Title: Beyond Visible Light Lasers

Such as those using UV, X-rays and so on.  Are they already largely incorporated into existing BT lasers, or are they something gone unused?  And would there be any possible plans to use them, or would it just be an awful lot of wasted energy for little gain, given the nature of armor in the setting?
