Curious that the 'new' Burrocks would be so willing to attack all of the Clans and tick them off. Guess what little is left of them will now go the way of the Wolverines.
The first draft of the timeline this was the decapitation of the Clans. The "Burrocks" that caused these bombings were originally Khans of one of the active Clans who were attending a Grand Council meeting - the two originally were equal victims of a "Donner" styled bombing against the Khans. Only one of the Khans was to escape soon after a Clan or two would invade the Inner Sphere trying to escape the growing conflict... #P

1st June 3087 Barely a week had passed since the attack on the Grand Council chambers and Dagmar Lahiri being laid to rest before Khan Brett Andrews of Clan Steel Viper called the Khans back together for an emergency session. Word of the attack on the Grand Council had spread throughout the population quickly, this combined with the damage caused by the McKenna's Pride had caused great unrest throughout the Katyusha, the capital, and beyond. As a result the Ebon Keshik had been deployed almost constantly to trouble spots however the unit was being over worked and a flash point wasn't far away.
With these troubles on the world Khan Andrews had offered the Grand Council a conference room aboard the CSV Perigrad Zalman which had remained in orbit since the McKenna's Pride had gone missing. “We are at a precipice the Burrocks claim to have been reborn, there is civilian problems throughout Clan space, our military might, our authority is being questioned. We need to make a stand.” Brett Andrews had begun only to be interrupted by laughter from the Jade Falcon HPG link. “Khan Pryde, I would like to remind you that respect if due to your peers.”
“My peers?” Diana Pryde replied a new edge to her voice “how can you, any of you think that you are our peers? Only Khan Rosse of the Nova Cat Clan comes close to our station.” She boasted “each of us controls dozens of worlds while you can barely control one. Allow me to deploy Falcon troops to Strana Mechty and we will have peace within days.”
“Neg!” Both the Cloud Cobra and Goliath Scorpion Khans said together.
“If Jade Falcons were deployed each of us would find our peoples subjugated to Jade Falcon law and justice” Hollyann Kardaan the senior of the two Cloud Cobra Khans objected “something that I will not allow.”
“The you are beyond luck.” Diana Pryde sneered
“I suggest instead we elect an ilKhan.” Hollyann Kardaan suggested smirking at Khan Pryde's image as the Jade Falcon Khan's face twisted in disgust and surprise.
“I will not support a combined effort at Invasion again, we all saw what happened to the Smoke Jaguars” Canin Rosse objected
“And we all saw how your Nova Cats took the easy path.” Stanislov N'Buta Khan of Clan Star Adder barked his Clan had fought and bled beside the Smoke Jaguars largely because the Nova Cats refused to take part in the Invasion.
“We may have taken a different path but hardly an easier one. A renewed invasion of the Inner Sphere will help no-one”
“Agreed” Khan Nathan Fetladral of Clan Wolf said from his own HPG link.
“And still the “Invaders” think everything revolves around them.” Hollyann Kardaan said quietly “instead I suggest an ilKhan, who could lead our people through this trying time.” She suggested “a leader who could supplement security forces with those under the banner of the ilKhan. Any actions taken would be accountable to the ilKhan.”
“I could support such a plan.” Khan Salas Kufahl Khan of Clan Coyote said
“As could I” Khan Garret Sainze of Clan Fire Mandril agreed
“With this in mind I would suggest that Khan Brett Andrews should be this person.” Stanislov N'Buta said “the Steel Vipers are the one Clan...”
“The one Clan that has broken every rule we hold dear” Khan Bjorn Jorgensson snapped “a man who turned that ship you are all on against unarmed JumpShips carrying civilians of Clans Ghost Bear and Snow Raven. I can promise you this, No Ghost Bear will listen to a single order issued by that Khan.” Jorgensson said his anger boiling “until some sanity returns to these chambers consider the Ghost Bear Clan apart from you all.” He said cutting the Ghost Bear link to the rest of the Council.
“And with that the Ghost Bear abandons us, just as its Touman has abandoned the Homeworlds. I believe their Abjuration from this Council is in order.” Brett Andrews said a quick count of votes was made Hell's Horses, Jade Falcons, Coyote and Sea Fox Clans all decided not to vote while Clan Nova Cat, Wolf and Snow Raven all vote to keep the Ghost Bears despite Jorgensson's outburst. The Khans of Clans Goliath Scorpion, Steel Viper, Cloud Cobra, Fire Mandril and Star Adder all voted for the removal of the Bears. Without the Bears to defend themselves the Clan was removed from the Grand Council.
“And with this issue done I believe a new ilKhan should be voted into place” Hollyann Kardaan said “I add my vote to the Star Adder vote to nominate Khan Brett Andrews of Clan Steel Viper to this position.”
“With two votes the nomination is made Brett Andrews do you accept this nomination?” Stanislov N'Buta asked.
“Aff, I humbly will.”
“Are there any other nominations?” Hollyann Kardaan asked the room was silent none of the other Clans challenging the three Snake Clans. Each and everyone of the remaining Khans had realized one thing Clans Steel Viper, Star Adder and Cloud Cobra were working together in the Council chambers. Between them they held more military forces in the homeworlds than any other Clan to vote against them would likely bring fire onto the other Clans. “Then with no challenger, we have a new ilKhan, Brett Andrews.” She said sitting down as Brett Andrews raised from his chair.
“We must stop these threats to our way of life by any means, this so called Burrock rebirth must be put down, our lower castes must understand the order created by the Founder remains and cannot be challenged.”
“ilKhan, I would bid Clan Star Adder's entire Touman to put down resistance on the world of Priori, a world that is a Clan Star Adder holding by rights.”
“Rights of combat which they failed to defend” Diana Pryde quipped quickly, Brett Andrews ignored the Jade Falcon Khan.
“For one month you Clan has sole rights to the campaign to retake Priori” Brett Andrews said nodding to Stanislov N'Buta without even a moment of thought “I will also deputize Clan Cloud Cobra to bring Stana Mechty back to a sense or order. All other Clan military forces are to remain within their enclaves or be classed as hostile.” He said again almost without thought. To all the other Khans it was obvious the Snake Clans had agreed these moves long before this council, they also had a power block none of the other Clans could currently match, old agreements and alliances long broken. With the Ghost Bears removed the Inner Sphere and Periphery Clans had one less voice on their side, the agreement between the Inner Sphere Clans to protect each other's positions in the Occupation Zones from Homeworlds aggression it appeared did not extend to operations in the Homeworlds.

14th June 3087 Instead of speaking as a Major-General of the Star League Defence Force Bannister Cameron spoke to the Inner Sphere's united press as the political representative of the Star League Protectorate. Standing outside the rebuilt Command and Control Complex on the Quantico Islands Bannister could not feel more proud of his people's work in the restoration of the SLDF facility “Ladies and Gentlemen thank you for coming today today I speak to you not as a General, not as an officer, but as a man.” He began carefully he had no intention on coming across as a politician but this announcement was nothing to do with the military either. “Several months ago a Star League Exploration Team discovered a human colony that had been cut off from the rest of the Inner Sphere for hundreds of years. They were living on a cold dark world that had been lost to us, these people were a testament to the human condition of never giving up however their world was dying and their very survival required pastures new.” He said pausing “I offered them such support, however these people wished to keep their independence and preserve their culture.” He said looking over the assembled reported into each of the cameras.
“To that end” he said “with the agreement of Protector of the League Archer Christifori, I offered them Mopelia Island on New Earth.” Bannister said hearing the shock move through the crowd. “Mopelia Island the site of a horrific and cowardly attack in 3076. Since then the world has been allowed to languish, with the arrival of this group, I hope to begin to mend the wounds caused to New Earth and to give this group their second chance. For the immediate future Mopelia Island will be off limits to all outsiders, anyone attempting to breach this cordon without authorization will be arrested.” He warned because the press were assembled the message would hopefully go out loud and clear but he knew that some would try and breach the cordon.
“What is this group called?” Mr Darren Tillsdale reporter for Interstellar News Network asked “what was their world called, how did they get there?”
“The group is called the Fidelis” Bannister said carefully he couldn't think of a reason for anyone else to know the name “they were originally from a Star League Defence Force JumpShip that miss-jumped during the reunification war.” He said, JumpShip accidents were notorious especially during times of conflict, a single thirty light year jump into the unknown with no communications ships could easily be lost, entire units forgotten. “During their time apart from the rest of us the Inner Sphere they have developed their own cultures and processes. It will take them time to adapt to life within the Inner Sphere, I would ask if you can all please respect their privacy until they are ready to join the rest of us.” He said looking into each of the cameras one by one “Thank you.”

18th June 3087 Removed from the position as First Lord Chancellor Naomi Centrella, the Capellan Confederation leader ordered MechWarrior Jason Zaklan famed Capellan War Hero was sent by the Chancellor to steal the show at the Star League Games and win the event. In his custom Ti'Tsang dispatches each of his opponents with a variety of hatchet blows and pulse laser barrages his Mech's Triple Strength Myomer enhanced the physical strikes cutting into the other BattleMechs devastating his opponents. The games are marked as one of the fastest to date and by the massive pro-Capellan publicity after it is all over, small riots between the various factions living on Solaris however Star League garrison and security forces keep everything from getting out of hand. Calls within the Capellan Confederation for a reborn Xin Sheng movement whip many of the traditional Capellans up into a frenzy with many calls of Sun-Tzu Liao's name on many worlds, this reaction comes as much as a surprise to Naomi Centrella than anything as she thought most of the pro-Capellan and pro-Liao feelings were long dead and buried.

22nd June 3087 After a cruise through the Federated Suns and the Draconis Combine the civilian WarShip Starliner One arrives at Thorin where it is met by five Tug-class DropShips under the ownership of Virgin Global and Interstellar. Although the Starliner One was designed to make an extended trip its journey had put a far stronger strain on the vessel than was expected leading to this hardly glamorous maintenance stop.
Company owner Sir Richard Branson X travels from Terra to help with Public Relations to cover for the unscheduled stop. While on board speaking with the passengers Branson authorizes free flights over the University of Thorin and around the system to make it up to the passengers for this unexpected stop.
