new nation, but only if the Blakists were defeated.
  • Milos was liberated from the CCAF by the end of the year, signalling the end of the "2nd Capellan - St. Ives conflict".  The conflict, while devastating to St. Ives,  proved to be disastrous for Sun-Tzu Liao's reputation, and his popularity took a major hit.  The CCAF, while still somewhat intact, was nowhere strong enough to mount any significant invasions.  In St. Ives, Kai Allard-Liao would take over as Duke, at the behest of his siblings Quintis,Kuan-Yin, and Cassandra.

Year 3077: Blakists get bitten back
Kerensky Cluster
Clan Blood Spirit realized that the destruction of the reborn Clan Burrock had left them vulnerable to the predations of Clan Star Adder.  Under the leadership of Khan Forrest Campbell, the Blood Spirits begin moving as many assets to the hidden system of Colleen as quickly and sneakily as possible.  The Blood Spirit Khan also made deals with the newly-formed Clan Stone Lion and Clan Goliath Scorpion, that would see both Clans stage Trials of Possessions in Bearclaw.  By the end of the year, Bearclaw was firmly in Clan Stone Lion's hands, while the Albion enclave is the only remaining visible asset of Clan Blood Spirit.

Inner Sphere
The multi-national alliance counterattack against the Word of Blake, known as Operation SCOUR, officially started when the Regulan Navy made its way to Gibson in May 3077, and proceed to subject the whole planet to non-stop orbital and nuclear bombardment, destroying the bulk of the Word of Blake leadership, though the "Master" managed to somehow escape.  After a series of sustained bombardments, the Regulans then conducted a conventional assault on the planet, seeking out and destroying any survivors.  By the time the Regulans had left, Gibson has been reduced to a wasteland planet.  The destruction of Gibson allowed for the other fronts of Operation SCOUR to be activated.
  • Operation SCOUR-Lyran front:  Lyran forces, aided by Clan Wolf-in-Exile, Clan Nova Cat, and Clan Hell's Horses forces, pushed back the Blakist-Marik forces, who were somewhat disorganized and discouraged after the Sixteenth Battle of Hesperus.  Though putting up a fight, the Blakist-Marik forces were slowly pushed back, until they were out of Lyran space by the end of the year
  • Operation SCOUR-Davion front:  Comprised of AFFS forces from mainly the Crucis March, and Clan forces from Clan Ghost Bear, Clan Snow Raven, Clan Wolf, and Clan Jade Falcon, the Davion front started with the Liberation of Northwind, and continued on from there.  The Blakist forces used every means possible at their disposal, resulting in heavy casualties on both sides, but could not stop their enemies from pushing them back.
  • Operation SCOUR-Marik front:  The destruction of Gibson coincided with Corrine Marik's nationwide call to rebel against her father, who she viewed as nothing more than a Blakist puppet.  With the exception of Regulan forces, 90% of the FWL forces heeded her call and began fighting against the Blakist forces.  The Blakists were eventually defeated, with survivors retreating to the Circinus Federation.  Paul Marik himself was killed during the fighting in Atreus.
  • Operation SCOUR-ComStar front:  With the loss of Gibson, and distracted by insurrections in the Free Worlds League and the assaults from the Davion front, the remaining Blakists found themselves on the defensive; this allowed ComStar to focus on capturing Hall.  By the end of the year, Hall was firmly in ComStar's hand.
  • While technically there was no Kuritan front in the beginning of Operation SCOUR, Theodore Kurita did manage to help those involved in the operation, by regaining control of the Draconis Combine through good old politically manipulative persuasion, convincing everyone that Hohiro Kurita has failed the Combine in the last five years, and needed "more maturing".  After a pissed-off Hohiro grudgingly stepped down from Coordinatorship, Theodore got to work.  By the end of the year, he managed to hammer a "non-agression pact" with the Davions, the Nova Cats, the Snow Ravens, and the Ghost Bears.  He also moved forces loyal to him towards the Dieron Military District, with the intent of joining the anti-Blakist faction in striking the Sol system as well.

Year 3078: End of an Era
Kerensky Cluster
After the Dark Alliance was defeated, the next two years would not be kind to Clan Blood Spirit.  Year 3078  would see Clan Blood Spirit lose their only enclaves in Albion after defending against a brutal campaign by Clan Star Adder, forcing them to slowly withdraw from the Clan Homeworlds, leaving only their Strana Mechty enclave and the hidden system of Colleen in their possession.  A year  later, a series of major earthquakes devastated Honor, and also killed  Khan Forrest Campbell.  A feeling of pessimism weighed down the whole Clan, until the new Blood Spirit leadership learned of Tortuga Region (a.k.a. the former Tortuga Dominion) from Diamond Shark Merchant Factor Lorenzo.  At that point, the idea of making the Tortuga Region as Clan Blood Spirit's new home was quite enticing, and the Blood Spirits sent emissaries with the Diamond Sharks to see if something comes to fruition.

Inner Sphere
Assaulted from all sides, and with the loss of support from the FWL, the Word of Blake Protectorate was picked apart until only the Sol System was in the Blakist's possession by mid-year.  After making final preparations, the anti-Blakist coalition (also known as the Stone Coalition) would also be joined by a contingent of DCMS forces led by Theodore Kurita himself, before making the final push.  The ensuing battles for the Sol System proved to be the most destructive and bloodiest.  But in the end, the anti-Blakist coalition stood victorious by the end of the year.  The Word of Blake was no more, with the only remaining Blakists survivors, including the "Master",  in the Circinus Federation; said survivors were also finished when a Regulan Naval Flotilla appeared in Circinus and reduced the planet to rubble.

And now.. the finale...

Year 3080 and onwards: the Aftermath
Kerensky Cluster and Beyond
  • ⦁Clan Blood Spirit  was surprised that the Federated Suns were willing to negotiate with them in regards to the the former Tortuga Dominion (a.k.a the Tortuga Region).  With significant help from emissaries of Clan Diamond Shark, Clan Nova Cat, and Clan Snow Raven, Clan Blood Spirit managed to "purchase" the former Tortuga Dominion (a.k.a the Tortuga Region) from the Federated Suns in 3081, in exchange for their current remaining Warships (The CBS Red Raven and the CBS Stooping Kite); the negotiations took two years to complete.  After packing what they can, the Blood Spirits left the Colleen system for good in 3082.
    • However, not all of the Blood Spirits went to their new home, at least not immediately;  Khan Bryce Schmitt and saKhan Lucas Campbell led two Galaxies' worth of forces into Strana Mechty, and challenged the Star Adders for a Trial of Possession of the Adder enclaves.  Shocked by the Blood Spirits' audacity, the Star Adders deployed every defender they have available, while the other Clans watched.  The ensuing Trial was long and both sides fought ferociously; the Star Adders prevailed in the end, with both Blood Spirit Khans dead, and all the Blood Spirit warriors with them sharing the same fate.  The victorious Star Adders destroyed the Blood Spirit enclave in retaliation, and initially reveled in their victory, only to learn later that the Trial was a massive ruse; during said Trial, a taskforce of Blood Spirit warriors boarded the SLS McKenna's Pride and captured the ship, before leaving for Colleen and then beyond, with none of other Clans noticing until the Trial has ended.  By then, it was too late, and the McKenna's Pride would later resurface in Clan Blood Spirit's new home in 3083, where it was renamed McKenna's Bride.
    • James Vargras became Khan of the Blood Spirits upon the death of the previous Khans, and also the leader of their new home, the Blood Spirit Dominion.  He kept the isolationist stance of his predecessors, but with a more Taurian approach (i.e. no getting involved in political alignments, and focusing on inward growth).  Under his leadership, the Blood Spirit Dominion soon thrived.  By the time James Vargras stepped down from Khanship, the Blood Spirit Dominion is self-sufficient, and has good relations with the Clan Diamond Fox (formerly the Diamond Sharks), the Raven Alliance, the Mica Majority, and the Federated Suns.
  • After five years of information gathering and planning, Clan Goliath Scorpion invaded the Castillians in Nuevo Castille, crushing the Castilian military and easily pacifying the civilian populace in 3080, though the Umayyads were left alone temporarily; after three months of negotiations between the Scorpions and the Umayyads, the ensuing three Trials between the two factions (done in the style of Dance of the Scars) all resulted in Scorpion victories, and the absorption of the Umayyad Caliphate.  The Goliath Scorpions spent the next 20 years integrating both sides into the Clan-caste system, modelling it upon the Ghost Bear-Rasalhague integration, as well as upgrading the Nuevo Castille's industrial infrastructure.  At the same time, Clan Goliath Scorpion secretly moved their assets from the Kerensky Cluster into Nuevo Castille.  This was done as the Clan found that their gains were marginal at best, and found themselves being increasingly targeted by the Star Adders and Cloud Cobras.
    • In 3100, Clan Goliath Scorpion moved wholesale to Nuevo Castille, and offically established the Escorpión Imperio.  Finally, in 3140, longstanding tensions between the Hanseatic League and the Escorpión Imperio led to the Hanseatic War, with the Escorpión Imperio conquering the Hanseatic League, and adding it into the Escorpión Imperio territories.
  • As of 3101, only four Clans are left in the Kerensky Cluster; Clan Star Adder, Clan Cloud Cobra, Clan Coyote, and Clan Stone Lion.  While the snake-themed Clans are the most powerful, Clan Coyote has bounced back and is just as formidable, while Clan Stone Lion had become strong enough to be just as formidable.  Also, Warden and Crusader philosophies that once dominated Clan politics had been replaced with "Bastion" and "Agressor" philosophies.  The "Bastion" philosophy espouses isolationism to keep "Inner Sphere taint" from ruining the Clans, while the "Aggressor" philosophy espouses the wholesale destruction of the Inner Sphere in order to keep the Clans safe from "Inner Sphere taint"; so far, "Bastion" factions have dominated the leadership of the remaining Clans, keeping the "Aggressor" faction under control.
  • As for Clan Diamond Shark, they would make the Chainelane Isles their new homebase, and began carving out an economic empire across the Periphery and the Inner Sphere.  They would later rename themselves Clan Diamond Fox, as a  homage for both of their heritages.

Inner Sphere
  • Republic of the Sphere (RotS for short) officially born in 3080.  The new nation initially consisted of the ComStar Alliance and former WOB Protectorate territories, with Exarch Devlin Stone as the ruler, and its military consisting primarily of former SLDF and Comguard forces (as ComStar opted to divest itself of its military arm, wanting to focus solely on maintaining HPGs) known as the Republic Armed Forces.  After a plebiscite campaign in which Stone himself visited former Terran Hegemony worlds, the Republic of the Sphere soon regained most of the original Hegemony Worlds, making it as if the Hegemony itself was reborn.  That said, Stone ran into some opposition, a majority of it from from the Capellans; the Black Dragon Society was also pissed, as Coordinator Theodore Kurita allowed the Republic to gain Telos IV and Dieron, causing the dissolution of the Dieron Military District.
  • The Federated Suns, just like the other Successor States, ceded worlds that chose to join the Republic; the Suns also "sold" the Tortuga Region (a.k.a the former Tortuga Dominion) to the Blood Spirit refugees in exchange for their two Warships (as mentioned earlier), as the number of residents in the region were also dwindling despite improved water and air purification systems, prefering to migrate to the "mainland".  Despite these losses in territory, there was no backlash against its current ruler, First Prince Victor Davion, as his reforms allowed his citizens to live in peace, while ensuring that the AFFS could counter any attacks against the Federated Suns.  Another significant change, made to improve security of the Federated Suns due to being neighbors with Clanners, was the creation of two new Marches; the Basantapur March, which covered the Islamabad and Malagrotta Combat Regions, and the Outback March, which consisted of the Anji Muerto and Broken Wheel Combat Regions.
  • St. Ives Compact also thrived post-Operation SCOUR, with the small realm having their own Shipyard significantly improving their security, though they are still heavily reliant on the Capellan March forces to bolster their defence should the Capellans attempt to invade again.  That said, the current leader, Duke Kai Allard-Liao, focused on ensuring that the St. Ives Compact would survive in the long run.
  • After the disastrous "2nd Capellan - St. Ives conflict", Sun-Tzu Liao was forced to rebuild the CCAF and his tattered reputation.  He would spend the next few years focusing on domestic matters of the Capellan Confederation, quelling internal dissent, and marrying Naomi Centrella, and incorporating the Magestrix of Canopus with the Capellan Confederation.  A couple of decades later, Sun-Tzu would once again make another attempt at expansion, invading the Duchy of Andurien; while initially successful, the Anduriens, with support from the Free Worlds League Military, would drive back the CCAF, and Sun-Tzu would return home in a coffin, dead from a sniper bullet.
  • After the destruction of the Word of Blake, the Free Worlds League was a shattered mess, although it would eventually piece itself back together (albeit losing several world to the RotS), with only the Regulan Fiefs and the Duchy of Andurien still holding out.  Conflicts between the Regulans and the FWL eventually led to the invasion and absorption of the Regulan Fiefs.  This was eventually followed with both the Andurien and FWL forces working together to repel the  the Capellan invasion of the Duchy of Andurien, though it did not immediately result in the Duchy rejoining the League, although it led to closer ties between the two realms.  Time will eventually tell whether the Anduriens rejoin the Free Worlds League fold.
  • After a realm-wide plebicite, Archon Adam Steiner had the Lyran Alliance reverted back to being called the Lyran Commonwealth; the primary reason for this change was to rid the shameful stain of "Katrina Steiner", who was often associated with the "Lyran Alliance" name.  Like the other Successor States, the Lyrans ceded worlds to the RotS, primarily from the Isle of Skye, though key worlds such as Hesperus II remained in Lyran control.
  • The Draconis Combine has lost the most since the collapse of the Second Star League, devastated by the simultaneous invasions from the Ghost Bears and Nova Cats, and ceding worlds to the RotS.  It did not help that the machinations of the Kokuryu-Kai led to the hobbling of the DCMS.  This was the state of the Draconis Combine after Hohiro Kurita re-ascended to the throne upon the death of his father in 3082.  Upon reascension, the new Coordinator immediately focused on rebuilding the DCMS and the Combine's industrial arm, as well as directing the ISF into the elimination of the Kokuryu-Kai, as Hohiro views the organization as a destructive parasite.
  • As for the Clans in the Inner Sphere:
    • The Clans of Hell's Horses, Nova Cats and the Ghost Bears would primarily focus on integrating their newly conquered realms, as well as rebuilding their toumans.
    • The Ghost Bears would also focus not only on rebuilding but also integrating their new planets; better relations with the FRR were also pursued, to the point where the FRR was peacefully absorbed in 3100, and would lead to the renaming of the Ghost Bear Dominion into Rasalhague Dominion.
    • After avenging themselves by helping with the destruction of the Word of Blake, Clan Jade Falcon on mainly rebuilding their industrial base, having lost facitlities they took for granted in the Kerensky Cluster.
    • Both sides of Clan Wolf would be reunited, but not in the way Vladimir Ward expected.  In 3081, Phelan Kell would challenge incumbent Wolf Khan Vladimir Ward with a Trial of Possession for the Khanship of Clan Wolf, which included the exiles.  Surprisingly, Vladimir Ward and the rest of Clan Wolf accepted, with Vladimir seeing it as an opportunity to finally put Phelan in his place, preferably six feet under, and regain additional warriors and resources quickly.  Taking place in the ruins of Smitton, a village north of Tamar City, both Phelan Kell and Vladimir Ward duked it out in a gruelling duel, with Vladimir Ward piloting a custom Lobo battlemech, while Phelan Kell used a custom Arctic Wolf battlemech.  The Trial ended with the Arctic Wolf missing all of its armor and right side torso, while the Lobo was reduced to a scrap heap, with its pilot dead as well.  Phelan Kell's Khanship of the re-unified Clan Wolf was ratified by the rest of the Clan Council, and Clan Wolf was whole once again; although it would take a year for the Clan Wolf-in-Exile assets to be transfered from Arc-Royal into the Clan Wolf Occupation Zone.  The Clan itself would then focus on rebuilding.
      • Phelan Kell would later celebrate his victory by accidentally getting Kanna Kerensky pregnant, again; she was not pleased.
      • As the new Clan Wolf Khan, Phelan Kell opted to retain Ivan Kerensky as his saKhan, who helped him re-integrate both Wolf factions in the reunified Clan Wolf touman, as well as rebuild said touman.
    • Clan Snow Raven would merge with the Outworlds Alliance, creating the Raven Alliance.
    • As mentioned earlier, Clan Blood Spirit made a deal with the Federated Suns in order to acquire the former Tortuga Dominion territories (which was renamed the Blood Spirit Dominion), and has since made it their new home.   Naturally, the Blood Spirits were content with their isolated way of life, although they would have friendly relations with the nearest neighbors.

Somewhere in Coudoux, 3105.....
Former Nova Cat Oathmaster Biccon Winters looked up at the sky, smiling as the stars lit up at night.  As she enjoyed her evening tea, while sitting at the balcony of her dwelling, a large feline (a Nova Cat) made its way towards her, and sat beside her chair, mimicking an oversized cat-loaf.  Biccon would notice the feline, and she would start petting its head.  The Nova Cat enjoyed the petting and purred in response, and this scene lasted for a while.  When the feline noticed that the petting had stopped, it looked up and noticed the former Oathmaster's eyes were glazed, and she sat frozen, with her petting hand just above the feline's head.
After awhile, Biccon Winters' eyes returned to normal, and she shook her head.  As she looked over her feline companion, she sheepishly said, "so sorry about that; I just had a rather interesting vision."
As the Nova Cat looked at her enquiringly, she continued, "I found myself in front of a forked road, with each road leading to a massive viewing screen, and two Nova Cats in front of me.  One had the Star League insignia, the other without.  The one with the insignia then started walking towards the left road, before going into the viewing screen there."
She then shruddered, as she looked up and said, "that was when the viewing screen showed our fate if we sided with the reborn SLDF; we would have lost everything.  I saw the other Clans, especially the Crusader-aligned ones, gang up and attack us with impunity, and treated as dezgra, and by the time we made our escape, we have lost warriors, resources, and most importantly, our dignity.  We were nothing more than a client state under the "protection" of the Draconis Combine, gaining the ire of the Ghost Bears.  In our attempts to foolishly regain whatever honor we have lost, we would have continually sacrificed everything to the Dragon's cause, with little or no gain.  Once the Dragon has no use for us, they unleashed nukes on us, and at that point, Clan Nova Cat was no more."
As Biccon allowed her tears to fall, the Nova Cat looked at her worriedly and offered its right paw to her hand.  During that time, the former Oathmaster shed tears for those caught in that cataclysmic timeline, both for warriors and non-combatants.
After a while, enough tears were shed, and Biccon thanked the Nova Cat.  She then continued, "After that, everything on the left path turned charcoal black, before crumbling into dust, and disappearing.  The remaining Nova Cat in my vision proceeded to move to the right path, before entering the viewing screen there.  Only one picture showed up on the viewing screen; a picture of a Nova Cat, standing strong and proud, on top of a cliff, while looking at a setting sun."
"In a way, that picture somewhat represents our Clan's present situation; strong, proud, and most importantly, free to make our own decisions", said Biccon as she put away her tea set, and continued petting the Nova Cat's head.  "That said, you want a belly rub?"
The oversized feline looked at Biccon for a second, and then made its way to the table in front of her, and flopped its body on it, with its belly exposed.  Biccon proceeded to pet said belly, earning a purr from the prone Nova Cat.  Both Nova Cats, human and feline, spent the rest of the night content with each other's company, and content that the future of Clan Nova Cat is in good hands.
What if the Nova Cats chose not to join the second Star League?  What's the resulting butterfly effect?  See link below:

And that's the end of that Alternate Timeline; due to the significant changes involved, I do not know how the timeline will transition to the "Dark Age" properly, and so I left it there.  Meanwhile, hope you enjoy reading, and I would always appreciate feedback, as I probably screwed up somewhere along the way.

That said, have fun

@Shadow Wraith -Thank you.  I still have several more posts to go; hopefully, they'll be just as enjoyable as well.

@Dragon Cat - Thank you.  By the way, I tried clicking on your AU links, but they don't seem to work.

Well it sucks those links are broken but I've listed them below (it's a little long)

My three main Alternate Timeline with Thanks fan-fiction threads are in the links below. I'm always open to suggestions or additions to be incorporated so if you feel you wish to add something feel free. There's non-canon units, equipment, people, events, erm... Solar Systems spread throughout so please enjoy

former Archon Katrina (Steiner) Wolf was also killed in the attack.
Also, some brat named Alaric was killed as well.
