I just discovered the thread and have skimmed through it, where are you at now as for making these templates?

Have you started printing and selling cardstock yet?

A lot of this would be awesome to own in a format similar to the hexpacks.

As far as the buildings go, I downloaded the free file Whitar provided, resized, and printed them out on cardstock myself. Why pay someone else for labor, materials, and shipping and handling for something you can do yourself at home?
Why not Zoidberg?

I have never used cardstock, we have a fairly nice canon printer, should that handle cardstock?

Although I love the map packs so if these are printed on that material I would gladly throw money at that.

Cardstock is pretty much just thicker paper and can be bought in reams in standard letter size from any store that sells office supplies. I have a basic HP as my home printer and it handles cardstock just fine. If I could find a way to put these on game board I would. Maybe using an MDF backer board would work well.

This is great! Im making 3d Terrain for hexes but im loving the simplicity of hexboards. Would love to see Catalyst print these on the same cardboard as the intro set.

Hey Whitar,

I finally had the opportunity to use your building hexes in a game. I printed them off on cardstock, then used a self laminating sheet to not only protect the image side, but now I can write on them with dry erase marker to keep track of things like Construction Factor. Here's a pick of the map set up at the start of the game. The objective was to rescue the VIP from the the building at the upper middle part of the board and get him off the bottom edge.

Hey! Looks nice, glad you found a good use for them  :) So how did they prove in a game? Many destroyed? I have the tokens of rubble(smoke, fire) somewhere down these pages, you can print them and use instead of writing. I like the scenario, reminds me of that old SEGA game, first level  O0 I have oil tanks too, for some explosions or capture, some structures can act as ammo storages, etc..

I'll revisit my project soon, I just don't have my PC around to develop the graphics, but have lists of ideas and maps to design.

Thank you all for interest! Any advice or ideas are always welcome!

For this game, the buildings were just used for LoS and cover. In the future, our group might start including battle armor in which case we would start keeping track of CF and destroyed buildings.

Hey guys!

I finished the markers, please check what I've missed, or need to add, and the corresponding mods please. These are movement and shooting mods

Thanks for all ideas!

I think you missed a 't' - in atacker. ;)

While some of them like the unconcious or immobile might be helpful, i don't see any need for most of them.
They look cool. But i don't think they will improve the gameplay. Most of the information is handled easily with dices or are obvious at all (e.g. prone).

Similar to WOTAN's comments, while they can be replaced by dice, some could actually be combined. The Movement modes and (Walked, Ran, Jumped) could be combined with Movement Mods to then have a single marker:

Walked 5-6 Hexes, Jumped 7-9 hexes, etc.

A mech can only take two sensor hits.

the first Sensor hit imposes a +2 penalty, the second hit elimiates all weapons fire.

Quote
Sensors (Head)
When a ’Mech takes a critical hit to its sensors, add a +2 modifier
to the to-hit number every time the ’Mech fires its weapons.
A second sensor hit makes it impossible for the ’Mech to fire its
weapons. Critical hits to sensors do not affect physical attacks or
other electronic equipment mounted by the unit (such as ECM
suites, C3 computers and so on).

Hi, noticed you had an update recently, just wanted to check to see if you still have these for DL/self print or is that blocked since these have been released officialy? I know the rivers one is pretty much impossible to find. i've been looking for some good counters for different buildings and such.

Also i like the move/status counters as well.

well thanks in advanced, just let me know if you have anything public available that i could use for my personal games such as counters, terrain, and even maps

Are any of your maps available for download / purchase yet?  They look amazing and I want to play on them?

Also...

Any thought into making a 2x2 (4x) set of maps?

Hey!

I still need to design a city map, here's the preview of what's already in the package  ;). All advice for map features are welcome. These are single maps, I did not plan 2x2 variants, since that would take double time foe me now, but I'll think about that in future.

I use Whitars stuff for months now. I go to a professional copy story that prints offset on thick carton. And I can really recommend it, because Whitar provided top notch resolution. I cut out those hex-markers and put sellotape on their back to write damage values on it with a non-permanent pen.

@Whitar: could you tell me where to download the highres files?

Edit: is there any chance Whitar that you could give us hills-tiles so that we could create our own hills and mountains for cover?
