Paul said upthread it would be Saturday, Jan. 16. Usually gets underway at noon.

Which is the same day/weekend as the new MTG prerelease, but I'm guessing/hoping there'll still be room. The new set doesn't look like it'll be a huge draw.

My ability to attend either day is dependent on events at home.  In he event that both events fall on the same weekend I'll likely show up for the Saturday game over the Sunday game since travel back home is usually a mess on Sunday nights.

Generally a prerelease is well attended even if the set isn't awesome.  People get product for slightly less than face value and test it out to to either buy in or weigh against purchase.  I expect it will be no less packed then normal when they have a M:TG tourney.

Just a quick bump that the next game will be Saturday, starting at noon. (Glen Burnie store)

Hoping to be there. Work however screwed up my paycheck and won't have it rectified until the next pay day (in 2 weeks).  So we shall see if I can afford the expense of the trip.

Tonight's turn out was rock solid.  Everyone seemed to have fun.   Many Javelin's died to make it epic.  Unfortunately, Paul never got the hug he so desired and lusted for. :'(

Doubtful.  I think, except for one lucky soul running around in a Gallowglas, we are by and large running around in mediums at best.  We also started running around in the actual arena maps.  So if Paul feels so inclined as to put us all in the Jungle next time, many of us will cry like babies after trading up and out of our Fire Javelins.

I think the other newbie is about ready to get himself an 8m ride, but yeah, most people are still in mediums or less.

So, I've asked for the 20th of February, and March 19th.
Now, I haven't gotten that fully confirmed, but I don't think it'll be a problem; I'll show up on the 20th and make due with whatever space there is. There's a Star Trek Attack Wing regional qualifier that day, so it should be fairly busy.

Will be another Solaris 7 match, in a Solaris 7 arena. I'll try to find the maps from the more recent Map Pack so we avoid the labeling problems we had the last time.
(If someone else feels like bringing theirs, I won't say no. =) )

I don't know if I will make either date.  Both would seem to fall on the same weekend as my D&D group's session.  We shall see though.

I've been on the fence. I've gone in past years and had a good time, but the next Games & Stuff game is also that Saturday.

One of the Saturday games at Cold Wars is scheduled to use the IO ASC rules. Having been one of many people who took an editing pass on them, I'm very interested to see them used in a real game. Also, IWM is usually present at the con with their full range, which nearly  brings me to tears to see in real life, too.

OTOH, Lancaster is a solid day trip for me, and I have an infant at home, so the Glen Burnie hike might be more sensible. Plus, if Paul is running more Solaris, I want to keep upgrading my 'Mech!

Still trying to decide.

Probably won't be headed to CW unless someone wants just go for a day and car pool.  Have to watch my expenses this year.  The only event I'm hitting up this year is Historicon, because it is in town.

Another Solaris match in the bag! Paul managed to die like a chump multiple times, but people briefly (VERY briefly) stopped laughing when I had an Ymir. Or that Crossbow with 16 APGRs.

Next one: March 26! (We got bumped by the regional pokemon tourney)
More Solaris stuff! People are still having fun with it.

The stoppage of laughter for your Ymir was probably more of a "what the heck is that thing," before we dogpiled it in the on-ramp to the arena (who needs Ishiyama?). Still put-out that I didn't get to drop my sword through its cockpit.

I'mma tell you what, that Vindicator 5L does work, though. Fun ride, looking forward to next time.

Because the G&S game was moved, I can now do both! I'll be heading to Cold Wars on Saturday, with the intention of playing in the ACS game to see how (if) those rules work in real life.

No problem, always happy to teach someone.
Drop me an email addy in PM, or email me direct at: psjardijn@comcast.net and I'll try to work out a date that works for you. I also owe a date for a 3rd session with another player, I'll try to roll that together. Sundays continue to be very tricky for me...

But don't let that stop you from making it to the game on the 26th! I'm pretty confident we'll have some capable people who can help you horribly maim and wreck deserving targets during the melee.

Hi DW,

I'm Aaron, and we played in a game together a month or three ago up at Bel Air Games. I'm trying to plan another installment up there, but it'll likely be the back half of April before I'm off of travel and have a free weekend.

I'll also be at the regular game at Games and Stuff this weekend (3/26) for more Solaris action.

I see where 4/16 is also Games and Stuff's birthday celebration. Think we can get Monte Cook to tag in for a turn?
